The Space:

Relaxation awaits! Enjoy staying at this newly-constructed home overlooking the 7th fairway of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, just a short walk or bike ride from the sugar sand beaches of Hilton Head Island. Palmetto Dunes is a gated mid-island community just three and a half miles from dining, shopping, and marina activities at Shelter Cove. You’ll have direct access to three world-class golf courses, an award-winning tennis center, pickleball courts, an 11-mile lagoon system for kayaking and canoeing, and miles of biking and walking trails.



Wind down in the spacious living room and watch your favorite shows and movies on the TV. Feel free to lounge in one of the bedrooms and view them as well since the house boasts three in total. Your group's chef will adore the stylish kitchen and its plethora of amenities. Prepare anything from a small snack to a feast everyone won't soon forget and indulge in the dining area together. Better yet, take the food to the patio and dine alfresco while taking in the breezy air and having front-row seats for the nearby golf course. After your food settles, cool down in your own private pool before coming inside to rinse off in one of the house's many showers. As the evening comes to a close, rest in one of the many available bedrooms and blissfully fall asleep.

Clean and beautiful home

Really loved the kitchen, bedrooms and cleanliness of home. Love palmetto dunes. Need to find a way to protect the pool area from stray golf balls and provide shade. Triangle canopy shade may solve both concerns. Would definitely stay there again

HHI in June

The property as very nice, new and spacious and our family had a great time. The only negative was the kitchen was ill equipped when it came to utensils, basic kitchen tools and pots and pans.

Worst Vacation Rental in 20+ Years

It’s truly a shame, as this home could be great. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The amenities were not as advertised. The pool was filthy and unsafe, despite 3 different attempts by the pool company to clean it. The gas grill was unusable and unsafe, as it was rotted through to the rusted, malfunctioning gas tank underneath. Many of the pans in the kitchen were also unusable and unsafe due to heavy rust and chipping of nonstick surfaces. The dryer was broken. The washer was broken too, but the owner was aware from previous tenant and replaced it on the second day of our stay. The wine refrigerator was broken/didn’t cool. The shelves in the kitchen refrigerator were cracked and some drawers couldn’t even be closed. Some of the televisions weren’t set up properly so we couldn’t use them. The doorbell didn’t work and the front porch light cover fell off (luckily none of us were standing underneath it when it dropped.) There were multiple hornet nests along the front and back of the home. Even though we reported everything to Vacasa on day one, issues still weren’t resolved by day 3, so we left after finding a different place on the island to stay for the remainder of our vacation.

Week long vacation stay and would not recommend or stay here again. There were multiple issues - starting with no wifi or tv for the first 5 days along with a leak in the upstairs shower and several fallen light trim when we entered the home. All of the outdoor furniture is disgusting and rusted and should not be used. The grill was unusable due to rust. The house needs a full update. The handle going into the pool was extremely unstable and my parents had difficulty getting in and out without falling. This house is not as advertised at all and not worth the price. Hornets and bees nests everywhere. Also heads up on the corner round in the kitchen…loose and dangerous.

Overall good stay but more was expected

When we arrived at the home, the first thing we noticed was an extremely small driveway with an extremely full garage. The garage was so full of bikes, stacks of plywood, beach gear, etc. neither of the parking spots in the garage were possible to utilize. Later that evening, a guest parked near the road on the empty lot next door due to the fact there was only room for three vehicles in the driveway (the same driveway we were promised room for five vehicles) and was welcomed with a parking ticket that is shown above. The second thing we noticed after arrival was that the pool in the backyard was totally green with disgusted algae and trash. There was a dip net lying near the pool that was full of grass and leaves. After opening the skimmer we found it to be completely full of leaves, straw and dead frogs. I own a pool at my home and know how dangerous this can be for the life of pool pump. Therefore, I cleaned out the skimmer. It took me two attempts to clean the debris before I could even reach the skimmer basket. I emptied the basket completely. The next morning I reported the pool situation to a young lady in your office (didn’t get her name). She was very understanding. I told her I wanted the pool to be cleaned and some rental consideration. I specifically just asking for the Thursday night stay to made complementary. She promised me that a property manager would contact by the end of the day on Friday, and that if the manager could not contact me, she would herself. The pool was cleaned by the time we returned to the home Friday evening, but I am still awaiting the phone call. After the stay concluded I tried all morning to reach someone at the office by phone which is impossible. I sent multiple emails to the entire and still no response.

Golf outing with good friends.

The property was near perfect for our needs. We were five classmates getting together with others staying in Palmetto Dunes. We each wanted our own bedroom and preferably our own bath. The house has five bedrooms plus four full baths and a "powder room". Five full baths would have been preferable, but it worked fine.
