West Maui is open and welcoming guests! Experience your own island Aloha on Maui! Our newly renovated condo is located right on the beach at the beautiful Hale Mahina Beach Resort - one of the most sought after beach resorts in West Maui. It is perfect for a get-away-from-it-all vacation or honeymoon.

The seasonal beach at Hale Mahina (“House of the Moon”) is less than 100 feet from the unit and is an ideal spot for watching sunsets, whales in season, or simply enjoying the beautiful Maui coast. Sea turtles (“Honu”) routinely hang out on this lovely secluded beach. Swim with the turtles, snorkel, surf, paddle board, boogie board or simply relax at our beachfront paradise. The entrance to the main grounds and beach is gated and requires a key, which makes it very exceptional and peaceful.

Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor where our unit is located. The open and breezy layout of our condo and tropical décor makes this unit perfect for experiencing the Aloha of paradise during your tropical vacation. The master boasts a comfortable King sized bed and direct access from bedroom to bathroom. A full updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, cable TV, free parking, and free WiFi are also provided.

From your private lanai (balcony) as well as your great room you have a fantastic beach and ocean view. Enjoy amazing sunsets and views of neighboring islands Molokai’i and Lanai’i. Watch the spectacular humpback whales during their migration between November and April.

The beautiful private grounds of the resort are filled with exotic plants, flowers and birds. You are directly in front of the beach where you can enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean views from the heated pool and hot tub. The grounds also have BBQ's and outside dining areas for those who want to enjoy their meals near the water’s edge.

The condo is about 35 miles from Kahului airport and about 2 miles from the small West Maui airport. Within minutes of our condo, you'll find the world class Kapalua and Ka’anapali Golf Courses, an assortment of shops and restaurants in West Maui and more warm water beaches such as Kapalua, Napili Bay, Black Rock, and D. T. Fleming. Tennis, surf board and snorkel rentals, dinner cruises, fishing, and tons of other activities are also available near by. Full service grocery stores are close as well as the Farmer's Market & Organic Health Food store, and fantastic coffee!
Please note that outdoor common area security cameras are in place for security purposes for our complex and its guests. This includes the parking lot, yard gate and pool/spa area. All cameras are clearly marked with signage.

Even better than we expected

We had an amazing stay! The entire experience was wonderful- the location, views, accommodations, cleanliness, amenities and communication with the owner exceeded our expectations! I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Place!

Beautiful ocean views! Shared the beach with a few turtles! Saw some whales playing in the ocean! Great market and coffee a walk away and amazing restaurants a short drive away! A perfect little spot to host your vacation.

Perfect condo with a beautiful view and furnishings. The community here is so nice and the grounds are beautifully cared for. Looking forward to coming back every year- we love whale watching from the balcony!

Perfect in every way

We absolutely loved this condo. It is decorated so beautifully - it makes you feel right at home. It's fully stocked with anything you might need. The owners had everything organized well and were very communicative throughout the process. The location is spectacular. You really can't beat this condo! We will definitely be back!

A relaxing stay and friendly community

We had a week stay here at Hale Mahina. The location was great for visiting lots of different beaches and snorkeling spots and getting a good coffee every morning. The complex had a private beach where we sat on the lawn and swam in the ocean, we also cooked on the grills a few nights as we watched the sunset. The kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook for ourselves. Although there wasn’t any air conditioning in the unit the many fans made it comfortable. Everyone in the complex was friendly and we made new friends. Overall the stay was excellent, all the chairs and decorations were so fun. We will be back soon for sure! Thanks to Keith and Judy for being responsive and for sharing their vacation home. Andrew Helene

10/10 experience!

My three friends and I went for new years and to have a tropical get away. I will definitely be back! This unit is great: spacious, amazing view, private beach, pool/grill, lawn, and sea turtles. It is in such a perfect location too. The property manager was onsite and very responsive. The owners of the unit are also very communicative. Note there is no AC (as many units do not have this in Maui), but they have plenty of fans provided to keep the air moving and cool. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful condo beautiful property!

Judith and Keith's condo was a perfect place for our family to relax and unwind. The condo was updated and very clean. The grounds were nicely upkept. You can tell Larry the resident manager takes pride in his property. Every morning he is outside prepping the pool/hot tub area. Our kids didn't even want to explore the island, they were just fine with staying at the property on it's own private beach (we did go out and explore a few days though The photos posted on vrbo are accurate and in person this place is even more breathtaking. We will definitely be back. Thank you Judith and Keith

A Little Slice of Paradise

The property is exactly as advertised. Welcoming is the first word that comes to mind when you walk into the tastefully decorated condo. Sitting on the Lanai each morning enjoying coffee and breakfast watching whales spout sets the relaxing tone for the day. We were treated with sunning sea turtles and even a monk seal on the small, but quaint private beach. The king bed was extremely comfortable. The only inconvenience, for a light sleeper, might be road noise at certain hours. The noise didn't bother me but my husband, who is a light sleeper, was sensitive. Nothing that ear plugs didn't cure, though. Our stay at Hale Mahina was simply amazing and the perfect choice for our stay on Maui.

Lack of repairs to unit

The top rack on the dishwasher came out and dishes hit my ankle …. black and blue…. I have pictures…. this was also a complaint in August 2022… addressed in their comment book…. never repaired!!!!! Also dishes had to be washed prior to use!!!

Good place to stay.

I've stayed at Hale Mahina a few times, though at different condos. This condo is a good choice. I thought since it was the second floor, more foliage would obstruct our view. However, we did not have that problem at all. The amenities are good as well. Perhaps a bit better maintained than some other condos I have been in. The best thing I found about the condo was that it had an ice maker. Small thing for sure, but this was the first one to have one that I have stayed in. It was also very clean overall. I particularly appreciated the hand rail and night light on the two hallway steps, especially for my elderly family member. The bed is also very large. The not so great thing is maybe the abundance of pillows. This is a very small criticism here... but they did get in the way. There is also not really any accessible storage space in the living area, so things will have to be kept in the bathroom or bedroom. The condo owner is very pleasant and responsive. So any issues you may run into should be addressed kindly to during your stay. TL;DR: Good condo, exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again if given the opportunity.

Maui Condo

My husband and I stayed in this condo for 10 days in early December 2015. There is SO much to love about this place! The unit is spacious, modern, comfortable, and well stocked. The views from the lanai and the living room/kitchen are beautiful. It's hard to peel yourself away from the lanai after morning coffee! The complex itself is well maintained, and the access to the beach is incredible. Our number one criteria that we were looking for was quick access to the beach. This unit is, quite literally, a flight of stairs and steps from the unit. It takes less than a minute to feel the sand under your feet. One of our favorites aspects of this amazing unit. We saw whales, turtles, crabs, and sunrises/sunsets that we will never forget. I love to run while I am in Hawaii, and this was the perfect distance (about a mile) to a trail that takes you right to a running/walking trail that fronts the ocean and other beachfront hotels. It lies within walking distance to coffee shops, a farmer's market, grocery, restaurants and bars. Also, just a very short drive to Lahaina:) The owners were extremely attentive, although we didn't need them for much! Whenever we had a brief question, they were very prompt to respond and very easy to communicate with. They also left great tips on dining and activities. The next time we visit Maui, we will be sure to see if their lovely condo is available. We can't wait to return!

Aloha!

This was our first time staying at Hale Mahina and we absolutely loved everything about it! As soon as you walk in the door of the condo it feels like you've been welcomed into a personal slice of Heaven - the decorating is unique and fun, such nice touches everywhere. Walk out onto the balcony and the view is spectacular! Lovely, well-kept grounds, turtles swimming and resting on the beach right out front, what a treat! The condo supplied everything we needed for a perfect stay, even beach chairs, towels and umbrella. Thank you to Judy and Keith for letting us enjoy your home!

Great view

Lanai and view are great! Inside the unit with No A/C during hot (85-90) temps is difficult, as very little cross ventilation (including no exhaust fan in bath, and the dryer exhaust vent goes INSIDE bathroom creating more hot humid air). Kitchen is missing some basics (cookie sheet -sharp knives). The bed is great and comfortable. The bedroom noise from the busy street is constant and loud, as opposed to the great waves sound on the lanai which is soothing and relaxing. Wi-Fi Router does not stream (reach) bedroom area. TV’s are older (not smart), but you don’t come here to watch TV! Old style coffee maker with Maui ground coffee is delicious! Close to LaHaina shopping,, beaches, great restaurants.

Wonderful week in paradise

Absolutely loved this condo, very comfortable, amazing view.. the pics don’t do it justice. Fully stocked kitchen, great communication with the host. Only bummer was inability to access the beach due to beach erosion due to no fault of anyone except Mother Nature. Would definitely stay again..

Perfect

This is the third time I have stayed at hale mahina and the third time that I have no complaints. Perfect area, the best beach and exactly where we wanted to spend all our time. Daily we swam with the turtles and daily they came up on the beach. Can't wait to come again

Complete Relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Listening to the ocean waves, watching turtles on the beach, swimming and snorkeling. The unit is comfortable and well laid out. Great breezes throughout the day and night made it very comfortable.

Hale Mahina is like a piece of heaven on earth! Our condo was had everything we needed.

Easy access. Comfortable bed and everything we needed during our stay for both in the condo and on the beach! Absolutely amazing views. Will definitely stay at Hale Mahina again if we come back to Maui! Mahalo.

Fantastic stay

DREAM vacation spot! Very clean and well stocked! And only a few short steps to our own private beach. Larry, the manager, was extremely personable and friendly! Stunning island escape

Unit was exactly as described. Private beach was stunning. Walking distance to local markets and restaurants. Bed was a bit hard but still very cozy. Trade winds kept the unit very comfortable. Property manager was on top of noise and created a really peaceful, relaxing environment. We will absolutely come again.

Maui Paradise

Such a lovely condo with cute decor and stocked with essentials. View from balcony was amazing and the pool/beach area was paradise. We loved watching the waves and sea turtles rest on the beach. Sunsets were magical. The condo provided a restful stay for my husband and I. If we ever come back to Hawaii, we would love to stay here again. Mahalo!!

We have traveled to Maui for quite a few years. We happened across Hale Mahina in 2006. Our family stayed in other locations, but none compared to Hale Mahina and we kept going back. We love the intimacy of this small resort and beautiful grounds. Our dream was to someday own our own place in Hale Mahina. Our dream did finally come true! It is so beautiful - an intimate setting with a secluded sandy beach, a beautiful pool, spa and grassy area with BBQs. Parking is convenient and free. The two island sunset view from the large private lanai is stunning and the whale watching November through April is beyond compare! Come see why we love this property and experience your own island Aloha!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The condo is located just north of the world renowned Kaanapali resort area. The entire area is an outdoor paradise with every imaginable activity available within minutes - zip lines, cruises, snorkeling, parasailing, fishing, golf, and more! Our secluded beach is home to our resident sea turtles who come up and bask in the afternoon sun! Wonderful ocean front pool and sauna in beautiful gardens. It is an easy walk to small restaurants, grocery, farmers market, coffee, and shops.
The beach is steps away from our condo. The views from the lanai and inside the unit are breathtaking – the beach, ocean, and two neighboring islands. Beautiful sunsets, quiet and relaxed.
