A wonderful property, in a nice region. The house was equipped with everything we neede for our stay. Two nice dogs that welcomed us each time we came back after an outing. It was a pity we only had two days to enjoy it,The perfect place for our family reunion.

Thank you Amanda and Dave! We loved our time at the house! It was a perfect way to relax and recharge being surrounded by the trees. We were able to swim and hike at Matheson Lake and explore the Juan de Fuca beaches. It is also super close to the galloping goose trail for amazing bike rides for the family. We loved every detail in the home, it has a fully stocked kitchen for making meals at home. We highly recommend it.

East coast visitors

We had an incredible time staying at the guest house - it was the perfect place to land after a long day of travelling from P.E.I.It was clean, homey and felt like our own private getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Family Holiday

Beautiful and secluded area, so lovely. Didn't have enough time to take everything in. Thank you Amanda & Dave for having such a great place, we enjoyed it very much. Nikolai (5 yr old) was very sad to be leaving. So very enjoyable, thank you!

Lake Matheson Mystic

Our family of 4 adults and our dog enjoyed a wonderful stay with Ananda & Dave. They were terrific hosts, very accommodating. Their 2 bedroom property is well layed out and very well stocked with the essentials. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We used the hot tub, hiked around the lake and cooked some terrific meals. I would recommend this very unique property to anyone. Thank you Amanda and Dave.

Peaceful and quiet!

We really enjoyed our stay at the guest house! It was quiet and peaceful and I loved listening to the frogs and birds outside. The hot tub was great and we used it every day. It was a quick drive into Metchosin which was lovely and everyone was so friendly! The space was large and welcoming, and the big couch in the living room was great! The beds were uncomfortable, though, and there were windows between the bedrooms and the living room, which let in light even when the bedroom lights were off. Most of the space was clean but the coffee machine had old grounds and water in it and the bedroom fan was very dusty. Some of the dishes and utensils were also dirty and we had to wash them before use. Overall though it was a lovely place to stay and the hosts were very communicative and kind!

Awesome place to stay

We loved staying at this VRBO. It's located in a beautiful location. Beautiful place exactly as listed. Clean, quiet and a fully equipped kitchen. Owners were prompt and check in was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

Mountain Escape

Beautiful and tranquil spot tucked away in the most beautiful parts of Metchosin. We had a wonderful time relaxing, reconnecting, and celebrating a milestone birthday. The home is fully stocked for preparing meals, playing games, and spacious enough for six adults

College friends get away

Three college friends from the 70s got away to Vancouver island and REALLY enjoyed our stay. The lovely home, built built by the family who were so friendly, was nestled in a beautiful woody area. It had an awesome hot tub, super comfy beds, nice living area to visit and have our appetizers. It was especially wonderful to be away from the hustle and bustle of city-life and enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest. Seeing the fog roll across the mountains in the morning was delightful.
