Talk about location! South Kihei is the place you want to be - the BEST SWIMMABLE BEACHES with LIFEGUARDS! Grassy parks with restrooms and WALKABLE to many eateries and shops. South Kihei is centrally located on island - about a 20 min drive from the airport and the perfect place for your home base while visiting here. You're in the heart of everything! South Kihei is the suniest part of Maui.

Kamaole Sands is a premiere condotel resort with over 15 acres of lush landscaping, tennis and pickleball courts, huge pool and kiddie pool plus two Jacuzzis (adult and family). There is a gym, rec area and large gas grilling stations throughout the grounds with prep and seating areas. Our front office offers computers for your use and Free Wifi. Parking is always FREE and assigned when you stay with us. The grounds are gorgeous with fountains, waterfalls and meandering paths to stroll.

The most requested building in this resort is Building 10 -closest to the ocean - which is where you will find both of our condos. Ocean Views from our extra large lanai make this a favorite feature of this condo. You can sit here and watch the whales breech during whale season and always the perfect place for those amazing Maui sunsets.

This condo is a favorite for Honeymooners but can also sleep up to 4 with a Queen Murphy bed in the living room and 2 bathrooms. We get wonderful trade winds that naturally cool and refresh but rest assured on hot balmy days there is Split AC in both the living and bedroom for your comfort. You rarely will need it but its nice to know its there if you do!

We sit directly across the road from Kamaole Beach III - one of the best beaches on Maui. It literally is a 3 minute walk from our front door to the oceans edge! Imagine how convenient it is to be so close when its time for lunch!

We encourage guests to rent a car because the island of Maui is so diverse and the best way to see and explore it is by having your own transportation but if you chose not to rent a vehicle no worries - public transportation stops in front of the property and there is plenty of amenities close enough that a car isn't essential.

Lets talk beaches! South Kihei is known for the quality of its beaches and the amount of them. There are 4 beaches with in walking distance and 3 of the 4 have parks and lifeguards. Because water conditions constantly change, lifeguards are a big deal. Kamaole III is a perfect beach to play, swim, snorkel and boogie board. You will also see local Honu (sea turtles). Everyday at sunset the park there gathers with people to watch the sunsets - a great place to socialize and meet new friends!

Why do people love South Kihei? First location - it is centrally located on island so it's the perfect starting point for all your Maui adventures. Beaches - the most and best swimmable beaches on Maui with parks and lifeguards. It the warmest and driest part of the island which means more sunny days!
NO HIGH RISES - Kihei is low density - no building is over 6 stories and most are less than that. You will find more condos than hotels - so Kihei is more family friendly and AFFORDABLE. Kihei is also a mix of locals and visitors - a chance for you to mingle and truly feel like an islander. Kihei is laid back and low key - less touristy than the West Side.
Finally, the devastating wildfires did not touch Kihei - it is as beautiful as ever and you are not taking housing away from any fire victims. You will be welcome here.

Perfect spot

Great location just across the street from the beach. Loved sitting on patio overlooking courtyard with ocean in the background. The place was roomy, very comfortable and had everything we needed (coffee pot, beach towels, etc) Loved having a washer/dryer in unit. Would gladly stay here again. Easy walk to shops and dining down the road.

truly wonderful

The kamaole sands is ideally located and the condo is in the best building (#10). Centrally located with access to the beach and water views from the lanai. We truly enjoyed ourselves in every aspect. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well supplied. Grounds are great for kids but also quiet for the adults.

Great location overlooking paradise.

We spent 2-1/2 weeks here and couldn't have been happier. The location was fantastic, the wonderful Kamaole III beach right across the street, as well as just minutes away from other wonderful snorkeling spots. The condo is exactly as described and the owners are honest and quite responsive, as well as the 'on island' contact. We are already thinking about our return trip and will surely want to stay here again. Thank you Sandi and Jim for a wonderful vacation.

We had a wonderful weeks stay in your condo. It's situation in the complex is excellent - somewhat set apart and with views of the fountains and ocean. The condo itself has everything you could wish for an enjoyable stay. It's definitely a cut above and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I also liked that the complex is on the south end of Kehei, making it a little more quiet.

Dream vacation

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Sandi's and Jim's Kamaole Sands condo. I did a lot of research before choosing this property and am happy to say that it was as wonderful as the photos and reviews posted on this web site. We loved spending time on the lanai, the interior was nicely decorated, and the grounds were beautiful. We had a great view of the ocean and the ponds. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone who plans to visit Maui.

Perfect setting!

The condo is lovely and well-appointed. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for basic cooking. The grounds of the complex were so beautiful, and the view from the condo lanai is outstanding. The Murphy bed in the living room gave us the extra sleeping space we needed, and my son said it was comfortable. We'd return in a heartbeat if an opportunity comes along.

Our Perfect Vacation

We came to Maui for our wedding/honeymoon and found Jim and Sandi's condo online with VRBO. It was more than what we ever expected and could not have had a better time. The VRBO description does not do it justice as compared to the experience and the help Sandi provided made our experience a piece of cake. We cannot wait to return to Kamaole sands and would recommed this unit to anyone. As we had many family members over for our wedding, we got the opportunity to see other units throughout the complex and this unit was the best by far and turned out to be the meeting place every afternoon/evening to enjoy the sunsets from the lanai!

This unit in building 10 was exactly as advertised and absolutely perfect for our stay. The deck was awesome and one of the larger ones ( the small ones are very tiny!).the place was well equipped with everything we needed - kitchen -linens and beach towels etc. There were lots of fans everywhere which kept the unit nice and cool . There was a portable a/c in the bedroom but we found we didn’t need it.We’ve stayed at Kamaole Sands several times and it never disappoints. The grounds and pool are always in great shape and you can’t beat the location . We would definately rent this unit again .

We just got home from Haw...

We just got home from Hawaii and had a fabulous time in Kihei in Sandi and Jim's beautiful condo! It was everything Sandi said it was going to be and more. The beach was literally steps away and the view from the lanai was gorgeous. The grounds and pool at the Kamaole Sands were fantastic too. We will definitely go there again, and we have no hesitation in recommending this home away from home. We chose Sandi and Jim's place because of how beautiful the pictures were, and also how much information Sandi provided in the research phase of choosing a condo....an overwhelming process with so many to choose from. She was so helpful and made the booking process a snap! Mahalo!

Wonderful Holidays In 10-207

My wife, daughter, son-in-law and myself spent Christmas and New Years at this wonderful Kamaole Sands condo. The kids raved about the very comfortable Murphy Bed. Our bed was very comfortable too. We had stayed at the Kamaole Sands on several occasions and this was absolutely the best condo. The condo was extremely well stocked with different spices and all the kitchen utensils you could possibly need. The extra large lanai was very comfortable for 4 people. The view was great overlooking the fountains and the ocean. The Christmas decorations made for a festive atmosphere. The owners were wonderful and let us stay a couple hours after check out while our other condo was getting ready. I would definitely recommend this condo to relatives and friends. We hope to return soon.

Everything was great!

Part way through our stay, we actually TRIED (just for fun) to find something about either this unit, or the complex, that we didn't like... we failed miserably! My husband and I, and our 10 month old son, stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. I was pleased to find that we needed to make very few alterations to the unit in order for it to be safe for our mobile little guy. And although I was expecting to use the AC, we never turned it on... its true that the afternoon breezes fly right through the place and cool it down! I echo a previous reviewer about the master bed... it was a little too soft for our liking, but we just removed the piece of foam (which, truthfully, was a bit of a head-scratcher for us, as the bed was very comfortable on its own), and slept great. Kam Sands is a brilliant complex - I've never stayed there before, but don't think I'd stay anywhere else. And Kihei is a good jumping off point to explore the island. We explored just about every corner of it and loved coming "home" every night to the comfort of this unit, and the beautiful beach sunsets across the street. This was our first time to Hawai'i, and it was wonderful. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Location and top line furnishings

Kamaole Sands is the best condominium resort in South Maui, and this is one of the nicest units in Kam Sands. Building 10 is one of the most desirable buildings, and unit 207 has an excellent location in that building. The unit has every thing needed for an enjoyable vacation, and the decor is unexpectdly fine.

Needs a thorough cleaning. Lots of dust. Could use some upgrades. Overall a good place in a decent location. The sand is amazing at the beach. I'd say its a bit pricey but not a rip off. Good for a small family looking for lots of nearby amentities. Very nice of them to offer a discount at the foodland grocery store.

An overall satisfactory stay.

This beautiful, CLEAN, furnished, well-stocked, and comfortable condo was just what I needed for my Maui trip. It was a narrow little place suitable for a couple or small family. It had a lovely bedroom with a stylish functioning bathroom and comfortable bed with clean sheets and comforter. The living room had a good looking and sturdy murphy bed if needed, a comfortable stylish couch with a couple chairs. All smooth shiny tile. The kitchen was clean, functional, very well-stocked with cookware and cooking ingredients and condiments probably left by previous tenants, and the fridge was modern with working and spacious freezer. One other big plus of this place was it's building's- (the most requested building of the complex) convenience to the private code-access gate. It was directly across from K beach park III, and a few blocks walk from the nearest restaurant. I also really liked the complex' sense of security, like having a key-pad operated gate for cars and people via an access code, and the door the condo required keyless code which was given to me by the managers just before I arrived there. I loved this new method of condo access as it gave me less to worry about like holding and possibly losing a key. Now the minus: the lanai was decent and clean, but the other people around can be a problem. The lanais were built so if you walk to the railing you can see everyone around you and they can see you from their lanais, like a big community setting. Some may not mind it, others like me value privacy more and did not care for such an intrusive, boxed-in feeling. You are a few feet from the water fountains that run loudly from 9 AM - 9 PM, which may be good to blanket some of the noise of people nearby, but you'll have to stand the noise from the early mornings through the evenings. Fortunately most people seem to respect the quiet hours of 10 PM - 8 AM. Another unfortunate item about the condwas the treeline from the K beach Park was BLOCKING the famous Maui water view. No sunset and no west side view much. Just a view of the courtyard, the northern complexes and the road. Overall, this was a good place for me and I may consider staying at KS again, but I would look at other places in Kihei, perhaps something on the top floors to avoid that uncomfortable boxed-in feeling. Also, big props to Jim & Sandy for impressively managing and maintaining a classy stylish Maui condo. You helped make my visit to Maui a good one

Wonderful stay

A Home Aaway from Home

Sandi and Jim's condo has everything anyone could need for a wonderful vacation. It's a very warmly decorated home, with a full stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for beach and everyday use. It was easy to access and the staff at the main office was very friendly and helpful at check in. Perfect Beach Stay

We absolutely loved our stay here! Right next to the beach! We spent every breakfast sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the property and ocean. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed - even beach chairs and sand umbrella we enjoyed on the beach several times.

Exceptional!

My family and I booked with Sandi and Jim for our first trip to Maui since our daughter was born. During the booking process Sandi was very helpful noting all the family friendly amenities of the property and the surrounding beaches/parks. Upon arriving we were very pleased with the unit itself which was clean and spacious. The view from the lanai was the best, you can see the ocean perfectly, watch the sunset, and the grounds were breathtaking with their greenery and all the birds! Its a short 5 minute walk to the beach which includes a park area that provides shade with swings and public washrooms. The pool area on the grounds is also a five minute walk and is perfect for little ones, there is a 3 foot deep children's pool. There is a great little on-site cafe at the pool area that serves breakfast, smoothies, and shave ice. This was the the perfect property for me and my family and we cannot wait to go back and stay with Sandi and Jim again. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the Kihei area.

So Beautiful!

This condo is perfect...location and view! I think we enjoyed the balcony most of all. It is large with plenty of space. Inside is small but compact and well decorated. The only minus is that the person using the murphy bed has NO place to put clothes, etc. Instead of the big plant, there could be a small closet. I had to use the small table in the hall for my things. The kitchen was fully furnished and recently redone. Thanks for a great stay!!

Welcome to Paradise~ as close to Heaven as you will ever find here on earth. Our names are Jim and Sandi Resheske and although we live on the mainland (in So. CA.), our hearts are always in Maui! We are semi-retired, but hopefully will make Maui our permanent home in the near future. Until that time, we enjoy our stolen moments away from the rush of mainland life in Maui and enjoy all she has to offer. From the time our girls were small, Maui has always been their favorite place to go. We have traveled the World and we agree with them, there is just no other place like it! There is alway so much to see and do that you never get bored, and if doing 'nothing' is what you are after, then Maui if perfect for that too!

As stressful as life is these days, Maui continues to always bring a smile to our faces. Life is just easier here and a little better!

I often compare Maui and Kamaole Sands to the story of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears - Maui is 'just right!' Lot's to do or nothing at all - your choice. Lot's of tourist attractions but Old Hawaiian Charm and traditions abound. Conveinence yet still unspoiled. The choices are endless, but whatever your desire, you can find it in Maui.
We have traveled the World and no place compares to the beauty and safety of Maui. A place that is part of our United States, where English is the primary language and homeland security is top notch. A place of beauty and adventure. Only Maui...........
Kamaole Sands is one of the premiere condo resorts of Maui. Over 440 units, offering some of the largest floorplans on island. Add the lush and well maintained grounds (over 15 acres), beautiful fountains, pristine pool and jacuzzi's (2), tennis courts, kiddie pool, rec and exercise room - well it just doesn't get much better. Then top it off that we are directly across the street from Kamaole Beach III, one of the best beaches in all of Maui! Shallow, sandy bottom beaches, lifeguards, State Park with picnic area, rest rooms and playground only a 3 minute walk from our front door! We have toured and stayed at many other properties but Kamaole Sands is the best! Our guests think so too - just read our guest comments!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Kamaole Sands is in a great location - South Kihei isn't too busy, but close to everything! We are located next door to Wailea - known for it's famous golf courses and fabulous shopping. Of course, you never know what famous person you just may run into! Kamaole Sands could be a destination in itself - super sized pool, tennis courts, jaccuzzi's, lush landscaping and so much more, but it is also located directly across the street from a beautiful park with restrooms, playground, barbecue areas and a fantastic beach! Then there are all the shops and restaurants that are within walking distance - a perfect location!

If you like to fish or go whale watching, Kihei boat ramp is also within walking distance and there is the local Maui Bus that stops in front of the complex if you wish to travel further.

Pilani Hiway (Maui's answer to the expressway) is just a few minutes away - allowing you to go to 'town' - to places like Costco, Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe's or The Queen Mall- a major 2 story shopping mall (Macy's, Sears) within about a 15-20 minute drive.

Kihei Town is quaint and the people are warm and friendly - Kamaole Sands is a large complex (440 condos) with a lot of amenties and is kid friendly. Our condo is located in Building 10 - the closest to the beach and the most requested. It has the Extra Large Lanai, giving our guests wonderful views of the Romantic Maui Sunsets and of the ocean and outter islands.
Our condo is the perfect place to make your Maui vacation memorable - enjoy the magnificent Maui sunsets from the privacy of our extra large Lanai, as well as enjoy the Ocean view and dancing fountains. Our condo is situated to take advantage of the gentle Trade Winds that blow each day - truly makes you feel like you are in Paradise (which of course you are!).
