Amazing beautiful property, quirky and full of character. Beautiful gardens and fantastic location. Very well equipped and very comfortable beds, everything thought of.Would worry if I had small children there with all the curious things, but we didnt so wasnt a problem for us and we loved all the artefacts around the property.

Don’t stay here! Incorrect check in information, could not enter property. Stuck outside on rainy evening with an infant. Could not get hold of host. Rang Vrbo and they could not get hold of the host either. Incredibly distressing- had to arrange other accommodation at considerable expense.

Amazing cottage in a perfect location for exploring Swanage. Quirky decor that'll have you spending hours wandering around examining. Plenty of space for everyone.

Beautiful house in an ideal location

The house was absolutely stunning and perfect for our family celebrating a special birthday. Being an older property there were a few issues with mould and water draining, but nothing that affected our stay too much. We had some issues with being given the wrong gate code, but thankfully the gardener was on site to let us in! Absolutely beautiful location, walking distance to everything locally and no need to use a car for our stay. We would certainly stay again!

A quirky house great for three couples

The house is in a great position just beyond the town centre. It is very roomy and very good for three couples, having three bathrooms. There is a lot of space inside, and a lovely garden. The decor is quirky, but good fun, with the most antlers I have ever seen! We did have problems with the lack of hot water in the mornings, But Stephen (the host) did his best to sort it remotely during our stay and has offered us a small refund. I would thoroughly recommend Clarence Cottage.

Incredibly unique home that feels like a setting in a novel

We still can't believe we were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful house. Every room was quirky and charming and memorable. The four of us (husband, sons, self) spread out in this house with so much room to spare. We started each day with scones in the conservatory, each time finding a new detail to admire. It took us a morning to fully explore the grounds and all their nooks and crannies. The location was perfect, an easy walk to the seashore and also a pleasant walk south to Durlston Castle. A perfect stay and probably inspiration for my youngest son's first novel. Thank you to our wonderful unseen hosts!

Great location and the garden was a hit!

A great stay! We had a great time, the location was good but a heads up swanage is a hilly! We had a little one so the garden was a hit - just be mindful that there isn’t much space within the property for children, so if you have more than one it might not be suitable. Stephen messaged before our visited with a compressive list of what we needed to know (thank you!). The gardener visited and was friendly, however he was there for around four hours which seemed like a long time, we noticed afterwards we could have moved his visit but think this was a communication error on both parts. Overall a great stay, parking is on the road but plenty and easy to get to! Bedrooms were all a good size and bathrooms were clean - overall a great stay and highly recommend.

Stunning property, great location

Property was just as pictured and describes, checking o process nice and easy. Welcome pack very useful information. House is for 7 people, there were only 4 of us but even if there had been 7 there is plenty of room for all. Property presented well, gorgeous pieces of furniture and artwork. Bedrooms are set out nicely giving further feeling of space. All areas were really clean, some supplies in kitchen which made cooking for ourselves much simpler and even tea and coffee. Definitely a 5 star Property, would we stay again, in a heartbeat

Fabulous Stay

Fantastic house positioned in the centre of Swanage. Detached property with brilliant layout for large family holiday stay. Property laid out over three floors and decorated to a very high standard. Easy access to centre of Swanage and sea views from upper floor. Parking available on adjacent road and no issues with finding spaces for two vehicles.
