Denna traditionella lakefront stuga ligger pÄ George's Pond har allt du kan önska för en lugn, fredlig Maine semester. Byggd 1912, har sin rustika atmosfÀr alla moderna bekvÀmligheter utan att offra erfarenheten. Somna som lyssnar pÄ loonsna sjunger och vaknar till soluppgÄngen och tittar pÄ örnar och fiskgjorda matar pÄ sjön. Denna stuga ligger inbÀddat bland höga tallar som tar dig andan. George's Pond Àr en 380 hektar storfjÀdermatad sjö omgiven av glimtar av bergen i Acadia National Park. Denna stuga sover 6-8 (drottning master sÀng, 4 enkelsÀngar i loften och en dubbelsÀng pÄ den sovande verandan). Protokoll till Schoodic Mountain och Schoodic Beach (del av Acadia National Park) för vandring och simning eller picknick pÄ Jordanens Pond. Schoodic toppmötet Àr platt med 360 graders hisnande utsikt över Frenchman Bay och Mount Desert Island. Downeast Sunrise Trail Àr en ombyggd jÀrnvÀg med miles av spÄr för cykling, vandring, ATV eller promenader (se hemsidan för mer information) bara 3 minuter frÄn stugan. Kabinen ligger bara 30-40 minuter till Acadia National Park och Bar Harbor. DÀr kan du vandra, mountainbike, handla ösbutikerna, Àta i Bar Harbor restauranger, gÄ valskÄdning eller ta en lÀcker glasskaka. Du kan ocksÄ spela golf pÄ den berömda Kebo Valley kursen. VÀlj blÄbÀr pÄ vÀg hem och gör en skomakare eller koppla av pÄ kajen. Vi erbjuder kajaker och livvÀstar. Det finns flera cykel-, kajak- och bÄtuthyrning tillgÀngliga. Semester vÀntar!

*** Georges Pond har upplevt en algblomning under de senaste Ären. Vi kan inte kontrollera Moder Natur tyvÀrr men vÀnligen veta att medan sjön kanske inte Àr bra för simning, Àr det alltid vackert och avkopplande.***

Peaceful

We had a wonderful week at George's Pond. The view from the cabin is gorgeous. The cabin is close to Ellsworth and Acadia but far enough away from the crowds for peace and quiet. We would stay there again.

The Dock is the place to be!

Loved this property! It was just as pictured and the dock was the best place to be! Coffee and reading every morning while my husband fished--it was heaven!

Family Get Away

My family needed a vacation to disconnect from the world and this was perfect! Everything was relaxed and natural. The water was beautiful and fun! Close to Acadia to fill the morning with activities, as well.

Peace-filled getaway

George’s pond cabin was a lovely little getaway. The cabin is cozy and clean and perfectly placed on George’s pond. Kids and family enjoyed the kayaks, fishing (sunnies, pumpkinseeds and small-mouth bass abound!). Short distance from everything you need and late August has THE perfect weather. Would recommend for groups who are staying less than a week (not many places to put clothes/belongings, and no washer/dryer to help keep belongings to a minimum).

Amazing!!!

Our family of 6 (ages 82-11) absolutely LOVED our stay here. It is a beautiful cabin in a fantastic location. It’s small and rustic which was perfect for us. The kitchen was super well stocked. The stairs up to the lofts are steep but no trouble for our kids. The sleeping porch was a dream. Communication with the host was phenomenal - we had a few needs during our stay and she answered immediately.

What a relaxing getaway

Perfect location for a quiet getaway to the Maine coast. Acadia National Park is about 30 minutes away. Rustic cabin was the perfect setting for peace and quiet. Beautiful lake with dock, kayaking available. Host was very informative, gracious and accommodating. Absolutely loved it.

Relaxing

The cozy cabin is beautifully decorated while keeping its rustic charm. The fireplace was a lifesaver as it was cold this past week. I enjoyed watching the wildlife and a family of turkeys spent the night in the trees around the cabin. Enjoyed our vacation here and recommend it highly

Location!

We are rustic/nature people. We put this well above amenities and frills. This was perfect for us. Absolutely no frills but an INCREDIBLE location with huge privacy, peace and nature. It was exactly what we we are looking for

Fantastic Maine Camp

This was just the place to vacation with good friends! The camp has all you need for a summer getaway and more! Waking up to the sound of loons on the lake everyday was a treat! The pond is quietly active with duck families learning to swim and dive! And the sleeping porch is just a dream!

Clean cozy cabin

We really enjoyed our week at George’s Pond Cabin. The cabin was very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a little hiccup at arrival with being locked out but between the property managers and the owners they made sure everything was taken care of. The kids loved the fishing and kayaking! We would for sure stay here again if we ever vacation in Maine again!

Such a serene place to rejuvenate!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable furniture and quality linens. We loved the bed on the porch! The location felt very private and was quiet. The pond had plenty of fish and we enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels. It was a little distance from Acadia, but worth the drive in exchange for the quiet. It felt like a retreat!

Delightful!

Sweet cottage with natural charm. The location is perfect as it offers a sense of seclusion given the trees blocking out neighbors. Quiet lake with loons and eagles. A perfect spot to refresh and restore! Love it.

Great Getaway

What a wonderful and relaxing week to unplug and be in nature. The house was cozy and worked well for the two of us. Danielle was great at communication and even gave us some good insight about things like grocery locations. Acadia is close enough for day trips. It was the perfect blend of pond and ocean.

Peaceful Lake

The cabin was clean. The location was conveniently located in proximity to a gas station, groceries, restaurants, and Acadia. There was minimal boat traffic which made for a relaxing and quiet week. The fishing was very good for August. My husband caught several good size fish off the dock.

We absolutely LOVED the cabin. The kayaking and diving board in the middle of the lake made for a very fun day of just enjoying ourselves at George’s Pond. The cabins distance from Bar Harbor and Acadia are perfect for day trips and then relaxing in nature. We ended each night with s’mores by the fire pit and listening to the water. This cabin is pure heaven.

Cute & Cozy

Our family of 4 enjoyed our week in early June at this quaint cottage on George’s Pond. We appreciated the yummy Blueberry Jam, Wildflower bouquet, beach towels along with bath towels, kayaks, private fishing dock, and fireplace in the cabin. It was chilly in the cabin, but we kept the fire going and found the extra blankets to keep us warm. The kitchen and bathroom are tiny, but effective. We enjoyed the peaceful solitude, trips to Schoodic and Bar Harbor. Ruth & Wimpys was one of our favorite places to eat just minutes from the cabin.

Sweet Cabin on Georges Pond

We had a wonderful stay on Georges Pond! The cabin was perfect with its privacy on the water and outdoor space. We loved kayaking and swimming everyday while also grilling and sitting outside. The space is very well-organized and nicely decorated. Very clean and had everything we needed! Danielle is a dream host and was very responsive during our stay. She is very knowledgable about the area and cares a lot for her home. Thank you so much Danielle-- We will be back for sure!

My husband grew up in Bar Harbor and spent his Summers as a boy going "upta camp" on Donnell's Pond which is just a few miles away. It was important to him that his son spend his Summer's the same way he did. We love George's Pond. It's our happy place.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We fell in love with this property because its a traditional old historic cabin with the ladder up to the lofts and floor to ceiling fireplace. When you wake up in the morning in the master, you feel like you're in the lake. Friends and family who have visited report back that this is their kid's all time favorite vacation. And that's pretty special.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The thing that makes this property unique is that its incredibly quiet and peaceful yet close to the tourist attractions of Acadia and Bar Harbor. The only sounds you hear is the singing of the loons. It's a Summer dream!
