East Bothy är en vacker 19th century semi-detached stuga som sover fyra. Nya dubbelglaserade fönster hela. Det finns ett stort bekvämt vardagsrum med vedeldad spis i ena änden och en matplats och nyinstallerat kök på den andra. Badrummet har dusch och toalett, det är nere. Det finns ett dubbelrum och ett tvåbäddsrum på övervåningen.
Köket har en elspis, mikrovågsugn, kylskåp, frys, nedsänkningsvärmare, elvärmare i alla rum, rakapparat och uppvärmd skena på badrummet.
Det finns ingen TV-mottagning men det finns en TV / DVD-spelare. Gratis Wifi nu tillgänglig.
Tariffen inkluderar användning av stugan och allt innehåll. Dukar och sängkläder tillhandahålls, inklusive handdukar. Trä ingår för elden,
En självbetjäning tvättbänk finns på Attadale House

En mil från entré till gården ligger stugorna bland kullarna och fälten och på kvällarna kommer rådjur ofta i trädgården att beta. En liten bäck går genom trädgården och du kan titta på korna och fåren runt. Attadale Estate erbjuder strålande promenader (inklusive två Munros), Loch och flodfiske. Upp i bergen kan du gå hela dagen utan att se någon. Om du gillar mountainbike har du många möjligheter här. Du är nära havet. Det går inte att passera trafik eftersom stugorna ligger i slutet av asfaltvägen. Möblerad med en eklektisk mix av antika och moderna möbler med attraktiva tryck och målningar i alla rum, erbjuder stugorna ett avkopplande och vackert hem. Ny 26 "widescreen DVD-spelare i varje hus. Tillbringa dagen curled upp med en bok eller utforska långt och brett och sedan tillbaka till ditt bekväma hem och varma vedeldad spis på kvällen. Hill walking, loch & havsfiske, mountainbike: En karta finns i varje hus med ett urval av promenader markerade på den. Vandringarna varierar i längd från ett par timmar till hela dagen. Klättring av Munros rekommenderas endast för personer som är lämpliga och vana vid backning. Attadale gården är idealiskt beläget för promenader entusiaster.

Det finns fiske tillgängligt i backen lochs om du är angelägen om att gå. Floden Carron är tillgänglig för att fiska till priset på en dagbiljett som är tillgänglig lokalt.

Det är bra land för mountainbike entusiaster. Lochcarron Garage hyr cyklar om du inte tar med dig själv.

Byarna Lochcarron och Strathcarron ligger bara några minuters bilresa bort där alla möjliga faciliteter finns tillgängliga: en utmärkt byaffär, bensinstationer, garage, restaurang och kaféer. Dessutom bara fem minuter bort hittar du en prisbelönt presentaffär, Carron Pottery samt Carron Restaurant så att du inte behöver gå långt. Våra egna Attadale Gardens är gratis för dig som besökare när som helst, så du kan utforska när du känner dig som den. 20 hektar vackert utlagda vatten trädgårdar, med skulptur utspridda överallt. Njut av köksträdgården, fernträdgården, den japanska trädgården.

Attadale station ligger på Inverness-Kyle-linjen vilket innebär att du har enkel åtkomst både öst och väst

Excellent cottage in a wonderful place

Very good cottage in superb setting. Location convenient to use as starting point for excursions to Skye and the Northwest. We liked the cosiness of the cottage, the animals that welcomed us when we came home.

Wonderful Attadale

Our third visit in six years, all Autumnal visits, we have had three great holidays, visisting Lochash, Plockton, Skye and Applecross during the day and enjoying the comfortable cottage with it's wood fires in the evenings. Would greatly recommend.

Erster Urlaub in Schottland

Sehr schönes Cottage in traumhafter Umgebung. Ideal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Unsere Gastgeberin stand immer für Fragen zur Verfügung und gab uns hilfreiche Tipps und Infos. Etwas nervig waren die kleinen schottischen Mücken. Aber man wusste ja schon voher, dass die zu dieser Jahreszeit noch sehr aktiv waren. Sollten wir wieder in diese Gegend Schottlands fahren, würde wir das Cottage sicherlich nochmals buchen.

The property is traditional small cottage set in idyllic countryside of loch, woods and mountains. Lots to do in the area and everyone we met associated with the property couldn’t have been more helpful. Great place for a week of relaxation mixed with energetic activity. Loved it 😄

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Attadale. East Bothy was warm and cosy and the gardens are amazing. Perfect location for exploring surrounding area and for hillwalking, mountain biking. Plenty of good places to eat out nearby.

Séjour de charme dans les Highlands

Un très cottage spacieux, agréable et bien équipé dans un environnement magnifique. Idéalement situé pour visiter le Nord des Highlands (Applecross, Gairloch, Torridon, ....) et l'île de Skye. Locharron tout proche (5' en voiture) vous propose un petit supermarché, un garage pompe-à-essence, de bons restaurants, ... Les jardins d'Attadale, inclus dans la réservation, sont un véritable bijou à ne pas manquer. Alec et Joanna, nos hôtes, sont disponibles et de bon conseil. Quel que soit le problème, ils y répondent en un temps record. Pour les amoureux de la nature, de nombreux oiseaux, des cerfs parfois très proches, sont un autre point d'intérêt. C'est le jardin d'Eden à quelques mètres de votre logement. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Accessible but with a feeling of remoteness

Cosy, comfortable and homely cottage. Very tranquil setting. Loved the log fire. Within easy reach of a number of mountain ranges e.g. Glen Shiel, and Skye as well as the hills within the estate which involve a long walk or cycle in. Transport to these may be available by negotiation with owners, as we did. Attadale Gardens are delightful, even at this time of year, and gardener I spoke to was charming and knowledgeable. A special thanks to Joanna for her kindness during our stay, and for a very interesting insight into her life on the estate.

Attadale West Bothy

Fantastic location, wonderful place, the wood burning stove made the property warm despite the weather outside. Bathroom and one bedroom downstairs which means that if you have mobility problems you are still catered for. Owner and her staff extremely helpful and friendly. The location is a mile along a well maintained estate road. There are a further 7 miles of track up into the hills which you can walk or bike along. The Attadale Gardens are a wonderful place to wander round and has a self service tearoom with locally made cakes to die for.

The ideal Highland retreat for families

We have been visiting the Attadale Estate off and on for the past 25 years. That's because we love Wester Ross that chance to return to an estate where we have always had the most amazing and memorable holidays. The cottages are simply furnished, spotlessly clean and well-maintained. There is always a posy of flowers when we arrive and those who work on the estate genuinely want you to have a special time. It is the perfect place to visit if you are looking to escape the hurly-burly of city life and you don't need 4-star furnishings and service in order to have a relaxing holiday. The estate has spectacular walks and some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe are a short drive away. Once you've stayed you'll probably want to keep it a secret from family and friends... there are few places left that are this unspoilt. Joe Pelissier and family.

Excellent location in the Scottish Highlands

We had heard about this location from a friend and it was just as good as he had told us. Close to Lochcarron but set in a scenic valley in the grounds of Attadale House with its beautiful gardens. We had the biggest of the cottages, Strathan House which will sleep eight although one of the twins is a little small if you have two burly walkers and their kit. We only had one lady in it and that was fine. The other rooms are an excellent size. Parking is a bit limited but you can park on the grass if necessary. We had five cars and managed ok. Being hillwalkers, getting a lift seven miles up the valley from the head keeper was a great bonus. We climbed both the Munros easily from there on a lovely sunny day. The Strathcarron Hotel proved excellent for both food and drink. Overall, it was a great week.

un petit coin de paradis!

La maison est spacieuse, agréable et confortable. La vue et le cadre sont extraordinaires, nous avions les cerfs le soir juste à côté du cottage. La propriétaire est accueillante, et parles très bien français (ce qui a été pratique pour nous qui parlons très très peu anglais). Pour résumer , un séjour parfait dans cette maison.

Séjour à Strathan House

C'est notre 2ème séjour en famille (2 familles) dans ce superbe cottage. Propre, très bien équipé, calme, on s'y sent tout de suite comme à la maison. Il se trouve dans un écrin de verdure et les cerfs viennent même brouter dans le jardin ! Le cottage est idéalement situé non loin de la route menant à l'ile de Skye et d'accès facile pour les visites sur le continent. Tous les commerces utiles sont au village à quelques miles et les soirées peuvent se terminer dans l'ambiance chaleureuse du pub de Strathcarron. En résumé c'est un lieu que nous recommandons sans hésitation aucune !

Cute house in a very nice surrounding

It is a very beautiful, clean and cute house, one of the three. There is enough space for 8 People - there are 4 bedrooms and in the master bedroom is a double bed. It has a fitted kitchen where you can cook and bake, if you want to. In the living room is a TV, but only for DVD's - you have so many things to see... TV is not necessary ;) The houses are very close to the Attadale Garden (a really nice place!) where you can find the washing machine. Strathcarron is close by. Also close by is a good restaurant and a pub. The owner is very obliging and behaves. She'll help you, if you have any questions. The only thing which we've missed, was the garden furniture. There is a small bench but that's all. Enjoy your stay - the people in this area are so nice and the landscape is so amazing!

Fantastic Location

Over the past 20 years my family have holidayed at Attadale every year and have stayed in all of the cottages. Many of the other reviewers have commented about the wonderful Torridon scenery, the fact that you can get to Skye and Applecross easily and the local restaurants. Everything that they say is true, but I'm going to concentrate on whats available within the estate. A lot of holiday cottages look great in the photos but turn out to be situated on a main road, but at Attadale you can put on your walking boots, turn right out of the cottages and go for anything from a quiet stroll along the riverbank to a full blown, dawn-to-dusk Munro expedition. On your trip you will almost certainly see red deer, on the tops you may see mountain hares and ptarmigan and if you are lucky you will see a golden eagle soaring overhead. Take a picnic to Loch an Isaich or the Star Loch and you can sit in perfect solitude, with nothing but the ripples lapping against the loch side to disturb you. Your younger children can cycle on the estate road, splash about in the river and even go for a swim in the deeper pools. Older ones can mountain bike all the way to Bendronaig Lodge and beyond and there is great fishing available in lochs all over the estate. Back at your cottage in the evening there is every chance that the red deer will come and visit you. If you open the door quietly you can slip out of your world and share theirs for a few minutes, standing just a few metres from them while they graze on the cottage lawn. And the sofas are comfy, the fire is warm, the cottages are clean, etc. There are many holiday cottages that tick those boxes, but only a very few that have the Attadale Estate on their doorstep.

Cottage à Lochcarron

Nous avons passé une semaine dans le cottage Attadale. La maison était très bien aménagée, confortable et joliment décorée. Elle peut accueillir deux familles avec des enfants (nous étions seulement 4). L'endroit est très calme, à proximité immédiate d'un très beau "walled garden" qu'il faut visiter. C'est un bel endroit pour visiter la côte, et pas loin de l'île de Skye (40 minutes en voiture). Lochcarron est à 6 minutes en voiture : on y trouve un bon restaurant pour tous les jours, un pub pour tous les soirs, et un golf 9 trous avec beaucoup de charme (en bord du loch et contre le vieux cimetierre !). Bref, une bonne adresse pour se mettre "au vert". jp de Nancy, France

Gemütliches Haus in einer tollen Gegend

Am späten Samstagabend sind wir angekommen und haben uns erst etwas schwer getan, das Haus zu finden, da es sehr versteckt und ruhig liegt. Dafür waren wir dann begeistert. Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen und vier Kindern unterwegs und haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist super und wir haben von hier aus viele schöne Ausflüge gemacht. Besonders die Isle of Skye hatte es uns angetan. Das Haus war sehr gemütlich und wir konnten Abends im Wohnzimmer am brennenden Kamin schön entspannen. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig waren die Duschen, aber auch das hat schließlich gut funktioniert. Unbedingt Mückenabwehrmittel mitbringen, das es rund um das Haus einige Mitches gibt. Mit dem entsprechenden Mittel war das aber kein Problem, da sich die Tierchen nur auf den Bereich in direkter Nähe des Hausss konzentrierten. Insgesamt empfehlen wir das Haus gerne weiter.

NOUS SERIONS BIEN RESTES POUR TOUJOURS !

Arthur 16 ans, Quentin 12 ans et nous deux, leurs parents, avons adoré ! Nous avons vécu deux semaines, loin de tout tumulte parisien, dans un pays unique et inoubliable. L'accueil est exceptionnellement chaleureux, le cottage très confortable et ravissant. Dans notre jardin, tous les soirs et pour toutes les nuits, trois cerfs magnifiques avaient élu domicile en toute amitié. De là, nous avons pu sillonner le nord ouest des Highlands, l’Île de Skye, les landes montagneuses, la région d'Inverness, celle du Loch Ness et + encore. La possibilité de randonnées est infinie. Les jardins d'Attadale sont magiques... Que dire si ce n'est de conseiller fortement ce voyage dépaysant et fort en émotions, avec pour base ce cottage. Un grand salut à tous les highlanders que nous avons si joyeusement rencontrés!

Attadale holiday cottages

Comfortable and well-equipped cottages and a great location on a Scottish estate where the beautiful Attadale Gardens are yours for the week. In the vast and wild "back garden" they have their own two Munros and deer steal down to the cottages in the middle of the night. Nearby Lochcarron, Applecross and Plockton are three of the prettiest coastal communities in the Highlands and Attadale Estate's eating out recommendations are excellent.

Inoubliable !

Strathan House est merveilleusement chaleureuse, propre et confortable. Nous étions 2 familles dont 5 enfants et il y avait vraiment de la place pour tous. Le cadre est superbe et offre un calme remarquable. En prime, les cerfs viennent dans le jardin le soir, quel spectacle ! La propriétaire est charmante et met à disposition beaucoup de documentation sur les environs. Le cottage est idéalement situé pour visiter Skye, Eilean Donan ou le loch Ness mais aussi les endroits moins connus mais tellement époustouflant de beauté comme Torridon ou la pointe d'Applecross. Les commerces sont à Lochcarron et l'on trouve facilement de quoi se ravitailler. Il y a même un très bon boucher qui propose un très bon haggis. Bref, nous recommandons cet endroit en tous points ! Wundervoll!!

Wir verbrachten die erste Woche unseres Schottlandurlaubs in Attadale im Haus für 8 Personen. Es war wunderbar! Das Haus hatte genügend Platz für zwei befreundete Familien. Alles war sehr sauber und in Ordnung. Die Lage ist traumhaft! Das Beste ist der kostenfreie Eintritt in den Botanischen Garten, wo wir viele wunderschöne Fotos machen konnten. Bewundernswert, die Teestube im Park mit der Kasse des Vertrauens, was in Deutschland vielleicht nicht so möglich wäre. Auch in der Umgebung haben wir sehr viel unternommen. Von der nahe gelegenen Bahnstation sind wir mit dem Zug nach Plockton (wunderschön) und Kyle of Lochalsh gefahren, haben die Insel Skye besucht (leider kamen wir für die Runrig-Ausstellung in Portree im Skye's Heritage Centre ein Jahr zu spät), haben uns die Ruine vom Strome Castle angeschaut, waren in Gairloch an einem traumhaften Strand, waren natürlich im Eilean Donan Castle und erlebten unseren schönsten Ausflug nach Applecross. Atemberaubende Landschaft bei Traumwetter! Einkaufen war im nahe gelegenen Lochcarron gar kein Problem. Und auch das Essen schmeckte in allen von uns besuchten Pubs und Restaurants. Besonders gemütlich und lecker war es in der Kishorn Seafood Bar an der A896 zwischen Lochcarron und Tornapress und im Applecross Inn, wo wir auf Grund des schönen Wetters draußen sitzen konnten. Auf unserer Weiterreise sind wir von der Insel Skye mit der Fähre von Armadale nach Mallaig übergesetzt, um den traumhaften Blick vom Glen Finnan am Loch Shiel zu genießen! Fazit - wir würden jederzeit gern wieder in Attadale Urlaub machen!!

Attadale Holiday Cottages

We have stayed at Attadale - Strathan Cottage - many time since 1988. The cottage is very well maintained and fitted out to meet every need. It is comfortable and warm and its location is beyond compare. It is possible to walk from the cottage into the high hills to places of great beauty and amongst the most peaceful countryside. The gardens at Attadale are also within easy walking distance and are of great interest. Loccarron has all essential needs and the local restaurants are of good quality. Attadale is a great centre for exploring this part of Scotland and Skye. I would highly recommend this peaceful place.
