Very well stocked with needs and entertainment items. Enjoyed lazy river boating and Lake Superior beach. Nice base for travel from west to east ends of the UP.

Clean and Comfortable East of Marquette

A pleasant stay in a cabin with room and character. Five adults were comfortable and another five could have joined us, no problem. Cabin was clean with interesting decor; about 10 miles east of Marquette in peaceful surroundings. Beautiful beach across the hwy. Aacross the hwy.

Summer Getaway

We had a great quick getaway. The kids loved kayaking in the river and the fires on the beach. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. If we return we will definitely stay here again.

The house was great. Great location!

Close to Marquette. Nice town and a lot of things to do around the area. The back porch area of the house was my favorite hang out. So beautiful and peaceful. We had a blast with the kayaks and the canoe on the river. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful location on a river and across the street from the lake. A nice location to explore the Lake Superior coastal area from. House was comfortable, equipped with everything you would need. We loved our stay here, just wish we had had more time.

Perfect!

Sandy calm beach right across the road. Good location between Munising and Marquette. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and all you would need to cook away from home. Handsoap, dish soap, paper towel, toilet paper and trash bags were a nice surprise, we have been to a few places without these provided. Cottage is comfortable and decorated with many interesting pieces. We enjoyed being close to the beach and walked over multiple times per day. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Setting

Great location!

Loved the location in the UP and nestled into the woods but a quick walk to Lake Superior. Beds very comfortable. Everything clean and ready. Easy in and out. Would love to visit with warmer weather to be able to sit outside and use the kayaks on the river. Delightful.

Wonderful vacation getaway

This is a lovely property with incredibly easy access to a beautiful and quiet Lake Superior beach. The home is clean, comfortable and well stocked with anything you might need. We had to cut our stay short so we couldn't take advantage of the river access behind the house, but it looked like a lovely place for a paddle. Annie and Paul made the process easy and provided everything we needed for a great vacation. Highly recommend!

Nice summer camp. Unfortunately it wasn’t summer and it was 40 degrees and rainy the whole time we were there and my couldn’t stand all the dusty clutter inside so it was tough to really enjoy to its full potential. Would highly recommend if the weather is good and the clutter was removed.

Great Marquette family vacation

Camp Luke Charles was a fantastic home for our family vacation. The location was perfect for our waterfall explorations in Munising and Marquette as well as our visit to Presque Isle Park for some cliff jumping into Lake Superior. The home was stocked with cookware, towels for both showering and Lake use, as well as spices, coffee maker etc. The best bonus was the walking g distance to a great beach for our kids to swim in the Lake and a great campfire spot. The owners were very responsive to any questions as well. Thank you to the Bishops for sharing Camp Luke Charles with us!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Located in the Red Pine forest on the bank of the Sand River. Surrounded by trees and set back from the road to offer a peaceful setting. The private sandy beach directly across our drive is several miles long and great for walks along the water, campfires, swimming and more. The Sand River is calm and surrounded by nature great for kayaking.

We are close to either Marquette or Munising which both offer many activities and shopping experiences.

Lakenenland Sculpture Park is a 1 1/2 miles toward Marquette (West) and a wonderful place to stop and visit.

Perfect for nature bathing. Easy Kayaking. Peaceful pine forest setting. Located between Marquette and Munising quick drive to either town.
