Denna lägenhet på första våningen ligger i den fredliga utvecklingen av Purey Cust. En idealisk plats att koppla av ändå är bara några steg från alla sevärdheter som staden erbjuder.

Det öppna vardagsrummet är det perfekta stället att varva ner med sin stora soffa och LCD-TV komplett med Blu-Ray DVD-spelare och Virgin kabel-TV. Soffan kan också omvandlas till en säng för att rymma enstaka gäst.

Another great stay

We have stayed at The Brierley several times and always enjoyed it. The location, with safe, gated parking, is superb. The apartment is tastefully decorated and all furnishings, appliances and household goods are of a high quality. The property has always been cleaned to a high standard but, on both the last time we stayed here in 2024 and again this year, we were disappointed at the state of the windows in the sitting room, which were very dirty on the outside. This is no doubt in part due to ongoing building works in nearby properties. As one of the major selling points of this property is the amazing views of the Minster, it was a shame about the partially obscured view, especially with the sunshine showing up every bit of dirt.

Lovely Apartment & Fantastic Location

We have stayed here three times now & we’re pleased to go back. The apartment has got to be in one of the best locations in the City, with a rare & privileged view of the Minster.

Great location wonderful view of York Minster. Very well equipped accommodation.

Better than we expected. Flat good size and great view from main living area. Ideal location for the city. Great to have secure parking. Quite area very relaxing stay. We would stay again.

Return Visitor

We love the Brierley. Our third visit and it won't be our last! Great location in centre of York with own private parking. The apartment is well fitted out with good quality fixtures and fittings and has everything you could need, apart from a full length mirror!! Which we overlook as it offers everything else we want.

Beautiful apartment in wonderful location

We have stayed at The Brierley several times over the years and keep going back because of the excellent location, offering secure parking, the comfort and cleanliness. The Minster bells on Sundays have to be heard to be believed - wonderful! The only negative comment I have is that several of the window frames are now showing their age and need some repair/repainting but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of another excellent visit.

Location, location, location

This was our last stop on a 10 day tour of England and Wales, and by far the best place we stayed on the entire trip. A little difficult to find, but once inside, spacious, clean, views of the west end of York Minster, walking distance to everything. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Second stay as good as the first.

Excellent location with dedicated parking in the heart of York. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well provided. The only criticisms are that it is lacking a full length mirror and non-slip mats in the showers, and the mattresses have soft edges which make you feel like rolling out of bed.

relaxation

my wife and i had a lovely stay i would recommend the brierly as a great place to stay when visiting york the decorating needs to be refreshed as it has to keep to the standards of local residents who maintain their property,s to a high standard but i do intend to go back also it was great to know our car was safe and secure in car park .

Perfect Location

This was our second visit to this property. We love it! Tucked away behind York Minster with it's own secure parking space it's the ideal place to be in York. Everything is easily accessible on foot from it so no need to move the car. The apartment is on the first floor but stairs are new, wide and easy to negotiate. Inside it is well equipped with good quality furnishings and equipment.

Our third stay here! Such a lovely homely apartment. Excellent location right next to the Minster. Excellent safe parking within a gated car park - you can see the car from the apartment. Small things that need to be addressed: the double bed is a beautiful sleigh bed but needs a new mattress. There is a bit of a drain smell around the bedrooms/bathrooms. The sofa isn’t terribly comfortable. Having said that we love it here and will return.

Great York Location

The location is superb. The facility is great. The only problems for us was a lack of clear directions for 1) using the washing machine - who knew you had to slam the door to get it to work; 2) directions for running the dishwasher; 3) turning on the TV - had to have the "York Stays" rep come over to help figure that one out, plus let us know the slamming secret for the washing machine. Other than these specific issues, we really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location in York with parking.

We recently had our second stay here. It is a generously sized flat overlooking the frontage of the Minster. We pre booked and visited all the major attractions with a simple 5-10 minutes max walk from the accommodation. It is well furnished and the kitchen has every modern/traditional gadget you would ever need. I am pleased to see the main bedroom now has side table. There are so many good places to eat within a very short walk. It backs onto a couple of pubs, one had a live music night while we were there. The good thing was we didn’t get disturbed by the pubs or music at all, unlike the brewery delivery early morning. Sadly there were also builder totally renovating the house opposite who started up heavy machinery at 8am and then tree surgeons on the other side of the flat cutting the trees. Having said all that it is usually a peaceful place to stay. I would suggest the windows really need some maintenance and a really good window clean.

Potential to be 5* but falls short

Apartment is in a beautiful location and building. Excellent secure parking. Peaceful and very quiet. Spacious apartment which has a lovely atmosphere. Two of the three smart televisions did not work despite the agent trying solve the problem. No full length mirror. Had to be careful in shower as there was no anti slip mat. The seal along the bottom of the shower screen in baththroom was very dirty. Items on kitchen window sill covered in dust. No user instructions for kitchen appliances and TV's No obvious switch for the standard lamps, thought they needed new bulbs. Eventually found the switch on the wall at the opposite end of the room. Couch is pilled and bit tired and the throw had hairs on it. Welcome pack very poor, 4 tea bags, 2 coffee bags, sachets of milk and 2 small packs of biscuits which were stale. Wrong Wi-Fi code in details emailed a few days before we arriived. As such spent an hour trying to get the Wi-Fi to work. Overall not as advertised and not value for money.

Comfortable apartment and great location

Right next to York Minster, a beautiful first floor apartment with quality furnishings and fittings. We loved the beds and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Televisions in the bedrooms didn't work but we had no time to use them anyway. Definitely recommend.

A wonderful place to stay

What a wonderful place. The location is just brilliant. The view of the Minster is just amazing. The flat itself has everything you need. It is very comfortable and stylist. And it having secure parking right by the flat is a bonus. Especially with being in the centre of York. Just a wonderful place.

A wonderful stay

We spent 2 nights with our children (2 adults, 2 children and a baby) in this apartment. It is very well located, quiet. The bedding is very good and the apartment well furnished and very nicely decorated. We even had the surprise of finding board games and puzzles. Parking is a real plus (in a secure place near the apartment). We really liked the welcome kit (with treats, coffee, tea...). Just to know before renting: no shower gel or shampoo provided (fortunately I had taken what I needed with me) We highly recommend it and will be happy to rent it again for a future stay.

Fantastic location, love the bells and great apartment

Loved that we could hear the bells :). We had a little issue with the TV to work but figured out to change the DVD cord to the internet and it was fixed. Out group really enjoyed the apartment and would come back again. Were in Love with York so will book again.

Fantastic place to stay

We had a wonderful few days staying at The Brierley. Everything was of the best quality and very clean. Two complaints None of the televisions worked . We called the agents who sent someone out that evening but after working for 10 minutes after she had gone we had not picture again . Went around the next morning to the office and was told someone would come around to sort it out . We never heard anything else. It was a great shame for us as we wanted to watch the winter Olympics . We would have liked someone to be in touch and told us what was happening and to apologise for the lack of tv. We had after all paid for the use of 3 tv’s One other thing was that In the main bedroom there were no bedside tables or bedside lights . Very strange and very iconvenient .
