A villa of contrasts - not new as described yet we would return

We chose this villa because it was described as brand new - it was not new and had been let out for at least 2 yrs previously. This was evident in the grubby finishes in some parts of the villa and especially with the stained recliner beds and outdoor cushions. The wear and tear was evident elsewhere - eg. On the jacuzzi bath, electrical fittings and on the upper terrace. Yet, in contrast the appliances in the kitchen were Bosch and of good quality but there was no cafetière as promised and there were no cleaning products. The outside barbecue was in an appalling state and we refused to use it. To be fair the agent’s representative tried to address some of the issues but it was clear overall that the villa was not as described. Again, to be fair the views from the middle and upper terraces were unbeatable. On our first night, there was a tremendous thunderstorm and water leaked through the roof of the 3rd bedroom as well as on to the upper landing. As the villa was not booked after us the agent kindly let us stay until 1700 on our last day.
