The Cart Lodge is a separate self-contained former cart lodge and store in the grounds of Grove Barn all set in private gardens in quiet Suffolk countryside. The red brick and oak framed structure with lapped wood cladding was constructed in 1873. The newly refitted, fully equipped, first floor apartment is accessed via an external stair from ground level. There is ample parking for two cars and a reserved garden area with garden table and BBQ.
The apartment has a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area, two double bedrooms and a shower/wetroom. All rooms, with garden views, are under a pitched roof dramatically increasing the sense of space, oak cross beams add to the historic background. There is underfloor heating throughout plus: TV, wi-fi, washer/dryer, ironing board/iron, etc.
The owners live adjacent to the Cart Lodge at Grove Barn, a mid 18th century oak framed conversion. You will have complete privacy but the owners will normally be at hand for an introductory tour or, if not, will give advice for key access. Guidance notes for the use of the apartment and local interest, places to visit, etc. are provided.
