We stayed at Ultra Violet for a girls weekend. There was PLENTY of space. So many different sitting areas and hang out spaces. The kitchen was huge and great for cooking and being all together The staff at check-in and check-out were wonderful and any communication in between was great. The top 3 bedrooms’ mattresses are firm, in my opinion. But it didn’t impact anyone’s stay or sleep. I would recommend the floors to be cleaned better in between stays. We had to wear shoes or our feet got dirty. We did not use the amenities so I can’t speak on those, but the house is a very short distance to the beach. We walked it easily all carrying chairs, bags, and coolers. I would recommend Ultra Violet to big families or big groups. We enjoyed it.

The property was filthy upon our arrival despite the cleaning crew finishing up when we arrived. Our bare feet and socks were absolutely black within hours of checkin. Our son had to mop the entire house twice. There was a spill of some kind in one of the bedrooms that was on the blinds, down the wall and onto the bedding. Furniture is old and worn. Very few lamps in living areas. We also had an ant invasion and needed to make two trips to the store to buy a total of 18 ant traps to get rid of them. We probably killed over 100 ants before the traps started to work. The house has potential- great location- but I can not recommend it as is.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re truly sorry that your stay started off this way. As we've discussed with you directly, we take your concerns seriously and are always happy to make things right when issues are brought to our attention during a stay. We want every guest to have a comfortable experience, and we're sorry we fell short. The condition of the floors and the other cleanliness issues you mentioned were an oversight by our housekeeping team. Since your stay, we've made changes to our floor cleaning process and tightened our inspection procedures to help ensure this doesn't happen again. We’re confident the home's cleanliness and overall upkeep will be much improved moving forward. We're also sorry you had to deal with the ants. Your feedback has been shared with our maintenance team so preventative measures can continue to be strengthened. We’re glad you enjoyed the location, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback has helped us improve, and we hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you- BWVR

Excellent Beachwalk Retreat with best outdoor space & lots of privacy!

Best location 2 blocks from beach access yet close to clubhouse & pool. Away from main traffic areas & hillside position provides privacy. Having large decks, fire pit & screened in porch means you can enjoy any weather. Very well equipped & bedroom layout that's ideal for adults who don't want to share bathrooms or sleep in bunk bed!

Great House

What a great house! Our group of 5 had so much room! Each one of us has our own bedroom, which was amazing! The gathering space around the kitchen is where we spent the most time, and every morning, we had a deer friend who would visit off the deck of the kitchen. There are a lot of steps going from level to level, but we rallied and got more steps in for the week. We love the Beachwalk Resort, and this was another great place to stay!

Ultra Violet, Beachwalk Resort, Michigan City, IN

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Beachwalk Resort and in our rental Ultra Violet. Everything was great and so convenient to the beach and amenities. We enjoyed breakfasts at Farmette in New Buffalo, MI; it is a farm store, pastry shop and great coffee bar. Also, Oink’s for ice cream in New Buffalo, Fluid Coffee Shop in Michigan City, and the antique market for vintage shopping. We spent most of our time on the gorgeous beach and swimming in Lake Michigan.

Ultraviolet Beachwalk Repeat!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoy our 2nd stay at this large home which has plenty of space for multiple families. We love the location as it's close to everything but has privacy & it's quieter than other areas. We also love the bedroom & bath layout with multiple floors and several gathering spaces! We don't mind the stairs between levels but it is something to consider. It was great to see some improvement ( new decking!) but it is started to show its age. Place is clean but kitchen is disorganized, making it difficult to find things ( perhaps cleaning crew should be putting things in order after each set of guests). Spacious deck is fantastic but screened in porch is difficult to enjoy with lack of lighting & it's not as well maintained as other spaces.

Family Friendly

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were visiting the area for a family wedding nearby. Ultra Violet had plenty of room for the entire family, including small children. Great location between Kai Lake which has many amenities, beach, pool, snack shop and kayaking...and Lake Michigan's beautiful beach. Both were only a few blocks walk. The property had some cleaning issues upon our arrival, but a phone call to the help desk and both housekeeping and maintenance were on location within minutes. The outdoor deck areas are dated and in need of some repair. The interior of the property was mostly updated and in good repair.

Lots of room. Private. Great stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is set back against the dune so offers a lot of privacy. They were lots of extra rooms and five bedrooms so our large party had plenty of space to spread out. We were also fairly close to the beach path so that was easy with the kids. They’re also lots of beach chairs, and the beach mat for the lake.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was lovely. The kitchen is well-stocked with all of the necessary items to cook and serve meals. My only minor complaint would be the dead crickets on the lower level and not enough dishwashing liquid. This would not deter me from renting this propoerty again as this was already my 2nd time renting this home.

Perfect home for a large family

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at Ultra Violet and Beachwalk in general. Perfect location for young children as it was close to the beach and pool/lake. Great beach toys, tons of beach chairs and umbrellas, indoor and outdoor games and activities for kids made the stay lots of fun from start to finish. Only criticism is the house is starting to show its age and there were things that were broken (an outdoor chair, refrigerator shelf, ice maker) that detracted from the appeal of the place. Overall great stay and great place to stay.

Great Stay for Large Group

The home was wonderful for our stay which included ten adults. We all had our own bedrooms with Queen and King size beds. There was plenty of room in the gathering spaces and the kitchen was fully stocked. The neighborhood was delightful but we went in the off season so we couldn't fully enjoy all that it had to offer. When booking be conscious that there are many stairs in the home so not for people with mobility issues. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again!
