The house is very nice, spacious and really has a modern touch with a carribian twist with an excellent kitchen which made it nice and easy to cook almost all of our meals in the house. At night we listened to all tropical sounds of birds and frogs(?). We were two families with grown up children staying in the house and we really enjoyed our time there. We alternated between swimming in the lovely pool in the garden or walking the short walk down to the stunning beach to enjoy snorkeling, skim boarding and swimming there. Guadeloupe is a very nice and flowerful island and we also recommend everyone visiting to explore the full island, there are so many things to see and do. We did wave surfing, swimming in water falls, hiking up La Sufrière, visited Les Saints and many more things, we had a great time! The only setback we had was that one evening when all of us were gathered upstairs having dinner together, we obviously at the same time had an uninvited visitor in the downstair unlocked apartment and got some things and money stolen… Therefore we advise everyone to always keep all unattended doors and windows locked at the property. Overall an excellent experience with the owner and concierge. We really recommend you to stay at Villa Karumaya!

I spent two weeks with my family of six people at this house. It was perfect for us since it had three bedrooms with three bathrooms and a lovely view. The pool was at a convenient distance, just outside the bedrooms. The garden offered serveral places to sit and eat, sunbath or relax in the hammock. A two minute walk led to the beach (mostly rocks) that was a popular hold out for surfers. A five minute walk from that beach there was a beautiful, long beach of white sand, perfect for the daily walk. The closest stores were located just a five to ten minute drive from the house, close to the golf course. You do need to have a car if you’re staying here. The reason it doesn’t get the full five stars is because the fridge and the dishwasher broke during our stay. Luckily the landlord Alain was very anxious to make sure we had a pleasant stay, so he did his best to fix it as soon as possible. Alain also came by to clean the pool and was very fast to reply when we had any questions. Overall we’re very pleased with our stay at this villa and can very much recommend it. Christin from Sweden
