We booked this condo because we wanted to avoid the 100 degree heat wave, and this unit is pet friendly so we could bring our dog along to cool off in the mountains. Unfortunately, the condo was very warm upon arriving. I opened all the windows and assumed it would cool down overnight since it was going down to 45F. But it stayed very warm all night- thermostat never read below 80, even though both showed the heat was “off” the living room thermostat indicated a low battery. The next morning we told the management office it was too warm and there must be an issue, I felt heat coming out of the floor board heater in the living room despite both thermostats turned “off”. She said she would send maintenance. We spent a wonderful day enjoying the cool copper mountain weather and activities, but when we returned to the condo in the evening it was still 80 degrees with heat coming out of the floor board! It was just to uncomfortable to sleep in the bedroom without the window (it was 82 degrees!) so my son slept on the couch and my husband and I on the bed in the spare room with the fan blowing on us. We were trying to get away from the heat and ended up on a condo with a broken heater that would not turn off. I’m not sure if maintenance came by, but they definitely didn’t fix the issue. We left at 6am the next morning. If it weren’t for the heater issue this condo would have been 5 stars because it was a nice condo in a great location.
