Beautiful property located in the best Condo in Ixtapa - Monarca. 9th FLOOR!!

The apartment is a loft with a King size bed and sofa. 1 good size bath with tub and shower. Fully equipped Kitchen.
Is in the 9th floor. Beautiful view to the Marina Golf course.

It can comfortably accommodate a couple with all the amenities: TV, Cable, Internet.
It also can host another adult or two kids in the brand new sofa/ bed
The kitchen is fully equipped to enjoy great meals and there is a built in dinning table.

If you want to hire cleaning service for your stay (as many days as you need), we can connect you with the condo administration and they will be happy to arrange service for you.
IXTAPA is a great location to spend your vacations in Mexico. Secure, family oriented and not to crowded.

The place is very nice. Its beachfront and have a lovely pool and beach furniture right there so you can enjoy the beautiful ocean.
We are in the 9th floor. The view is magnificent .

The condo has tenis courts in the premises.
There is bar and restaurant service (including pool towels) at very affordable prices. They will open an account for you that you need to pay before leaving.
The building is just across the street from the Marina golf club and half a mile away from the Marina shopping and restaurant area.

This Loft is definately your budget room. It wasn't shining clean-eg rust around the bathtub, AC wall and ceiling filters not reently cleaned, the window had never been opened due to dirt build-up. It is a very basic, low-end apartment. That said, Monarca is a very lovely resort-type condo. Lovely pools, right on the beach and the staff are VERY helpful and accomodating. We had Wi-Fi difficulty at the start and unable to to open the big window, but the reception staff were excellent in helping resolve those issues. Juan, the owner was helpful too but I doubt if he's been to this rental of his for awhile.The location of this rental faces a mountainous view which is pleasant and overlooks the golfcourse-not the ocean. It is very noisy at night with the local AI hotels music going late and the huge AC building across the parking lot is so noisy all the time, plus street traffic. Not relaxing to stay in the apartment, but the beach and pools are very nice to spend the day at. I would not return to this Loft but I would return to another condo rental in the Monarca.

1st stay at the Monarca

I've spent several years visiting the hotels on the south side of the beach in Ixtapa. This trip we stayed at the Monarca located on the north side of the beach. It was in every way a significant upgrade from our hotel experiences. Looking forward to staying again in future.

Nice stay in Ixtapa

This is a nice clean property. The condo is fairly basic and doesn't have a balcony. It also faces the back and there were times when noise/music from vehicles on the street and nearby clubs made sleep challenging into the early hours of the morning. Bring earplugs just in case, but this is true of most touristy vacation spots. The beach is nice, but not a swimmers beach. Too much wave action most of the time. Otherwise, no complaints and we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic property in a peaceful setting.

My fiance and I visited Ixtapa for the first time for 5 days before heading over to Zihuatanejo. Make sure you go to the taxi stand vs just getting a driver at the airport. Ask for a shuttle first. We actually shared a taxi with another person after paying for a shuttle. The property is secured. Verification in and out. Property location is 50 pesos to town or a 10 minute walk. Two buildings make up the property. Our building was for studio's and one bedrooms. The other for 2 and 3 bedrooms. There is a doorman 24 hours. We got to know Victor. Super nice guy and speaks great English. The property is so clean!!! The pool water is extremely clear, clean, and no chlorine. At most in the pool when we visited was four others besides ourselves. The staff reserve a sitting area when you check in at the restaurant. We chose the beach. Towels are taken to and from the room unless you want to pay about a dollar for a switch out. The restauraunt food is ok. It is located up near the beach! You just place the order on your room number and pay when you are ready to leave your visit. Sign the ticket. Everything there is done in cash. Use the ATM at the airport when you arrive or in town. Make sure you notify your bank or cc company before going. The room was fair. Not great. It was lacking a few things, but we made a few recommendations to Juan. Nothing major. Bed is on a concrete slab with two twin mattresses. It is not for everybody. A bit firm. Sheets could be upgraded. The view is NOT of the pool and ocean. It overlooks the tennis courts, with the golf course and mountains in the background. For the price, it worked for us. We loved the sunsets on the beach with a drink and relaxing on the sand. Priceless. We visited Ixapa Island twice to go snorkeling. 8 peso each to town by bus and then 12 pesos each to Playa Linda. The boat over and back is 50 pesos. US $2.50 each round trip. Snorkeling was great for us, but more experienced people thought not. We visited town for many meals at various places. Nothing stuck out more than others. The grocery store is ok to stock up for basic supplies. They take credit cards. Overall we will probably go back and upgrade to the beach view side and pay the difference. You might contact the hotel directly. There might not be that choice on this site. For the price it worked out great for us. Juan was easy to get hold of via the site.

We love Ixtapa and have been there about 12 times. The Monarca Principal was well kept, lots of staff. The unit we rented was in fair condition, but not very clean . The air conditioner couldnā€™t be adjusted , so it was very cold with it on. I didnā€™t realize that kitchen tea towels, a dish cloth , dish soap, toilet paper are not supplied with the 14 days we rented the unit . But we did get two old brown bath towels !!. I had to wash all the dishes , pots and pans , silverware etc. as they were placed back in the cupboards with food partials left on them. The microwave had gobs of rancid lard on the bottom of it and the smell was overwhelming, but it cleaned up very nicely as itā€™s quite new . The windows were dirty from the hurricane, we were very impressed because immediately after we mentioned it to the front desk a crew came up and washed them.

Great week in Ixtapa

We very much enjoyed our week in Ixtapa! Juan was very easy to deal with, responded to any inquiries very quickly. The Monarca pool, grounds and restaurant were very clean and well kept - food was good and reasonably priced. We have nothing but good things to say about the Monarca staff; they are all friendly and attentive. The location was good, far enough away from the center of town that it was quiet, but close enough to walk to shops & restaurants. My only concern was with the cleanliness of the apartment itself, particularly the bathroom. It needed a deep clean and some fresh paint.

Juan, your lovely studio suite in The Monarca was perfection! Lovely, clean modern room. Very comfortable for 3 people. The Monarca grounds, pool, beach, and restaurant were so immaculate and beautiful. The staff were all so friendly, helpful and professional. Especially at the front desk. They all work so hard. A 5 star experience all around!!! Thank you, Juan, for your help and kindness with our booking- Cant wait to come again!! Ixtapa is our heaven on earth...

Thank you Juan for allowing us to move from the small studio to the 3 bedroom with the Spectacular view. I suppose there are upgrades that could be made but the only thing that mattered was having a coffee and glass of wine on the deck!

Very cute apartment.

This apartment had everything we needed. The bed is very firm but that was ok for me. The grounds are stunning and the pool is amazing. Itā€™s a short walk to the main area for the nightlife. The view of the mountains from the room in the morning is lovely.

What a beautiful property. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. New frig and convection microwave in the unit. The bed was firm but we slept well on it. If the place had a new shower door and an apartment sized wash dryer combo I would give this place a 5 star rating all day. One draw back was the noise coming for a bar down the street it was quite loud in our room Fri-Sat- and Sunday nights.for 11 until 3 or 4 in the morning. My wife and I are good sleepers so it didnt affect us much but it might be a problem for a light sleeper.

Absolutely love The Monarca. Juanā€™s studio was exactly as represented and worked for the two of us. The view of the golf course and the mountains is spectacular. If you look off to the side you can check a part of the beach view. Watched the beautiful sunrise every morning. No need to close curtains that high up. Love to have my coffee in the morning so we bought what we needed from the market and enjoyed the mornings in. Always lots to do in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Walking the beach is a favourite. But also so many activities available. Thank you Juan for helping make these wonderful memories . Hope to be back next year. One side note, a hair dryer would make a good addition to the condo!

Amazing pool area, great and helpful staff, very good location

We had a very good experience renting Juanā€™s apartment in Ixtapa. The studio is exactly as in the pictures, a little dated but clean and has everything you need. We had some issues with the AC and the internet, but Juan was super responsive and we got help from the staff at the Monarca within minutes. Pros: the pool area is fantastic. We reserved pool chairs for the whole week, so no need to come early in the morning to get a particular spot. The pool restaurant is nice, they have a bit of everything and is reasonably priced. We rented pool towels for 25 pesos/piece during the stay. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. Security is always around but never intrusive. The apartment is adequately equipped for vacation, the microwave and refrigerator seemed brand new. Cons: There was loud music every night from a club downtown. The music is heard all over Ixtapa so itā€™s not unique for the Monarca.

The building and location were great. The unit was in poor condition. There was rust on the inside of the microwave and the outside of the refrigerator. The shower doors did not slide. the bathroom floor drain clover was not secured. The photo I thought was showing a washer dryer combination machine was just a dryer. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I expected to have a blow dry available and there was not. It was a disappointing.

The Monarca is fantastic; the grounds are beautiful and the staff are lovely.

This studio is well provisioned and an affordable way to experience all that La Monarca has to offer. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room - mostly by the beautiful pool, the town or trips into Zihua. However it was a nice refuge on a hot day. The air conditioning was a bit noisy and there was some minor rust on appliances but they all worked fine. Thank you for a lovely week!
