I booked the house for 13 days. I worked initially with the owner, Greg, nice guy. Until on the 4th day plumbing issues began with toilets. After 2 plumbers they could not be resolved and resulted in me having to leave the property mid stay. When the toilets clogged the Property Manager Dionne got involved. That's when things became really toxic. Dionne insinuated we were at fault, denied any compensation for the inconvenience, but offered to returm my money for the unused nights, as did the owner. We had to stay Sunday night because family were flying out on the red eye and I left Monday by noon, after leaving the house impeccable. I was charged for Sunday night AND after leaving Dionne decided she did not have to return my money and offered me a reduced amount as a "good faith" offer. She listed countless broken rules...all b.s., and threatened that she knew top executives at my place of employment! She said we had a 4th car blocking the driveway. It was instacart delivery. She said I was over occupancy, which NEVER happened. BTW the listing says 10, they allow 6 only. And you need to provide your own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Property Managers only provide 1 or 2 to kick you off. I'm an owner of a luxury property that I host myself. I would never treat a host this way. My cabin is full of whatever amenities are needed. I would have refunded unused nights and two nights at minimum for toilet clogs. VRBO guest service came through.
