LITTLE PENTHOUSE

This small attic, located on the fourth floor (without elevator) of a traditional building from the beginning of the last century, is located 100 meters from the famous Plaza de la Virgen, behind the ancient tower of Serrano (whose views can be appreciated from the balcony behind the building), in a typical and quiet street in the Valencia city center, near the ring road that surrounds the famous river, the dredged river, now a public park with all sports facilities, which runs through the town until you reach the city the arts and sciences, wonderful example of modern architecture by the architect Calatrava and home to one of the largest aquariums in Europe. From the house you can walk to the river just (150 meters), the Serrano Tower (150 meters), the Plaza de la Virgen (300 meters), the Cathedral (500 meters), the Plaza de la Reina (500 meters) , the Mercado central (900 meters), the metro colon (1 km), where pass lines with direct connections leading to the airport in 15-20 minutes. The house measures si about 65 square meters, plus 40 square meters of a beautiful and large private terraces with views of the steeple of the central church of San Lorenzo. It was completely renovated in 2016, with a renovation that wanted to preserve the original style of the apartment and has equipped the space with all the necessary comfort for everyday life. The owner, passionate about photography and interior decoration, has chosen a modern style for the furniture and the decoration of spaces.

Inside, the house is divided into very functional way, is filled with natural light from the large window wall giving access to the terrace, and offers traditional decorative elements, such as carpet of ancient hand-painted tiles in the middle of the living area , the design of which is also reflected in the floor in the kitchen.



THE LIVING

The dining room has wonderful and original coffered ceilings, fully restored, with old beams structure, which gives the place an atmosphere of quiet elegance and charm. It is furnished with a modern fabric sofa, a circular dining table in crystal that is home to four / five people, with 4 white chairs in modern style, and is equipped with air conditioning and flat-screen TVs. The wooden steps that allow the exit on the terrace offer a further possibility of sitting. The floors are traditional dark wooden floors throughout the house and offer, to contrast with the white walls, a sense of warm welcome, recalling the older tradition, albeit in a house equipped with all the necessary comforts of modern life.



KITCHEN: The kitchen is located in an autonomous space, which overlooks the living room. Also completely renovated, it has a floor made with ancient hand-painted tiles with geometric designs, a dark marble top and is equipped with fridge, stove, microwave and 4 hob induction. Light is provided by a ceiling light made of stained glass and fused with lead, according to an ancient Spanish manufacturing. Wide range of dishes, glasses, cutlery, kitchenware, cookware and small appliances.



MASTER BEDROOM (two places - double bed): The master bedroom, overlooking a private balcony, which in turn opens onto a quiet and bright interior courtyard, and from which, by going through a large glass door, you can appreciate the view of the Serrano Tower. Equipped with a bathroom inside, air conditioning, LED lights behind the bed in addition to the normal ambient lighting, large closet, bedside tables and shelves to store books and personal items.



BATHROOM: entirely new, with access to the inside of the master bedroom, finished in natural stone, with a large shower, toilet, sink and hair dryer.



BEDROOM GUEST (double bed places). This room also overlooks the small, private balcony with views of Torre Serrano, in the same courtyard which overlooks the master bedroom, with a large double door window, it is equipped with air conditioning, custom closet, LED lights over the bed, small library of masonry to store personal items and wood floors.



BATHROOM: The guest bathroom overlooks the living room, is completely renovated also in a natural stone in warm shades of beige, with a large shower, toilet and sink.



TERRACE: a pleasant outdoor area with a masonry bench custom built on the right side, a large table to eat that hosts six people with six chairs, shaded by a white tent also on the sides, and a relaxation area with sofa, two armchairs and coffee table. This area, bathed in light from sunrise to sunset, usable throughout the year, is an ideal place to relax, have breakfast, eat, relax reading a good book or have a glass of wine having a chat in the evening.





The house is tastefully decorated with modern items, photographic reproductions of pictures from the collection of the owners, modern lights and extent of any room and a kitchen equipped with pots, dishes and all the small appliances (toaster, kettle ...) that make nice the holiday, allowing guests to live as if they were at home.



The apartment is very quiet, bright and located in a central location, close to the nightlife of Valencia, but at the same time protected from the noise and hassles of the night life. The location is ideal for those who want to make cultural tourism, being able to walk to reach the main monuments of the city, and for those wishing to combine the Valencia visit with sports activities, finding the apartment a stone's throw from the famous dredged river, park hours public citizen, an extensive range of sports facilities where training in the shade of the trees, in the cool of the city's green areas. Across the river you can get there by bicycle to the famous City of Arts and Sciences, a magical place to enjoy the famous futuristic architecture architect Calatrava and where to visit one of the largest aquariums in Europe and a science museum to size of adults and children alike . Bicycle parking that the city makes available to citizens and tourists (Valenbisi) is right behind the house, about 50 meters.



While building does not have an elevator, the steps are low rising and this 4th floor walk-up feels like a 3rd floor.

Situated in the most elegant quarter of Valencia’s Historic Center, La Seu, just steps from the famous landmark Torres de Serrano, a mere 200 meters from the Plaza of the Virgin and the bustling Carmen neighborhood, (the center of Valencia’s night life), and just steps away from the lovely Rio Park, a dried river turned into a lush public park with sports facilities that winds around the historic center down to Calatrava’s modern architectural marvel, the City of Arts and Sciences.



The apartment is also a pleasant 10 minute through Valencia’s most renowned shopping district to the Colon Metro station with connections directly to the airport, (25min. to airport)

Lovely apartment to explore Valencia from

We had some great days in Valencia based in this apartment, two adults and two teenage kids. It is compact but extremely well planned with two complete bathrooms. As it is located on the fourth floor with no elevator it is recommended that all in your company are reasonably fit :)
