Extremely well positioned close to all amenities but in quiet residential area. The host was very accommodating and nithing was yoo much trouble. Lots of lovely extra touches making our stay perfect, including good quality bed linin and furnishings and a really well equipped kitchen. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend.

Terrific house, wonderful owners

We cannot say enough about this lovely house and the very caring, accessible owners! It’s very comfortable and convenient, with easy parking, charming garden and easy walk to everything. We had a medical emergency and the host went far above and beyond to assist. We hope to be back soon!!!

Beautiful house, perfect location!

We spent a very hot week at this lovely property, so the pool was a very welcome feature! The house itself is beautiful, furnishings all very stylish and the bed linen is amazing for a rental property. The location of the property is the icing on the cake, easy walk into Sarlat. Communication with the hosts, Paul & Leanne was excellent. We’d highly recommend this property!

Very comfortable, convenient and charming

La Maison Breuil is a fantasy house with parking out front, two showers and close to town. It is a great place to stay and a good home base for exploring. And a high speed internet connection with WiFi.

Great location for walking into Sarlat

The property is in a great location to walk into Sarlat with its many restaurants. After a day out exploring the area it was a pleasure to go back to the house that was exceptionally clean and had all the facilities we needed. In the evening it was great to relax drinking local wine on the terrace overlooking the boule pitches. The hosts were available via WhatsApp to answer any questions and gave suggestions on where to visit and eat.

Great house, lovely pool

The house is very close to Sarlat, literally a few minutes walk away The house had everything we needed and Paul & Leanne were lovely and always on hand if you need anything We particularly loved the pool and used it every afternoon after sightseeing Lots of lovely places to see in the area

Lovely home

We had a great stay in Sarlat. The home is as described in the listing. Sarlat is walkable from the house if so inclined. Paul was great at communicating throughout.

Precious house close to town

Paul was the most wonderful host! Very attentive and helpful in planning a magical experience in Sarlat! The house is charming full of character and grace. The gardens and pool are beautiful and made for the perfect back drop for dining. Highly recommend not only the house but such a wonderful host family!!!

Perfect house for exploring the Dordogne

We had a amazing holiday here. Leanne ad Paul take great pride in offering a well-equipped, clean and comfortable home. The gardens and pool are a lovely place to soak up some sun at the end of a day exploring the area. Sarlat old town is a pleasant 5 minute stroll and so many of the highlights of the Dordogne valley are within a 20 minute drive. We all had a fabulous time and thoroughly recommend the house.

Lovely historic property. We stayed for 5 nights. It is a great location for walking into the old city (5 minute walk) and a great base for visiting the Dordogne area. The kitchen was bright and well appointed and the living room comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are modern. It is cool to see door locks that are probably 100 years old. Regretfully it was too cold for us to enjoy the lovely outdoor seating areas. Geraldine was wonderful in answering all of our questions. Just a few things to note: the bedrooms are all up a beautiful staircase so you will be going up and down the stairs. Also, there is a washing machine but no dryer (there is a laundry in town about a 5 minute walk away.) There was a metal hanging rack which we used to dry our clothes. We would stay there again. Thank you!

Lovely house, great location.

The house is well equipped, beds and sofas very comfortable and the pool lovely to cool off in on the rare hot days we had! The plan for us was always to relax for two weeks, which we were able to do, particularly as the house was so nice. It is only a few minutes walk to the old town, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed watching the pétanque games from the front terrace with a glass of wine or a coffee, depending on the time of day. Paul and Leanne were very friendly and approachable if needed, and we would have no hesitation in recommending the house to anyone looking for a well placed and well maintained house in Sarlat.

A little oasis of calm

A lovely French house full of charm, and with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Great to have a pool, to dip into it was extremely hot. Location is superb only a short walk to the centre of sarlat. Communication with the host was excellent , a lovely couple. Please take up the restaurant recommendations they are spot on.

Lovely house in a great location

My wife and I stayed with our 3 adult sons. The house, garden and pool were all lovely. The top room which has an en-suite bathroom has very low doors which presented a minor hazard for our very tall sons. There are several outside seating areas where we ate some great meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, with ingredients from the local markets and shops. The house is within easy walking distance of all of the many attractions of Sarlat, where we enjoyed some excellent meals. There is very convenient private parking. All in all, highly recommended.

Sarlat

Great house , 5 mins walk from all facilities in Sarlat. Pool is a decent size for location of the house. Met all our needs for a week’s stay . If going back to Sarlat I would book again. One thing I would maybe change is the TV . The kids found it a little slow to get onto Netflix . It’s a minor issue though. Overall splendid place and perfect location.

A wonderful stay in Sarlat

This was one of the best holidays we have had in 30 years. The house was elegant, comfortable and very conveniently situated in Sarlat. It was so relaxing to be able to wander into the town, visit a few places, buy a few things to eat and return and sit in the garden. We had a Dordogne golf pass which gave us discount on any rounds after the first. We were sorry to leave and hope to return to this ideal holiday house.

Great house

Very well presented, clean ,fully equipped and a great pool. Also 5 to 10 mins walk from the mediaeval part of Sarlat. Our host, Paul, was really good and especially helpful before our holiday. The airport decided to rent out cars for about 1 hour per day. Now sorted and we picked up a car from the airport. He really went above and beyond to help. Well deserved 5 star

La Maison Breuil - great house, great location!

We found the property to be exactly as advertised on the website, and the new owners of the property (Paula and Stephen) to be extremely helpful. The house is less than a 10 minute walk from all of the action in the middle of Sarlat. The information packs (brochures etc) and welcome basket when we arrived were a nice touch - and the free Wi-Fi was perfect for keeping in touch with relatives back in Australia. The beds were very comforatble and the linen brand new. This house is a great place to base yourself in Sarlat!

Great spot to explore the Dordogne

It was a few mins walk to bakeries and onto the Old Town of Sarlat. It’s a beautiful area to explore. Our 20 something children could explore independently of us which was great. The property was nicely done. The top room has a low door and a velum window - but we weren’t inside much! We watched the locals playing pétanque each night with a sundowner on the front terrace. The host was great. Helped us with ideas for planning the trip. Would recommend.

Excellent

Everything good written about this property is true. One thing that stood out to us was that the owners were on call when we could not understand some appliance or any other matter. That is very important in renting a house in a foreign country. This is particularly important that they are English and we could converse with them easily. The garden and pool provided a wonderful repose when we were tired from traveling. We used Sarlat as a hub in a hub and spoke vacation of outstanding sights.

Cute little house.

Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, easy parking. We are in our 60’s, so it is a 12-15 minute walk into town. It would be a flat-out run to do it in 5 minutes! If I had read the description more carefully, I would have realized that the bathroom off the bedroom with the king is not available to the other couple in the room across the hall with the twin beds. They have to go upstairs to use the bathroom on the top floor.

Close to medieval center

Well-situated three-story house just a short distance from historic center. Comfortable but not cozy. Kitchen well-furnished. Sitting room lacked a few amenities ... like secure tables, cushions for feet, good TV, decorative touches. Bedrooms comfortable, towels & linens good, bathrooms fair. It was a hike upstairs to second shower-bath. Outside space looked good but we were there in rainy November so we really can’t judge. Paul was always helpful and responsive. Thanks to you both!

Perfect spot for a few days in Sarlat

We booked this place at the last minute due to change in holiday plans. Paul was really helpful in facilitating an early arrival as we were only coming from 10 miles away. Also very helpful, quick and proactive in responding to queries. The house is lovely, really well equipped kitchen, high quality and thoughtfully furnished for an easy stay. Beds, linen and towels top notch and luxurious! Bottle of rose on arrival was perfect and some basic condiments/oil in cupboards too. Pool in back garden makes most of the space and surprisingly private, lovely as it was very hot when we were there. Easy flat 10 min walk into Sarlat but house itself very quiet in peaceful residential area. Slept soundly! Particularly well thought out seating outside, watched pétanque tournament across the road from the front terrace, very relaxing. We visited the gardens at Erygnac and market at St Cyprien - both short journeys. Overall a perfect place for our needs - thanks Paul and Leanne
