The two top floor bedrooms have queen size beds, and private full baths. The front bedroom also has a private balcony over looking the beach.
One down stairs bedroom has two twin beads.
With full bathroom across the hall.

The golden dog inn is located three miles in either direction between the two towns on topsail island.
Surf city and the town of topsail beach offer restaurants, shopping, and entertainment for the whole family.
The historic city of Wilmington N.C. Is less then an hour away with even more attractions.

Wonderful place for a family! Check in was a breeze. The beach was outstanding and the house had everything we needed. Space for games, movies and meals and also some quiet retreat spaces. Will definitely look to return!

Perfect home away from home. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 puppies to spread out. The backyard was a perfect spot for the pups to do their business and run around a bit. Wonderful views if the beach from the balconies. Loved the close beach access right across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet beach getaway

The house was clean and spacious. Huge main bedroom with a second floor balcony with a great view of the beach. Large beach with no crowds. Awesome spot for a laid back family vacation.

Great Family Vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Golden Dog Inn! We take an annual vacation with our mothers (mom and mother-in-law) and our pups. This one was the best! Rooms are spacious. View was amazing. Location couldnā€™t be better!

So relaxing!

The Golden Dog Inn is in a perfect location with beautiful views of the ocean and an easy drive to both Surf City and Topsail Beach. The condo was very comfortable with everything that we needed (you do have to bring your own bedding and towels). The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. We loved being right across from the beach. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We highly recommend this property.

Great location

This house has a terrific view, beach access and the decks are both covered, which allowed us to sit in the shade at any point in the day and enjoy the ocean breeze. The beach in front of the house was not heavily populated during our stay (July 4th week). The house was clean and well-equipped and our host was responsive. We did a lot of our own food prep and the kitchen had what we needed.

Great stay

This house and location were even better than we expected. Home is bigger and more updated than the photos show. Not a typical beach rental in that it had a beach-y vibe without the over the top tackiness and REAL, purposeful furnishings instead of mismatched/tag sale furnishings you often find. Topsail Island itself has won us over for Favorite NC beach so far. John was very good with communicating and of course- our dog felt at home and loved having a yard to run around in!

The Golden Dog Inn is definitely a great vacation home! It is clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. Three full bathrooms is a huge plus! This is one of the few homes with direct, private beach access..there are no homes in front of this house on the beach road. There are two covered porches to watch the sunrise and moonrise, even in rainy weather. There is a huge fenced yard and huge deck out back, which is fabulous if you bring your furry family friend. The owner was wonderful to work with, answering all emails and questions very timely. I would absolutely rent this house again.

Exceptional Experience!

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. The home was well taken care of and had all of the modern conveniences that you would want. Everything was clean and well-kept. The view from each porch was perfect, especially in the morning. The location on the island was convenient to restaurants and shopping. I have been coming to topsail Island for 40 years and I have to say that this location was prime. The owners were very friendly and prompt with communication. Even though this property is dog friendly, you would never know because of the cleanliness. Loved our stay!

What a view!

There are a couple of things that weren't exactly right, (we didn't find the dishes for a day since they were left in the dishwasher.) but nothing that could take away at all from the overall setting. The host was also very cooperative when we found a broken table. He took care of it in a matter of just a few hours.

A Dog-Gone good timeā€™

The photos donā€™t do justice to the house. Our two small dogs enjoyed the back yard and deck. The private beach entrance gate is directly across the streetā€”if you forget beverages or dogs, it is maybe six minutes round trip from your beach umbrella to the house and back. The two oceanside decks offer beautiful views. The upper deck (on the third floor) has especially great views. Some comfortable deck furniture up there would really be nice. The captainā€™s chairs on the lower deck were great fun. Good kitchen. Very private. We had a good time. The dogs had a good time. A beautiful week.

Great house with a wonderful view!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spacious and very clean. We loved the view from the deck! It was very quiet and peaceful. Itā€™s a short walk to beach and it always felt as if we were the only ones there. Our Corgiā€™s loved the fenced in back yard. It was nice just to let them out there without a leash. The check in and out process was very easy. John is a great host and communicates well! We plan on coming back!

Lovely place

We loved our first stay on Topsail Island. The house was clean and conveniently located. Gorgeous views of the ocean from two covered decks. The beach is particularly wide compared to OBX with not many people on it Our pup loved the fenced in backyard. The only drawback was the road noise, especially on the weekend. The kids and I didn't much mind it. Our pup did. All in all, a wonderful vacation.

Great Location

Canā€™t beat the location and proximity to the beach. Love that the unit has its own private dune crossing located directly in front of the unit. The pictures on the listing donā€™t do the place justice it is much more spacious and light filled than shown - we were pleasantly surprised! Will be back again!
