Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The house and pool area were clean, kitchen well stocked, lots of movies and games. Quick walk to the beach with Littles and lots of gear in tow. The owners were easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. Good location, clean beach.. highly recommend.

Very enjoyable. Would be nice, however, if there was initially some toilet paper in each bathroom. Would also be nice to have a kitchen sink stppper and some dishrags. Bicycles are basically worthless.

A Sunny Retreat

We loved everything about this home- it’s proximity to the beach and shopping, the privacy of the backyard and pool, and the house itself- beautifully decorated, spacious kitchen great for preparing family meals, bedrooms with their own private baths, and beautiful decks w/ lovely views to enjoy with the nighttime breeze. Our family loved every minute!

Perfect home

This may have been the best rental I have ever stayed in! Our family loved the home and it had everything we needed. We like to cook and the kitchen was stocked with everything. The pool was a wonderful respite from the heat on the beach. Everything was clean and the rooms were tastefully decorated. Communication with the owner was A++++

Slice of heaven in OBX

This was one of our most favorite OBX rentals ever. The house was just beautiful -- very well appointed, comfortable in every way. Beds, furniture, layout, seating options... all added to a very enjoyable vacation. Lots of items in the kitchen, which is great for us since we do a lot of our own cooking one vacation. (However, we did enjoy a few dinners in Duck and caught some incredible sunsets while dining!) Super convenient and easy walk to the beach, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub afterward. We've bookmarked this house and would love to come back.

Great deck, good view, old house

First the good : great upper deck, great pool, good kitchen, good great room, quiet neighborhood with deer and rabbits, easy to get out onto NC 12 Now the bad : the closets are small, bath has no place to store shampoo etc, poor flooring installation with stair treads being trip hazard, ahrubberry is overhrown making house hard to find on first visit, priced 20 - 25 % too high, covered porch is not screened but still good to get out of sun, gate on top deck is too heavy for hinges and is sagging I would not rent again.

We went for a last minute beach vacation and this house was great! It’s tucked away in brush and trees which makes it feel very secluded, but you can still hear the ocean from the porch. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach, but they have a cute little walk path that makes it easy. The house has everything you would want - pool, beach toys and tools, 2 balcony’s, plenty of bedrooms and a great kitchen. We had a blast and will come back!

This is the best rental we’ve had in Outer Banks since we started visiting a few years ago. Very close to beach, house was clean and there was a well stocked kitchen. The deck on each level was a dream and we enjoyed dining on the deck a few nights. It is in a great location, close to stores and restaurants. But still feels secluded enough that you have privacy. We loved the pool. It was well maintained and had great pool furniture and ample shade. All the beds were comfy and the house stayed a cool temp the whole time we were there. Would love to book this house again!

Pool and Beach

We had a wonderful week! Beach days and Pool days were so relaxing. A short drive to restaurants, shops and golf completed the trip. The house was very clean and plenty of room for the 9 of us. Since every bedroom had its own bathroom and sliding doors to the balcony everyone was happy. We’d love to stay here again

Cunningham Family Vacation - OBX 2025

Our stay at this property (Willems Beach Club in Southern Shores, OBX) was amazing! The home was beautiful, well decorated and clean with lots of space and amenities for our family of 8 plus our granddog. It was conveniently located within a short walking distance to the beach, stores, shops, attractions and restaurants. The kitchen was adequately stocked with lots of supplies as was also the case with their collection of beach toys/chairs/umbrellas, items for the pool and books/games. Miranda, the host, was incredible to work with. She was very responsive and provided very detailed and useful information. We highly recommend this property, and host, for a memorable vacation. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect weather

I honestly thought that the weather was going to be rainy for the majority of the week. I wasn’t too upset because we were still very excited about the house and other activities planned. But it was PERFECT weather! Not too hot to go to walk to the beach and lay around the pool! So much room in the beautiful home for all of us to play with the kids, cook, and spend time with adults when we wanted. Duck was a treasure with the cutest places and friendliest people. The wild horses are a must see!

MI Spring Break 25'

The property was quite, with a short walk to the ocean. The managers of the property we're very easy to work with and they even opened the pool/hot tub early for us. The house was clean and well maintained. There was a minor set back with the cooling system but was fixed the next day. The house did lack screens in some windows and sliders but wasnt a huge issue. Overall we had a great time in the OBX!

Quiet Spring Break

We had a lovely time. The house was great for a small group of women. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach for long walks and the convenience of local shops and restaurants. The house was super clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Overall a great break from the cold North.

Perfect Retreat

The property is exactly as described and pictured. Easy 2 minute walk to beautiful beach. The trees around the pool make the outside areas really feel private. Loved everything and will definitely book again.

Wow!!

This has been the best place we have stayed at so far in the OBX. The location of this home is perfect, at the end of a very private cul-de-sac. Close to our favorite town of duck, and the amazing restaurants of Kitty Hawk. Super private property, really can’t see any neighbors at all. Our kids loved the pool and walking to the beach every night to hunt for crabs! Will definitely stay again here. The house was nicely decorated. Thanks for having us!

This property was a great find. Miranda was very informative, reliable, and super nice! The home is well equipped, clean, and offers a spacious layout, as well as being close to the beach! We enjoyed our time here and would rent again :) 10/10!

Restful OBX vacation

Comfortable home with great amenities made our first stay in OBX a pleasant one. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach (private path to Ocean Blvd. between 2 different public access points), and being so near to Duck and Kitty Hawk made for easy ventures out to eat or explore. Watching sunrises and sunsets from the deck was really special.

We both grew up vacationing in OBX with our families and always loved the area. After vacationing there together several times, we got engaged on the beach in Rodanthe in front of our family and friends. A year later, we purchased Willems Beach Club @ Avon and have rented it on VRBO for three years with many great reviews. We wanted a larger home a little closer to the mainland that could accommodate our large family, so we purchased Willems Beach Club @ Southern Shores in December, 2016. After watching many HGTV shows for inspiration and five months of renovation, we are thrilled with the results and hope our guests enjoy our modern "coastal cool" themed home!

We loved the privacy of our home and the great ocean views. We're at the end of a cul-de-sac and the lot next door is owned by the Civic Association and will remain undeveloped. Just 3 lots to the beach, its an easy walk down the private beach path that is shared by just five homes.
