Holt itself has a very unique high street packed with great cafés, pubs and restaurants which are perfect for a spot of lunch, dinner, or simply people watching. It also has an array of artisan shops which are great for browsing or just pottering around. The locals will tell you that this pretty Georgian town is a year-round favourite but many make a special trip to it coming up to Christmas when it is adorned with twinkling white fairy lights.

Close by lies Blakeney Quay, a picturesque spot that is perfect for crabbing. Or head to the bustling market towns of Sheringham and Cromer, the latter of which has a much-celebrated Edwardian seafront, a pier and Amazonia Zoo. In fact, this part of Norfolk is packed with interesting coastal habitats including salt marshes, quays and a selection of sand and shingle beaches.
