We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The rooms and bathroom were clean. The kitchen was well appointed and very close to hiking around the lake. Amanda was sweet and introduced herself when we arrived. I do wish there was a dryer to dry wet bathing suites before traveling but other than that it was amazing!

Great location and beautiful property. The place was really clean and the hosts were very friendly. It was close to the lake and very peaceful with a nice hot tub and beautiful deck.

Amanda and Dave were great hosts and this guest space was very comfortable and welcoming. Clear communication throughout and we had a very happy stay in the very well-equipped suite. We cooked a full thanksgiving dinner with no trouble because the kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed our time in the hot tub and living space. We took some little excursions to nearby beaches and cafes and it was lovely to have so many options so close. I agree with those who have mentioned the beds are very soft - we loved this but it may not be for everyone, so worth knowing about. The setting is beautiful, and overall thanks so much for a lovely stay.

Gracious hosts and stunning property! Exceptionally located to beaches and a short drive several child-friendly areas like playgrounds, attractions and parks. I’d highly recommend this. Really nice set up with indoor and outdoor space. Would stay here again.

We were given a very warm welcome by Dave and Amanda when we arrived. The guest house was a lovely spacious place to stay. Set in a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of larger towns and a short drive away from Metchison Village. Victoria is a short half hour drive from the guest house. It was a lovely way to relax for the last few days of our wonderful self drive tour of Vancouver, The Rockies and Vancouver Island.

What a fantastic place to use as a base to explore the Sooke area! Dave and Amanda are amazing hosts, and their property alone would make a great destination. The rental is neat as a pin, the wifi is fast. Check in and check out were super easy. Absolutely nothing to complain about, nor suggestions for improvement.

All the amenities were as listed. The house was bright and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again, very close to lots of trails and sight seeing.

East coast visitors

We had an incredible time staying at the guest house - it was the perfect place to land after a long day of travelling from P.E.I.It was clean, homey and felt like our own private getaway. We would definitely stay here again!
