Family trip

The condo was a great size for our family (3 generations) of 6. First time trip for the granddaughters, and first time trip with all of us together. Very special. Love being on the ocean, even with the wild wind in the afternoon. One of the best features is the screen/blind that blocks the sun in the late afternoon, and helps with the wind as well. Well equipped kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

Great unit in great location

Our stay was great - the unit was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The view is unbeatable and the building was great for our young kids who enjoyed the beach and the pool. We would love to come back and would recommend this unit to anyone!

Great vacation

We had an amazing time, the view from the lanai was stunning, especially to sit and watch the sunset. The property was close to many activities or you could step out and hang out on the beach or go for a stunning walk along the coastline. It had everything we needed and we all had a great time.

Perfect size for our family

The condo was a perfect fit for our needs. It was very clean and comfortable. The check in process was very easy. The owners were very good communicating with us. The views of the sunset were magnificent. It was fun to see the turtles come up to the beach at night. We couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay.

Amazing Condo!

Simply amazing place in Maui! Clean, comfortable and easily accessible to everything in Kihei and Wailea. When we arrived the place was spotless and better than advertised. The view is actually even better than advertised! This was a perfect place for our family of four and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in Maui.

Beautiful Condo

This condo was absolutely perfect for my family of 5. It is in a great spot close to so many things. The condo was beautiful and the owners were always quick to respond back with any questions we came up with. Love the turtles in the swimming area just sleeping on the rocks. Great time in Maui

Overall a great experience at this property. Not the fanciest place, but the value and location were excellent. Had an issue with the facility outside of the property owners' control and they took care of it promptly and Is without any hassle. Would definitely come back.

BEST view you could ask for!

Just returned from our stay in Maui and this property was absolutely perfect for our family. The water views were picture perfect. We saw whales and sea turtles almost everyday. The beach was steps away and relatively shallow so any water activities were easy to do. I highly recommend staying for sunset each night if you can because it is like no other view you will see. You feel like you’re at the edge of the world. We will definitely be back!

Family vacation celebration of marriage

The condo is beautiful right on the beach. Nice pool and roof top bbq that was awesome! So many things to do and see in the area. We really enjoyed our trip. The only reason I gave this condo a four star is because there is no AC and this was not noted in the discription of the condo prior to us reserving and paying for the condo. It's was really hot at night and it's November I could not imagine how hot it is during the summer months. This may not be important to some people just thought I would mention it because it was important to me.

Highly recommend!

The apartment is fantastic! You can't beat the location. Perfect west-facing view for amazing sunsets. Direct view of the traditional Hawaiian "fish pond" for watching turtles all day long. Conveniently located for Kihei, Wailea, and West Maui. The apartment itself is spacious, with a nice new kitchen and bathroom, comfortable living room furniture, and a nice TV. We've stayed in this complex before, and this condo was even nicer than the previous one we stayed in. The only thing I'll mention is that they don't provide a starter supply of shampoo or tissues. They're up front about it, and there's a safeway down the block where you can easily pick up anything you need, but it's worth knowing about in advance.

Great accommodations, would stay again.

We had a great time during our week in Maui! The property location was very convenient, the complex was very quiet, and the unit was very clean. The balcony was our favorite place to be... the view was fantastic and we watched the whales every morning. The condo had everything we needed (beach towels/toys/chairs, well-stocked kitchenware, etc). One of the beds was a little hard for our "advanced age" travelers, but the property managers were finally able to reach the owners and acquire a mattress topper for us. Also, one of the bedrooms has sliding track doors, and they rattled with the wind at night (windows had to stay open because no A/C), but the couple we were traveling with didn't mind leaving them open, so it was okay, but just something to keep in mind for privacy's sake. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again!

We stayed Aug. 2-16, 2023. It was a beautiful place and we absolutely loved it. The fires put a little damper on things but we still enjoyed our stay. Anyone wanting to know if the no Air conditioning will be a problem it will not be. The air flow through the whole condo was enough and we are air conditioning kind of people. The temp outside was 90ish degrees every day and we had no problems. It was warm during the day but not unbearable because of the wind blowing in. Things I wish I knew: They have a bunch of beach towels. (would not have brought ours) Didn't need a hairdryer. They have one but didn't need it. there were 4 of us girls with long hair. Beach hair didn't care. Gail and Bob do treat you like family. They checked in on us to make sure we were ok during and after the Lahaina/kula fires. This was our first vrbo and we picked a winner

In 1987 when our parents had already decided that Maui was their "go to" place to escape New York winters, we bought this condo for their (and our) enjoyment. After their passing, we continued with a nice blend of family use and rental time. Some thirty years later, Maui and Menehune Shores continue to be the cornerstone of the Hopper family tradition.
Our standard is to provide our rental guests with an affordable and well maintained condo in the same manner we would for our family.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

As you open the door, you will be awestruck by the unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean. Our unit is less than 50 feet from the water and the soothing sounds of the ocean lapping against the seawall can be heard throughout.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

While convenient to all island amenities, restaurants, and shopping, Menehune Shores is a unique private setting for just relaxing and enjoying ocean and mountain views. A 16th century royal fish pond provides a well protected beach for children to play in the water and sand.

An end to a perfect day is joining other guest and owners watching the magnificent sunsets on the "roof top garden" which has gas fired BBQ's and picnic tables for your use.
