Escape to this charming two-bedroom cottage nestled near the South Downs countryside. With its own sunken wood valley, orchard, tennis court, and expansive gardens creating an ideal setting for children to play and explore, it's perfect for families. This unique house offers privacy, surrounded by a large garden where you can truly relax and unwind. The entire property has received a fresh coat of paint and is adorned with captivating artwork on the walls.

Welcome to the inviting downstairs area, featuring a cosy living room with a charming cottage ambiance, complete with a generous open fire and complimentary firewood for your enjoyment. The dining area boasts a spacious wooden table and chairs, perfect for delightful family meals or engaging board game evenings. With three large windows offering picturesque views of the surrounding gardens, this room provides a bright and comfortable space. You'll have access to a diverse collection of books for your reading pleasure, along with a small smart TV for keeping up with your favourite shows and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The fully equipped galley kitchen is perfect for families who enjoy cooking their own meals, featuring an electric hob, oven, and dishwasher. Additionally, the cottage boasts a newly installed large bathroom with a spacious stand-in shower, sink, and toilet.

Upstairs, you'll find two spacious bedrooms, each boasting its own decorative fireplace and secondary glazing. The master bedroom offers a double bed and abundant natural light, along with a newly installed toilet room and sink. Meanwhile, the twin bedroom features two single beds and picturesque views of the surrounding fields and tennis court, flooding the room with ample natural light.

Recently installed central heating in the cottage ensures a cosy ambiance during the winter months.

The property boasts an inviting outbuilding in the garden, complete with a table tennis table, along with balls and rackets available for your enjoyment. While the tennis court may require resurfacing, it's perfect for a casual game, and we provide old rackets and balls for your use. If you're a serious player, feel free to bring your own equipment!

The real gem of the property is the expansive, open garden surrounding the cottage, featuring its own orchard. Guests are encouraged to help themselves to the fruit from the apple trees, while being mindful of others. In the garage, you'll find tables and chairs, as well as numerous seating areas throughout the property to savor those summer evenings and soak up the last few rays of sunshine. Additionally, the grounds include a captivating sunken wood area for exploration, but we kindly request that children be supervised due to a steep drop.

Please be aware that the property is situated near the A27 dual carriageway. While you may hear some noise from passing cars in the garden, rest assured that the noise is minimal when inside the cottage.

We absolutely love dogs and they are more than welcome to stay with us for free! We kindly ask that they refrain from getting on the furniture. To make their stay even more enjoyable, we provide complimentary dog treats, a water and food bowl, and fluffy towels to dry them off after a fun walk!

Long stays of up to 30 nights are very welcome – please contact us directly for details and prices.

Upon arrival, we provide a welcome hamper for our guests. The hamper includes milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cloths, hand wash, cooking spray, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid, washing up liquid, matches, kitchen roll, tissues, bin bags, pen, salt, pepper, fire lighters, and tinfoil. Additionally, the hamper contains some goodies such as wine, cookies, chocolates, and sweets. In the bathrooms, we provide shampoo and conditioner, and hand wash is available at each sink.

Experience ultimate convenience during your stay with our range of amenities for families. We offer a travel cot (please bring your own bedding) and a high chair, along with specially curated baby packs for 0-2 year olds and toddler packs for 2-4 year olds. To ensure availability, please request these items in advance for short stays. Rest assured that all items will be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between each use, providing a safe and comfortable experience for you and your little ones. All items are to be left in the property at the end of your stay.

There is an out building in the garden which has a table tennis table with balls and rackets available.

The tennis court is in need of resurfacing however it is great for a knock around - old rackets are available and balls however if you are a keen player please bring your own equipment.

The large, open garden which wraps around the cottage is what really makes this property. It has its own orchard and we welcome guests to help themselves to the fruit from the apple trees whilst being considerate to other guests.
In the garage are tables and chairs and there are plenty of seating areas to enjoy those summer evenings and catch the last few rays of sunshine.
The grounds also include a sunken wood where you can explore but please ensure children are supervised as there is a steep drop.

An amazing cottage and grounds.

We absolutely loved staying at the Dingle. It oozes character and charm that you would not find at many modern property. Great communication from the agents as well. Only negatives we found was that the shower in the bathroom was very small, my partner could not get into the cubicle and close the doors which was a bit inconvenient. The noise from the A27 is quite loud when you are in the garden, putting those bits aside the fantastic location made up for these issues. So would definitely recommend .

enjoyable stay

The Dingle is an old cottage and it did smell musty however, once we were in and out this faded. Every effort had been made to make it welcoming with a large basket of essentials and even dog treats, and milk tea and coffee in the kitchen. The A27 runs directly behind the cottage so open windows - noise. The grounds are large and flat but not secure for dogs,I used my mobility scooter with my service dog on lead, however the tennis court was a massive bonus for poochy tennis!!! Situated with lots of local attractions for a holiday, we had come for a wedding so only spent three nights, it was worth the money. Thank you.

Two adults and one dog’s opinion.

Cottage was comfortable and had welcoming touches like dog bowl and treats for our setter. Grounds had wonderful rambling woodland hime to a bird of prey who swooping over at dusk. Whilst the house itself was close to the main road you couldn’t hear the traffic noise inside the house. We loved our stay.

Cosy cottage

Description was very accurate. Property was exactly what you’d expect from one as old as this. Clean and cosy. Tennis court a great bonus to keep kids occupied. Probably better for a couple or family of three but we’d definitely come again.
