Great location great vacation

It was exactly in the middle of everything. The master bedroom did have a loud AC unit but if you let it run non-stop but putting it down to 70 it starts to get quieter. Cindy was awesome! Really helpful and kind. The fireplace is a little sharp and the main reason why the place isn't considered child friendly but we put blankets on the fire place and the girls were fine.

Heart of Waikiki

Excellent apartment building in the heart of Waikiki. Shopping, restaurants and the beach are all easily accessible. Apartment is perfectly comfortable with million dollar view of Diamond Head, shoreline and the mountains. The Royal Kuhio is quiet and very secure. You can’t ask for a better place to stay in my opinion.

We enjoyed the view, kept watching the activity below. The condo was very nice and had plenty of room for the four of us. The beds were comfortable and we were provided with several extras, like beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The washer and dryer were also very nice to have. There are a few maintenance issues that need to be attended to. (Window in 2nd bedroom is hard to open and close; dishwasher is not screwed in; and a couple of chairs need to be repaired.) We also would have appreciated some kleenex and more toilet paper, more chairs on the Lania, and some seasonings in the kitchen. Overall, it was a nice condo and we had a great time!

Great Waikīkī Location!

We stayed in Martin’s penthouse over a long weekend while visiting the island for family vacay work trip to Honolulu. For our group of 4 adults and one kid, the 2 BR set-up with separate baths was ideal. Our son was happy to sleep on a foam roll-out bed or in the large master bed with us. The location was great for getting to Waikīkī Beach or Hilton Lagoon. Plenty of food options throughout the day. Would highly recommend Waffle and Berry or even little Happy Hawaiian Cafe for breakfast. We ate at Paia Fish Market and Marugame Udon for dinner - easy walking distance! We even got to experience Spam Jam festival. Windows of the unit kept out the noise from the busy area well. Nice view! Building lobby safe and clean.We were anxious about check-in process (finding a lock box w/ key), but it was very simple. We didn’t realize that the garage would have such a low entry clearance (6 ft 3 in for the basement level spot). A mini van ended up working. We should have realized based on other listings in the area that the garage might be low, but it wasn’t obvious for this listing.The unit is updated and the furniture comfortable. However, there were cleanliness issues - musty towels, musty/dirty vents and poor condition of the A/C window units, minor condition issues with paint in some areas, kitchen faucet wouldn’t rotate, feet dirtied quickly while walking around living space. Took stars off compared to other places we’ve stayed but issues are easily fixable for future guests.

Far exceeded my expectations... Highly recommended!

Having stayed at the Royal Kuhio many times before I can speak from experience that you never quite know what you are going to get as each owner controls their own environment. This unit is far and away the nicest I’ve seen there and likely the best in the building. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in a modern and clean environment this is the place for you. The car park situation is unique at RK in that every owner has their own spot(s) and they are randomly distributed throughout the garage. This unit’s spot is ideal and makes for easy in and out should you do any driving. While not directly facing the ocean, the balcony view of Diamond Head and the ocean is excellent and satisfies your need to take in the Hawaiian landscape while at home. I found this floor of the building to be quiet for the most part with little evidence of any neighbor activity. Anything you might need is within easy walking distance and there is a well-stocked ABC store within a 2-3 minute walk. This building’s central location means that most of Waikiki including the beach is accessible within about a 10 minute walk. Finally, the owner has on-site representation meaning that should you have any issues there is somebody literally in the same building able to assist. Overall A++ and highly recommended for your Waikiki/Honolulu visit. I will be back.

Working in paradise

We stayed in this unit for 6 weeks. It was very comfortable and began to feel like home. A great location to walk to anything you want or need. High enough to be above the city noise and offer spectacular views of the beach, Diamond Head and the surrounding mountains. Sunrise was a treat everyday! Martin was great to work with and very responsive and helpful. The unit is very roomy and is stock with all you will need. Would highly recommend it.

The location was incredible!!! The condo was fully renovated and looked as nice as the photos. The views were outstanding day and night. Martin the property manager was very easy to work with and the entire process of booking, checking in and checking out was perfect. The penthouse gated parking spot was extra large and private with easy access. I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful!!!!

This was our second trip to Oahu and I was extremely happy with this condo. To start, I just want to say it is all about the location and the view. I could have sat on the lanai and been happy. This condo is within walking distance to the Food Pantry { grocery store}, restaurants, Waikiki Beach, the Zoo, the Aquarium, beach rental equipment, water activities such as surfing, snorkeling, scuba. There is a bus stop right in front that can take you just about anywhere else you want to go. The check-in and check- out process was extremely easy. The directions were sent to us by e-mail a couple of week before we went and they were easy to follow. Just watch the one way streets upon arrival. The parking space was great and also easy to navigate. I saw some complaints about operating the TV and lights. We had no problems. Everything is very organized, and explained well in the manual provided. The beds in the bedrooms were comfortable, but would recommend smaller adults or children for the couch. We had plenty of bedding, pillows, towels, beach towels for our family of 6 adults. The only disappointment I can think of is that the pool and rec area was closed, but who needs a pool when you have the ocean just a short walk away. Thank you for the excellent adventure!!!!
