Luna Azul, nestled on the south ridge of Los Chivos in Vieques, PR. We have an incredible view of the Caribbean and the famed Bioluminescent Bay. We are a short drive to all of the breath taking beaches as well as centrally located between Isabel Segunda and the Malecon. Al fresco dining on either of the two verandas you will experience the serene beauty of the fruit orchard and salt water pool. Our property features a beautiful open floor plan for entertaining - create your own memories at the stunning Embuya Brazillian walnut table that seats 12. Main level includes a smart tv with cable, amazaon prime and netflix. There are two bedrooms with queen beds with full ensuite bathrooms on the main level and one bedroom suite on the lower level with three twin beds or one king and one twin. The kitchen area provides bar seating for 6. Amenities include coffee maker, toaster oven, toaster, blender, microwave, all the utensils for cooking and entertaining, bbq grill (gas and charcoal), full size washer and dryer. Beach amenities include cooler, beach towels, beach chairs, pool floats, boogie boards, skimboard, snorkel gear, umbrella and assorted beach toys.
Start your day with a morning coffee while enjoying spectacular southern views of our island paradise . After exploring the island and its beaches you can retreat to the veranda for an evening sunset and cocktail hour. Whether you choose to make a reservation at one of our award winning restaurants or visit our Pescaderia for the fresh catch of the day, either choice makes for a perfect evening.

This was a beautiful location offering beautiful views and privacy. Sue and Tim went above and beyond to help us after we missed a connecting flight from San Juan to Vieques, helping to find last minute ferry tickets, help us get to our rental car the next morning and to pick up our luggage at the airport. They even offered a car for us to use but we already had one rented. They told us about the history of the island, current events, where the local fruit market was, the best places to eat, etc. We learned so much and felt looked after. They reside in the top property which is separate from the rental, but connected in a way so the balconies tie it together to look like one house. I never heard them or felt the need to be quieter than what we were. There are lots of sounds from nature which we find peaceful. If you are a light sleeper like me, playing white noise from spotify could help you sleep more soundly. It is a part of my daily sleep routine so nothing new to me. With the air conditioner running and white noise playing I heard nothing until I chose to turn it off. At first I didn't know how much we woukd enjoy being on the same property as our hosts, but I did enjoy them and found it beneficial that there was someone to look out for us. They were very relaxed, super friendly, and extremely helpful, even telling me where the closest urgent care was when my allergies were out of hand. We would absolutely stay here again.

Outstanding base for family exploration of Vieques

My family of 4 (kids 9, 3) had an amazing stay at Luna Azul. The house was clean and extremely well stocked for cooking supplies and linens. Additionally, there was everything you would need for an outstanding beach day. There were chairs, umbreallas, snorkels, boogieboards, paddleboard, all of it. And all of this in an amazing setting with a great little pool, tremendous views of the bioluminescenant bay. It was a great house for a family, group of adults, or whatever you need. We are already scheming to come back.

Vieques Retreat

Wonderful stay at this gorgeous location. Spectacular views, expansive property with lush fruit trees everywhere, close to town and beaches and one of the best stocked homes I've ever rented. We had a party of six and never had a moment where you couldn't go somewhere on the property if you wanted some down time. From check-in to check-out easy and hassle free. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

We had a great experience with our first trip to Vieques with friends. The accommodations, location, & the properties amenities were all great. Communications with the hosts were effective & timely. Vieques has some amazing beaches.

Beautiful Spot!

We had such a wonderful time at Luna Azul. The location can not be beat. We all enjoyed mornings and evenings on the terrace overlooking the beautiful yard and bio bay. Sue was so responsive and the house manager, David is a complete delight and knows the island inside and out. Great comfy house, super kitchen and beautiful pool. Pool lit up at night is extra lovely.

Fabulous NYE Vacay!

From the booking process, to check in and Check out, Sue the owner and David the property manager were absolute professionals. Both were incredibly friendly and helpful, with easy and quick communication. They even reached out to me a few days prior to check in to introduce the house manager via text and get my arrival details. The house is beautiful and bigger than expected! Large pool overlooking the bio bay. Plenty of beach chairs, tables and space to layout and enjoy the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking needs, we had breakfast everyday at the house and 2 dinners. Each bedroom is large with its own closet and bathroom. Such a pleasant surprise to have a smart TV with both local television on the Dish network + Amazon prime and Netflix! As someone who has been visiting vieques regularly for over 20yrs, I can tell you this is rare and special. We loved our stay and highly recommend it to any groups, the house easily fits 3 couples or families with children. It is centrally located with an easy drive to the beaches, town and basically down the road 2 mins from the main grocery store. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

As a 2 bedroom, this is a three star listingā€”-3 bedrooms bring it to a two star. The third bedroom is on the ground floor and is only accessible via an outdoor staircase. Though it has an en suite bathroom, there is not a bathroom door. The bedroom is air conditioned, but the AC unit is located in the bathroom. There is not a closet, either installed or furnished, in the room and no supplementary provision is made for hanging clothing. The skim coating on the ceiling is buckled, cracked and peeling in places. There is versatility with three beds, however none have a bedside table. As a two bedroom you will find a spotless accommodation with gorgeous views. Uncomfortable beds prevent a five star rating. Overall you will find a well furnished kitchen, a spacious interior with comfortable furniture, wonderful covered verandas with additional comfortable furniture, and a lovely pool. Though the hosts are onsite, they are truly invisible, respectful, and accommodating. A good choice for a two bedroom accommodation that I would gladly stay in again

Excellent vacation home

The pictures of the property donā€™t do this house justice. The property is amazing with an picturesque views. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure their guests enjoy their experience on the island. The pool is great and has lights if youā€™d like to enjoy a late night swim. Thereā€™s a golf range in the back a hammock and tons of beach toys etc. They even had a crib and pack and play for babies. Great stay overall I would def stay again.

Best hosts and stay

Tim and Sue were incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable, and sweet hosts. They gave great recommendations for local places to eat, best beaches to visit, and insider island knowledge we would not have known from the basic tourist sites. The house itself is gorgeous, spacious and has a wonderful wraparound porch. The community is very quiet and peaceful, and it felt nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Esperanza and Isabel II towns. They have mango trees and other beautiful flowers on their property, and you wake up to a bright and beautiful view of the Biolominiscent Bay. Sue and Tim, thanks so much for your hospitality!

Had a great time overall. Everything was as expected and we all enjoyed ourselves. The driving range was an added bonus. We inquired about HBO so we could watch Game of Thrones ( last season first episode) and it was available, seems like ordered just for us? Well stocked house with beach amenities. The only surprise was that the owners were on the top level of the house, we had assumed that we had the whole property to ourselves. Having said that, they were very helpful and tried to be as unobtrusive as possible. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Fantastic!

This house was just perfect and plenty of room for all six of us. We had everything we needed at the house except for groceries and the store wasn't very far away. The view was simply beautiful at the house. The pool was a welcome relief after a long, hot day. In the evening the Coqui frog is your musical entertainment. Very enjoyable. Thank you, Sue, for having a beautiful, welcoming home available for us to rent and for your quick responses to my emails. Also, thank you, David, for meeting us at the airport and taking the guys to pick up the jeeps. You were very helpful. And my daughter's wedding in Punta Martineau couldn't have been more beautiful. Once we found our way around, it was very easy for us to get to the beaches and we spent a lot of time there. A must for anyone who stays on this beautiful island is seeing the bio bay. Something you'll never see in the states. Also, if you enjoy horseback riding make reservations with the Esperanza Riding Company. They were great. We also found a farmer's market in the area with a really nice variety of fruits and vegetables. And lots of wild horses wherever you go.

LUNA AZUL = AMAZING!!!

We had a great time on Vieques, and this home was a key factor to that! Unquestionably nice and extremely comfortable, felt like it was ours! I cannot imagine any other option on the island to be any better than Luna Azul.

At home at Luna Azul!

Luna Azul did not feel like a rental property, it felt like home. As soon as you go through the gate what greets you is the most beautiful, calming and peaceful view of the ridge and the ocean. The breeze was non stop from the moment we got out of the car until we drove off on the last day. The home is super well-built, and in great condition. We've done many rentals in different cities but Luna Azul took the cake when it came to having everything you and your family can possibly need. The kitchen was a 10, from the set-up to every little imaginable utensil and tool. Our family enjoys exploring local places to eat everywhere we go, but Luna Azul made it impossible for us to even consider going out to dinner. We chose cooking in, the view, the breeze and the stars every single night. We were grilling while the kids swam, what could be more perfect than that? Luna Azul was also equipped with everything our family of 7 needed for the beach so don't even bother dragging more stuff in the ferry (each member of our family carried a backpack with clothes, we didn't bring anything else, not even food. Colmado Morales had everything we needed) In the morning, get ready for waking-up, opening those doors and walking into endless sounds of chirping birds, more breeze, horses and of course that cup of coffee overlooking the fruit trees, the huge mango tree and Mosquito Bay. Wow! Don't worry if you leave your book, Luna Azul has plenty of those too! Our family favorite was the Vieques book with all the information you can need about the island and its history. Make sure you rent a jeep, you'll thank the road gods once you go into that first pot hole on the way to the really secluded beaches. To summarize, this is the best rental property our family has ever stayed in, Vieques is a magical place for young and old. Thank you Sue for opening your family's home and doing it with such joy. David, thank you for everything and continue enjoying your piece of paradise!

Priceless in Paradise!!!!

This vacation rental, Luna Azul, has the most beautiful view on the island. The home is gorgeous and the wrap around veranda allows you to live outside and enjoy every minute in Paradise. We loved the location to the charming towns and the breath taking beaches. Some days we enjoyed time at the pool and other days we packed a picnic for the beach. The spacious open floor plan allows for entertaining and sharing dinners with family and friends. The wild horses and the fruit grove adds to the charm of this property. The space is amazing for the value of the rent that is charged. Better than any luxury hotel we have stayed in. We LOVED everything about this rental and the beautiful island of Vieques. The owners were fabulous to work with and so informative. We are going back this year!!!

The home is clean comfortable beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could want. The location is spectacular, overlooking the swimming pool and Puerto Mosquito Bioluminescent Bay. The wild horses in the backyard from time to time were a fun surprise. We would try and guess the number each night as we arrived back from dinner or the beach (anywhere from zero to eight). The owners and the manager were great and always responsive to answering our questions. We would definately stay here again.

We fell in love with our house on Vieques because of its gorgeous views and laid back lifestyle. Our biggest decision on any given day is whether to relax by the pool or pack a picnic and head to the beach.

Travel to and from the island by ferry or small plane is all part of your unique vacation experience.
Our isla nena offers spectacular water adventures that include snorkeling, private sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, deep sea fishing and amazing sunset sails. And do not miss the Bioluminescent Bay evening trips. Along with water sports, hiking and horseback riding are great ways to experience the island. And a must is the Bioluminescent Bay. For a little relaxation there are options for yoga and massages.
