***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

Beach Club

The beach club is a three story private, gated complex. The Beach Club is a U-shaped building that is located on the sand, no busy street or boardwalk separating you from the beach. It has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and barbecue facilities in the spacious garden atrium.

Unit #206 is a second floor unit that offers you a southwest view of the water, You'll relax to the soothing sound of the ocean waves. You'll have your own oceanview patio.

The area

Relax in a quaint beach town, stroll on the quiet beach. Walk on the old fishing pier, and bring your rod and bait! Excellent surfing! Watch or participate! A 10 minute drive affords you easy access to the famous Island of Coronado and its golf course. 25 minutes takes you to the world famous San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, San Diego Embarcadero, San Diego Convention Center, fabulous desert or mountain drives, Mexico, and all that the sophisticated city of San Diego has to offer!

The host was outstanding with fast responses to any questions and excellent arrival instructions. The condo was in an excellent location; close to awesome restaurants and right on the beach. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen had all the basics and the refrigerator was a must.

Nice time in San Diego.

The building is being renovated so not at its best, wish that was made clear. Property will probably be very nice when completed. The beach is not the best, there was a homeless person sleeping on the area right in front of the balcony with his garbage strewn about and the ocean was contaminated by the Tijuana river which detracted from the experience, the bathrooms need a renovation everywhere else was nice. Location was near Coronado so it worked out well for us since we were attending a wedding. I like the security of the garage and convenience of the car being covered. Overall our stay was ok. The host was responsive and got us an ironing board and iron very quickly. They apparently couldn’t do anything about the homeless tenant who was there the entire stay. There is also a child above the apartment that runs around all day, didn’t really bother us but vacationers should be aware of that. Great bars and cafe nearby!

Great getaway

Nice property, walkable area with beach shops, restaurants/bars, convenience stores in walking distance. View from the balcony is incredible! Pool not heated and hot tub not working. Great landing pad for San Diego sights but early checkout at 10am was a bummer and much earlier than nearby hotels.

The view is amazing. The building is safe and secure. 2 TV'S were not smart TV'S, and the other 2 TV'S The remotes did not work. Old and thin carpet, near the kitchen area staples are coming thru and will hurt your feet. No extra linens or towels, you would have to wash if you wanted clean sheets or towels. You have to drive 15min to Coronado for fine dining.

Condo was very nice and clean, property manager even met us check in early, super nice guy! Property had access to pool, grills, hot tub and the beach. Will be staying again!

The beach vacation is the best part!

The location is right on the beach. We loved hearing the ocean and feel the breeze. It was gorgeous. The place is a little dated but the beds were comfy and everything worked as described. The jacuzzi didn't work and I sent a request about it but never heard back. The place is within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. We would love to go back!

Great place bad timong

The property was beautiful and very clean. We love this unit. Only downside is the water quality was poor from Tijuana sewage and the water was not ok to swim in. Disappointing being so close to the beach but having to drive elsewhere to get in the water. Other than that this place was amazing.

Quiet Beach

Nice clean rooms and comfortable beds. The beach was very quiet which was nice. The reason for the low star rating on the location was because of the proximity to the Tijuana River that dumps sewage into the ocean so the bacteria levels were to high to swim in the water according to the state acceptable levels. The other reason for low stars was the experience we had after dark walking on the beach. Received unprintable profanities to go home from some person hanging out in the shadows.

The view of the ocean really is amazing. That being said, the whole beach was closed due to pollution. The whole reason I booked this place was so I can go to the beach that was right outside my door. Instead we had to drive 45 minutes away to a clean beach. The condo was spacious and pretty clean but needed a few repairs such as the blinds in each room. There was a safety issue with the windows. They open outward at the bottom of the window which is about 6 inches from the ground. There's no screen and we were on the second floor. Our toddler could have easily fallen out the window. We had to make sure they were closed and locked. Unfortunately one of the windows had a broken lock. So we couldn't let our toddler out of our sight which was stressful. The pool was too cold to swim in. The elevator kept breaking down. There was no parking for taller vehicles. I did like that they had carts for you to use to take luggage to your room from your car. TV's worked great. Beds were comfortable. I really like the oversized couch in the living room. Will I stay here again? Probably not.

Right on the beach, the pool is supposed to be quiet and you'd be fined if you were loud at the pool. A little dated on the amenities and was hard to find the correct parking spots because the paint was so faded.

Perfect location!!!

Perfect location!! Beautiful beach and pier views. Spent hours watching surfers and sunsets. Lots of restaurants, bars, breweries in walking distance. 18 min drive to Coronado, zoo and airport maybe 20 min. I was concerned that it is very close/adjacent to Tijuana, but was a very safe neighborhood. Very walkable My only criticism would be, there was no salt or pepper, no coffee filters, not a piece of paper. Most vrbo places we stay leave a few of these things that the prior visitor left for the next. A small thing. We sent someone for morning coffee at the nearby vendors daily. We made Christmas Eve dinner there, and there was ample cookware, which was great. Also 3 gas grills (in line) , were clean and worked great. Overall, a great find and I highly recommend!!!

We made the best of it!!

The property was in an excellent location! Didn't understand why there were limited supplies in the condo. Two rolls of tissue and one roll of Paper towels for four woman was not enough. At a minimum we atleast expected salt and pepper to be supplied.

Needs to be remodeled

Location was great but the whole condo unit needs remodeling. Broken blinds, chipping paint, dirty carpet. The entire outside of the building is so run down. Most of the balconies are trashy. One even had a toilet on it. We have stayed here several times but the quality is going way down. Will be looking for a new condo for our vacations. Really sad to see

Excellent Beach Front Location

Overall this was a great rental property with an excellent view of the beach. It was walking distance to the pier and many coffee shops and great restaurants. The condo was a perfect size for our friends (2 adults and 1 tween) and our family (2 adults 1 tween). Love the comfy couch and tv. The interior was clean but a bit dated else it would have been 5 starts.
