Crab A Cold One är ett modernt hem i Kalifornien, som ligger på en privat 100 'x 200' fastighet i lugna Whalehead Beach. Hemmet ligger i den skuggiga, naturliga miljön i den maritima skogen och är omgiven av tallar på tre sidor, men ändå bara en kort (ca 1000 ') promenad till stranden. Crab A Cold One är en plats där du kan ta en kall drink och koppla av i total integritet med din egen i marken pool och badtunna. Basket, hästsko och majshål spel är också utanför. På insidan är bottenvåningen uppdelad i två sidor och har ett spelrum med biljardbord, fotbollsbord och ping pong-topp på ena sidan, och ett umgåsrum med platt-TV och en bäddsoffa på andra sidan. Sovrummen ligger på nästa nivå och har en mästare med en kung, ett annat sovrum i full storlek med en kung och två mindre sovrum med två tvillingar i ena och en våningssäng på den andra. Nästa nivå inkluderar vardagsrum och kök. Köket är fullt utrustat med ytterligare föremål som en grillpanna, lerkruka, glassmaskin och Keurig och vanliga kaffebryggare. Den översta nivån är ett loft rum med platt-TV, sittplatser och en bäddsoffa.
Hemmet är strategiskt beläget nära den historiska Currituck Club och Currituck-fyren, gamla Corolla Village, naturspåren i norra Corolla och Carovas fyrhjulsdrivna område (Wild Horses). Vi är också några minuter från butikerna och restaurangerna i Tim Buck II, Monteray Plaza och Corolla Light.

We loved OBX

John and Mary were wonderful to rent from. Their communication about everything we needed to know about the property was top notch. The rental itself was the perfect location. The kitchen had everything we needed. I was glad I read previous renters reviews so we knew to bring kitchen, bath and pool/beach towels. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Family Vacation

Loved this house. Everything exactly as stated. Would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Very clean and clear water. Our 4 and 2.5 year olds loved the bunk bed room! Close walk to beach. 2 wagons, several beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Don’t forget to pack towels. Food Lion very close and prices are great! Kitchen had everything!

Great place to stay

Really well stocked rental. Had like 6 beach chairs, beach wagon, sand bucket/shovel, 2 stock pots to boil crab, kitchen towels, dish soap, keurig coffee pods, Tupperware, some hand soap. Don’t forget to bring bath towels and beach towels. It was an easy flat walk to the beach just a couple of blocks away, most of which is on a path and not a road. Wagon can easily make it all the way to the dune steps and many people leave their wagons parked there. Lots to do in the house. Pool table, Board games, foosball Would definitely stay again.

Great Location

This is house is near everything. Plenty of things to do and see. Close walk to the beach. The house was clean, everything worked. The owners communicated and had everything ready for us. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic home!

We loved this house! Pictures don't do it justice. It smelled so clean when we first walked in and everything was spotless! Great cleaning crew! Has everything, a pool and hot tub with privacy, outdoor shower, foosball table and pool table, beach chairs and a wagon to take the chairs and other miscellaneous items to the beach. We were all happy here. Watched movies in the room on the top level. Make sure to bring your own bath towels, and some paper towels, toilet paper and soap for the bathrooms. Kitchen is fully supplied with everything we needed for the week. I would say it's a 6-7 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute bike ride. We rented bikes nearby. We loved the house and would definitely stay here again! 5 stars from us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect escape

This place is close to it all, while at the same time being tucked away enough that you can enjoy privacy and quiet. Clean throughout and well stocked for family entertainment, this place had everything we needed and then some. Crystal clear refreshing pool, same with the hot tub. Billiards, cornhole, horseshoes - you name it. A quick walk or drive to the beach. Excellent for a low key laid back family vacation, it's location is very close by to Currituck Lighthouse, Corolla Adventure Park, 4WD beach access, the sound for viewing sunsets. Recommend giving FirehouseBoil.com a shot for a family clam bake. If it's relaxation you're looking for in the Duck/Corolla area this place is sure not to disappoint.

Perfect location!

Corolla is a great spot to vacation to in OBX. This house specifically was in a great location for multiple reasons. Close to food stores, coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream, shopping, etc. The walk to the beach was very easy and took about 5 minutes… closest beach access was Sturgeon. Utility cart made it even easier to get our chairs and bags transported too. Pool and hot tub were great amenities to have right at the house after beach days. The kitchen was fully stocked with cups, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, pots/pans, and utensils. If you plan to store any food in fridge bring your own Tupperware because that was the only thing not provided. Everyone was very comfortable. Make sure to remember your beach towels & bath towels. Sheets are provided and put out by front door for you to make the beds with. Owner was very nice and extremely responsive.

A fantastic home!

We can't say enough about how wonderful this home was. After an exhausting search, this was the most affordable, pet friendly home we could find in OBX. It was SPOTLESS upon arrival and had everything we needed for a great vacation with a family of 10. The pool was a great addition after long sandy days on the beach. The kitchen was more well-stocked than my own kitchen at home! Absolutely everything you'd need to cook for a week, even baking dishes, seafood tools, bar tools, etc. The location was quiet and secluded with less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. There's even a parking lot at the beach entrance for the days that we loaded up wagons and tents and didn't feel like carrying them. We watched 4th of July fireworks from the top balcony. I would 100% recommend this home for family rentals. The owners were kind and easy to deal with. I'd stay here again any time!

The House Has Everything!

Crab a Cold One was a perfect house for our family…including our dog! You would never know it was a pet friendly house because it is so clean. This house has everything you could imagine for a fun vacation. We all enjoyed taking a dip in the pool and hot tub after a day at the beach, the kids loved the game room with the pool table and fooseball table and the parents loved the stocked kitchen and state of the art appliances. The owners were so easy to talk to and so reliable. They made our VRBO experience easy and and it felt like we were friends with them even though we never met them in person. Thank you John and Mary!

Great family time at Crab A Cold One!!

We had a great experience at Crab A Cold One. The house was great! Our family loved the pool, the pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table and the way the house was laid out. The hot tub was also soothing as well. Not too long of a walk to the beach and it’s nice that the property is surrounded by trees, so it’s very private. It was a wonderful experience. The owners are great to work with. Thank you John And Mary for a wonderful time. We look forward to going again next year. OBX - making memories!

My family and I highly recommend this home for your beach vacation. First off, John and Mary communicated everything thoroughly before we arrived and answered all of our questions. The house was very clean and well kept. The outside of the house was also very clean. It’s only a short walk from the beach too! My kids and I used the pool everyday. One thing I noticed at this house vs. other houses we used in the past was how well stocked the kitchen was for cooking meals. Clean and new dishes, cookware and appliances. The neighborhood is quiet in the evening and I really love this neighborhood in Corolla. Thank you for having us! We had an amazing time vacationing in your home.

Great location, Comfortable stay.

We enjoyed staying in Corolla — there were many things to do. Beaches were beautiful and home had very easy access to beach whether walking, biking, or driving. We liked the neighborhood very much! House had everything needed for a comfortable stay. While we liked the different levels of the house they may be a problem if one had difficulty with stairs. Pool was great!

Amazing Spacious Home!

Highly recommend this vacation rental! Owners are very responsive and kind. We came as a group of 7 (adults and teens) and there was plenty of room for all. The pool and hot tub were fantastic! There are no pool tubes (we left two pool noodles) so bring one or two if needed/desired. After beach, and on days the beach was too much work, the pool and hot tub were a fabulous alternative! Plenty of lounge chairs and bistro table/chairs (with umbrella). Child safe closure on gated pool area. Bed sheets will be outside the front door in black tub upon arrival (provided by owner). You will need to make your own beds- comforters and pillows provided inside. Towels and washcloths ARE NOT PROVIDED. You must pack your own or rent from the linen company. I missed that detail and we rented from linen rental (Moneysworth rental)- we called them at 5pm and by 5:30 our towels were delivered, $7 per set (one bath towel, one washcloth, one hand towel). Worked out perfectly! The beds are very firm, bedrooms are very very clean. Both king rooms have oscillating fans provided. We found that the ac works so well in basement and upstairs, but felt just a little warmer on middle level where bedrooms are. The fans placed near doorway pulled some cooler air in two king rooms. We also found that by turning up the ac in basement and upstairs (to 73), keep the basement door shut by laundry area, and close vent by stairs upon entry (Front door area) it really helped cool off bedrooms. Can't explain why all of that helped as they are on different systems, but it really made a difference! Decking in back of house goes from ground level to very top loft area- so nice! Grill in perfect working order. Kitchen fully stocked, even with multiple colanders and crock pot. Bring toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, hand soaps, dish detergent, and trash bags. These are typical things to bring from home when renting from VRBO, just pointing out so you don't forget anything :) Placement of bathrooms was perfect- one full in basement level (game room), full on bedroom floor, full bathroom in second king room, and 1/2 bath off of kitchen. Also, outdoor shower and two hoses for rinsing off. Rent bikes to get to beach (Ocean Atlantic rentals- they deliver for free) To beach: Outside, make right and go to 1st pedestrian crossing. Make a left- this walkway takes u to beach- 5 min walk- 2min bike ride. Get a lock for bikes and lock by stairs over dune. Loved this house so much!

Great Location

Loved the location, the owner was super responsive and kind. Kids loved the pool, grown ups enjoyed the hot tub! Plenty of room for two families with 6 kids between them!
