We had a wonderful time at this location! Can't say enough good about it! Wonderfully located, clean, well appointed, very responsive managers! Can't think of any downsides. Quick walk to the beach on the ocean side, and quick walk to Newport Coffee Co! You do have to climb a flight of stairs, but that just enhances the views of Newport Beach and all the boats! We went in November at Thanksgiving, and the room furthest from the living room didn't get much heat from the furnace, but they have a space heater that worked great! Thank you host!

Wonderful family vacation

We loved our week at this bayfront property. The house was very well kept, with a fully stocked kitchen. The proximity to the bay could not have been better. We did hear some construction from the hotel behind the property but nothing that disrupted our day-to-day. I would recommend they add a screen to the slider door to prevent the bugs from coming into the kitchen, but otherwise, the home was perfect - we look forward to returning next year!

Can't Beat the Location

This was a very nice rental home in a beautiful part of the Balboa peninsula. Our bayside second floor views were spectacular and we loved watching the boats pass by and the families enjoying the beach. The location couldn't be more perfect, close to the Newport Pier and all is has to offer. The home was very nice with most everything we needed. We were disappointed with the quality of the wifi in the home; many times we were kicked off and the signal strength was low to moderate. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous location, view and surrounding things to do within walking distance. Wonderful to be looking directly over the harbor while the ocean was just a block or two away. The house was recently renovated & had extremely comfortable beds & couches, with a lot of space to move around in. The only slight downside if I had to name something would be that I would have hoped for a more thorough deep clean (bathroom drawers/cupboards were not ‘ready’ to put personal articles in them without a Clorox wipe down. Staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive/helpful.

4 Night Stay

Two issues that were brought to the attention of the management upon check-in went unheeded. Garage door code was never fixed and management did not respond to the failure of disclosing the major construction directly across from the property. Further, beach towels, chairs, etc. are not provided through this management company which others we have previously rented with do include such items. Kitchen supplies were not very complete either. Decent location and unit was relatively clean just a bit rough around the edges. Would not rent again for the price and especially if the construction which starts at 7am. was made known beforehand which it should have.

Thank you for your feedback, Larry, as we always are wanting to make our guest's experiences better. The garage door does not require a door code as the garage has a clicker, which was provided in your home... We do apologize for the construction behind the home in the alley, we understand how that can be disruptive. We are so sorry this was not fully disclosed prior to your stay as Newport Beach does not alert us when construction is going on. Beach supplies are only in our homes if the owner themselves provide them or if previous guests left any behind. This is disclosed prior to arrival, and we offer a rental service for any beach gear needed. We would’ve loved to be of more assistance during your stay if we were made aware of these issues during your stay. We hope that despite these small inconveniences, that you still enjoyed your stay and we would be grateful to host you again for an even better stay.

This house has an amazing view of the marina, which also has a nice swimming area. The location is fantastic. Next door is a playground and the Marina Park Community Center where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks to use on the marina. The Lighthouse Café is also right there, where we enjoyed lunch (and the view). Before arriving, we didn’t realize how close the marina is to the beach. Across the street is super easy beach access at lifeguard tower 18 - Newport Beach Pier is just two lifeguard towers down. Restaurants were easily walkable. With the exception of one evening, we walked to dinner. One evening we ate at Balboa Pier, which is only an eight minute drive. Also at Balboa Pier is a whale and dolphin boat tour at Davey’s Locker (Groupon) - we didn’t see whales, but we saw seals and tons of dolphins. It was well worth it. They also offer deep sea fishing. Huntington Beach Pier is only a 15 min drive. Twice we went very early morning to watch the surfers which was lots of fun; breakfast and stores open early. The only things I’d change would be the availability of beach towels and chairs since this is a beach vacation. They do offer them to rent at an extremely reasonable price, but this is something I’d like to have included. The water pressure in the main bedroom was extremely low, however we didn’t mention this while there so doing so now. Overall, we would absolutely rent this house again. You can’t beat the location and view. We had a wonderful time.

We’re sorry to see the 2-star rating. After reviewing the communication from your stay, we understand the primary concerns were the area power outage and the temperature inside the home. Unfortunately, the power outage was outside of our control, and this home is clearly listed as not having air conditioning, with our rental agreement also noting that A/C is not guaranteed. We understand the heat can still be uncomfortable and are sorry it impacted your experience.
