Fantastic unplugged hideaway!

I booked a weekend at the Yoder house as a surprise getaway for my wife and we absolutely loved the property! The house is tucked away in the trees just enough for total privacy, but close enough to neighbors and town in the event of an emergency. There’s no internet and very little cell service, so it’s about as “unplugged” as you can get while still being within 20 minutes of fuel, food, and a little town full of the nicest people! We spent the weekend enjoying our books and the view from the hammocks on the porch, or cuddled up next to the fireplace in the living room. Absolutely recommend!

Stunningly peaceful

spacious cabin in quiet environment

My family booked this property because we no longer live in the area but needed a place to stay as well as a space to host a reception after our mother's funeral. This place was perfect for our needs. It was quiet, spacious, and well-appointed. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We would stay here again. Also, many of our guests thought they may also like to rent this property in the future. Thank you!

Property was beautiful, cabin was amazing. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Such a great place, we will be back!My one suggestion would be to have better lighting over the dining room table, and the island in the kitchen.

Amazing escape!

Our morning view was snow and cardinals with a mountain backdrop. The living room is cozy and comfortable and we loved the long table for setting up games. The kitchen is more than serviceable and the fireplace and provided kindling made it easy to get settled quickly. The cabin was impeccably clean and cared for. We didn’t want to leave. Annie helped us extend our stay and we are so glad we did. Highly recommend!

Annie Yoder är värd

Our dog and boy love visiting our cabin as much as we do. We love getting back to our Amish roots and making jam and canning vegetables. This cabin is a quiet place with room to have a large family gathering on the deck. We love spending time with family here, playing games, baking cookies, walking the property with our dog.

Varför värden valde detta boende

My husband grew up across the mountain in the small town of Belleville, PA. We wanted a place to call our own when we visit family in the area and found an excellent Amish craftsman to build a cabin for us that will be around long after we are gone.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The huge deck with great views of the mountain really set our place apart from others in the area. The inside and outside custom stone fireplaces are a unique feature as well. Not far from the highway, but feels very isolated and peaceful.
