  • A perfect place for a family vacation

We just finished a fantastic week at this property with our children & 4 young grandchildren. Everyone agreed this spot was perfect, starting with the pristine beachfront location but also because of the amount of space available to spread out in this home. We had 7 adults and 4 toddlers, plus a few overnight visits from extended family members and had more room than we could possibly use. We spent most of our time upstairs, using the downstairs level just for the bedrooms and bathrooms. The two master bedrooms are massive and the other 4 bedrooms are "just" large. None of the bedrooms was small. All of the beds were comfortable. We left a baby gate behind that fits both the stairway opening at the upper level and also the stairway on the main (upper) deck area. A few in our group did some fishing from the beach and caught pompano and whitings, and even a small (18 inch) bonnethead shark. We saw manta rays jumping out of the water and, on our last day, groups of dolphins. From the deck and beach, we watched a Cape Canaveral Delta IV rocket launch one night. Incredible to witness, especially at night. But throughout the entire week it was the views from the upper level living area and deck that never stopped being breathtaking for all of us. What a treat! Before and during our stay, Daniel and Zak were extremely responsive to our questions. Zak even called us one night just to let us know about the rocket launch so that we wouldn't miss it.

  • Perfectly fine, but needed some things for me

On the plus side, the space is beautifully decorated, clean, and much larger than the pictures. On the down side, there are no hair dryers or extra linens like blankets. I got sick while I was there and would have liked to wrap up in an extra blanket. If I had kids along, we would have wanted those. Great place for a week with kids if you brought those kinds of extras. The beds seem quite old as you can see the concave dip when you walk in the room. They are squeaky when you get in or move around. Had a couple of problems with missing washcloths and pool, but owner was responsive and had more delivered. We had a few difficulties with the pool and could not get it up to temperature except once, so that was frustrating. Make sure to bring all toiletries because they don’t provide initial “starter” items like a small soap in the shower. The $200 cleaning fee seemed excessive since we were responsible for stripping all linens, putting out garbage and recycling cans, etc. Not sure what was left for the cleaning people to do besides laundry and basic vacuuming. Overall, it was a decent deal for the money. Would be a good place with kids, but didn’t have the luxury I was looking for for our purpose on this trip.
