Ocean front views in our Paki Maui vacation condo in Honokowai, one floor up from ground level. Our Paki Maui condo is remodeled with tile throughout and is tastefully furnished including new furniture package. Enjoy the Visitor's Channel on cable TV in the living room with BluRay DVD Player + Netflix, or peruse the library of books in the media cabinet. Flatscreen TV in the bedroom. The bathroom features a glass block walk-in shower (no tub). Our condo affords a private, quite tropical location on the south corner, ocean side of the building. Enjoy the amenities of the Honokowai Beach right next door to property. Enjoy the free Wi-Fi access offered by the property out by the pool and in the condo.

Nearby beaches to Paki Maui:
1. Kaanapali Beach – Black Rock Beach: One of the most well-known beaches in West Maui! Typically features calm conditions, excellent swimming and snorkeling, and a walking trail off beach.
2. Kahekili Beach Park (Airport Beach): Generally calm conditions, excellent snorkeling and swimming, public restrooms, BBQ grills and large grassy area.
3. Honokowai Beach Park: Great for snorkeling due to shallow and a reef protected beach. This beach has a playground area for kids with plenty of shade, tables and BBQ grills.

Great condo in west Maui

Location is great, just north of the more expensive resorts with several eateries & food trucks within walking distance or a short drive. Excellent snorkeling spots nearby. The condo was comfortable & clean. The A/C was nice, but not needed overnight with the breeze. The property is oceanfront with a retaining wall. The steps to the beach were fenced off, likely due to being worn & uneven. People would go around to get down to the beach or come through the beach park next door. The beach is best used during low tide as it dissappears as the tide rises. There's a break in the rocks to get to the calmer area between the 2 rows of rocks. The water was clear, about 4' near the back row of rocks. Overall we had an excellent time & would recommend Paki 109.

Nicely remodeled

Very nice property kept up, very clean. The condo was nicely remodeled. Reason for 4 stars was the stairs. We thought the condo was first floor meanining no stairs but you had togo down 5 stairs then back up 2 sets of stairs. Carry luggage up & down was alot.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room is very nicely decorated.The kithcen is well stocked. We were very comfortable there. We always stay at Paki Maui and this was the first time in this unit. The view is great. We saw many whales. The lawn at Paki Maui is wonderful. Lots of lounge chairs to watch the sunset from. The tv was hard to navigate for us but the management company helped us and we got it working.

Perfect View

We absolutely loved our stay. It had a great view of ocean and you could hear the wonderful waves crashing on the shore from the lanai. My toddler loved running around the complex and visiting the fish pond in the mornings. It’s close by to a lot of great things like a park, food trucks, grocery store and beaches. It’s not a long drive getting most places. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was no AC but with the breeze you didn’t need it at all. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hate to complain after a lovely trip but this place needs some attention. The view from the lanai was great.That said, the interior needs some attention.. bed frame needs repair. Makes noise everytime you move. Linens and pillows could be improved. Fan makes noise like heavy breathing.Bathroom okay.Living room okay (your cleaning service is not cleaning floors). Never figured out how to navigate t.v."Kitchen is a disaster. Equipment (pots, utensils, serving dishes) cupboards, stove inconvenient . Not enough lighting.It’s tough to spend $ to use chairs with holes in them and cushions made for something else overlooking such magnificent scenery..

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we've stayed at Paki Maui. We chose it because it is relatively small, quiet and affordable. Positives: Close to the beach and a local park; has a small pool and hot tub; relatively quiet, can walk to good meals, groceries.Needs Improvement: The unit needs a really good cleaning and maintenance- the bedroom floor had grime and dust, the sofa seriously needs a good steam clean. There are many small repairs that would improve a stay:-the ceiling fan in the master bedroom makes a horrid sound and we couldn't use it, also it is very low and risky for tall folks-the oscillating fan in that room smells like the motor may be burning out - burnt rubber smell-the basket in the dishwasher is busted so the silverware falls through-several electrical outlets were dead-toilet seat was super loose and needs to be tightened down-multiple bar stool upholstery is torn/poor conditionThese things weren't deal breakers but if I were the unit owner, I would want to know. The place feels uncared for and somewhat dated. While we may try Paki Maui again, we will look for a unit that is better cared for.

Great views and location.

My husband and I stayed from October 16-26, 2022. The condo was as advertised. The unit had plenty of hot water and was stocked well for a 10 day stay. The views are amazing with both ocean and foliage. We enjoyed the sounds of all the beautiful birds. We were disheartened to see that there was no access to the ocean as an earlier storm had compromised the integrity of the beach stairs. The public beach is right next to the condo building so it was a minor inconvenience to swim in the warm ocean. We have stayed at Paki Maui before and purposefully chose this condo building because of its direct access to the ocean. We wish that there had been a notice or communication to us that there would be no ocean access as we would have looked for an alternate condo to stay at. With that being said we enjoyed our stay at the condo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No a/c, we knew this coming in. We figured ehhh, we are on the ocean. It has a balcony we can leave the door open. No biggie. There was no cross breeze to reach the bedroom. We ended up sleeping on the hide away bed for the remainder of our stay. Eventually, we pulled out the portable a/c unit to evaporate some of the humidity in the air (which was a pain to set up and not to mention we had to go to hardware store to purchase an item to ensure the set up was proper, a couple of tracking pieces were broken). Other than warm nights, the unit was quiet, peaceful, mostly clean and cozy. A tad smaller than I had thought. The pictures are accurate though. Owner’s fridge went out prior to our stay. We were notified a mini fridge would be available for our use, we were good with that being just the two of us. Close to everywhere we needed to be for the wedding, and shopping. Would stay again if we go in a cooler season. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We loved sitting on the beach. For cleaning- Dusting lacked on ceiling fans and baseboards. Could use a sweeping under the couch as well.

Perfect! Oceanfront, just as described. We left the doors open for the waves all day and night. Well equipped kitchen - thank you. Excellent location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Am trying to set up another visit in the near future. [ I am a previous time share owner in Ka'anapali with many trips to this area].

Condo was not cleaned and ready to occupy

Reviewer Comments: Re:  Paki Maui #109 03/28/22-04/01/22 #07509My wife and I had a reservation for the Paki Maui #109 for 28 March and checking out on 1 April. We arrived just after 6:00pm to find the room a shambles. The room was not cleaned or habitable (please refer to the attached photos). We called Chase an’ Rainbows 5 time about the situation speaking to a less than helpful staff member who never called us back with an update on a remedy. A housekeeper finally came over two hours later. We had to find alternative accommodations for the night of 28 March. The only reasonable hotel was the Days Inn for $403 and a one hour drive away. The morning of 29 March, we again contacted Case ‘N Rainbows to follow up and make sure the room was ready. At that time we were told we would be refunded the missed night. We requested compensation for the incurred extra costs as well as having the first evening of our stay ruined. Neither has been fourth coming. Throughout our stay we had received no communication from you. We had to initiate all contacts. I am happy to say that when we returned on 29 March the housekeeper had done a great job. The condo was all we had hoped for. At this point we would appreciate the refund for the first night including taxes and fees. Additionally, compensation for lost time, frustration and added expense would be appropriate.

Climatic views, anticlimactic stay.

Hello! I rarely leave reviews but I felt like I needed to with this one for the good bad and ugly. I kept the points short/abrupt to try and keep this review tight and purposeful. CONS: 1) Bedroom fan nearly knocked my husband out multiple times — either align the bed directly under or I’d recommend a flush to ceiling fan for your guests who are taller. Bathroom mirror so low it’s made for the average height person… but if you’re over 5’10, go on a head over to the bedroom mirror because that’s the mirror you’ll have to use. 2) The hot water is horrible. I read to try not to go “full blast” and it’ll last longer… I tried that and it still was cool by 5min. We took multiple showers, tried multiple options, all ended with the same scenario. Super disappointing. 3) The bathroom showers stone also had a mild urine odor to it. Like it’s been used for years and the stone has soaked up that odor. Could likely use a massive deep clean/bleach or completely replace. I could see this smell appearing to be “nonexistent” to someone who lives here because they get used to it (ie nose blind), but as someone who’s first time is here… the faint stench of it is definitely there. 4) Bed is fair but the pillows are HORRIBLE. Seems like they’ve been used for a solid decade, flat as a pancake. 5) The large fridge works minimally (yes, we followed the instructions to not mess with the temp and give it a day to adjust), so their rec was to use the freezer, per the laminated paper. Or they had an additional fridge on the floor in their already tiny kitchen (which tiny is fine, but it’s even more cramped). PROS: 1) views views views. 2) incredible sounds of the waves on the beach 24/7. 3) easy check-in. 4) convenient parking. OVERALL: This is all honest feedback because I wish I knew all this up front before paying what I did. In our personal opinion (not factual!), the only way this condo is worth what we paid for is the view, ocean sounds, parking, and accessibility to the water. Everything else, “the renovations”, are minimally acceptable as a reno, and there are so many things needing to be tended to. We personally never contacted the company that runs this VRBO (Chase-n-Rainbows) because nothing we mentioned would’ve ever been able to be fixed during our brief four day stay, so we let it be. You’re absolutely paying for the view, everything else is anticlimactic. As long as you walk in with that mindset, you should be okay.

The view was Breathtaking!!

My husband and I loved the view of the Ocean from the patio and hearing the ocean while we slept!! There is also no AC, so we slept with 2 fans and all windows open which wasn’t bad. They also have pans/plates/cups etc for you to cook. We didn’t cook, but it was pretty cool to have that in case we did want to cook. Additionally they provided extra towels and blankets. Only down side is that its about 40 minutes away from the Airport. Overall, we would stay here again!
