Superb Rural property for 6 with Private Heated Swimming Pool

This beautiful traditional Charentais farmhouse was build around the mid 1800’s and was originally used as a farm for chickens and turkeys, in the early 1990’s it was then sold to an English gentleman who renovated the farm to become his home, he built an extension that has now become the holiday home /gite.
There are only 4 properties in the hamlet, that is well away from the main road and surrounded by the beautiful French countryside.
The grounds surround the whole house and is divided off for privacy for guests, although the hosts This beautiful traditional live on the property they cannot be seen and the gite garden is completely enclosed and very large.
There is also a fenced off pond for safety with seating area to view, and waterfall. The pond has koi Karp and goldfish these fish are our pets .

Security Deposit: A €300 security deposit is required on arrival in cash.
The deposit will be returned on the day of departure after a property inspection has been carried out providing there has been no breakages.

Complete holiday

We had a delightful time with our family of 5, we enjoyed the pool, the garden, patio and pingpong table, we had everything we need and the host was very helpful and thoughtful. We will visit again!

Amazing

Firstly I would like to thank Liz and Bones for making us feel so welcome. Everything you need for a week or two away is supplied. The Gite was clean and garden was beautiful, the heated pool was just what was need after exploring the local villages. The only negative comment would be we didn’t want to leave. We would definitely return and will recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

The best gite we have ever visited

This is a beautiful gite in rural Charente-Maritime. It's close to some really pretty towns and to a number of excellent swimming lakes. We are family of six (grandparents, parents, two children) and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all of us. It's really child-friendly with exclusive use of the pool, ping-pong table and a wide variety of games and toys. Everything in the gite is of really high quality (towels, linen etc) and the kitchen is well laid out with a wide range of crockery, cooking utensils, glasses etc. This is a gite in which you really can cook easily for a large family. Everything you need is there. Liz made all the arrangements which were clear and simple. She and Bones were welcoming and friendly throughout. We have been staying in gites for over 20 years and have never before stayed in one so beautiful and so well-equipped. We all loved it.

superbe endroit

superbe séjour dans cette belle location, paisible. Parfait pour le repos et la tranquillité. la piscine chauffée TOP. et maison tout confort. Propriétaire très gentil et discret. Il ne faut pas hésiter à profiter de cette location

Merveilleux !

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans la maison de Liz! La maison est très propre et très bien équipée. Le jardin est un havre de paix. Et l'accueil de Liz a été adorable. Bref nous reviendrons très certainement.

Très bon séjour à Bran

Très bon séjour passé chez Liz et Bones. Bel accueil chaleureux. Merci à eux. La location est très propre, très fonctionnelle et bien équipée (plats, casserole, parasol, BBQ, transat, chaise longue, table de ping pong) et les lits sont tous excellents. La piscine est parfaite. Une location que je recommande. Merci encore Alexandra

Un gîte à recommander

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine dans ce très beau gîte, très très bien équipé, que ce soit dans la cuisine ou la salle de bain, pour français ou britannique. La piscine est chauffée à 29°C, ce qui nous permettait de sauter dedans facilement. La literie a satisfait tout le monde, ainsi que la très bonne connexion internet (2 ados et leurs parents). Nous avons profité de Netflix et du bouquet de chaînes britanniques gratuits. Des jeux étaient à notre disposition (ping-pong, ballons, panier de basket, bouées). Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et attentionnés, souriants. Nous avons même trouvé des petits cadeaux à notre arrivée. C'est une adresse à recommander dans la région. Un grand merci à Liz et Alan pour leur accueil.

Séjour reposant

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le gîte de Liz et Alan. La maison est décorée à l anglaise. Le jardin, grand et parfaitement entretenu, est un véritable havre de paix pour tous ceux qui souhaitent se reposer et se ressourcer. La piscine, un vrai régal!!! Encore merci pour cette magnifique semaine Liz et Alan!!!

Notre séjour s’est merveilleusement passé dans un cadre très agréable. L’extérieur est merveilleux surtout avec le soleil de notre semaine. Un grand merci à Liz et Bones qui sont aux petits soins pour passer un séjour des plus agréables. C’était parfait!

Perfekter, erholsamer Urlaub

Wir hatten als Familie mit zwei Kindern (5 und 7 Jahre) einen wunderbaren, ruhigen Urlaub. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und man bekommt sogar ein kleines Begrüßungsgeschenk in Form von Wein und Käse. Der Pool ist beheizt und absolut sauber. Die Vermieter Liz und Bones wohnen im anliegenden Haus, allerdings gewähren sie absolute Privatsphäre. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und wunderschön. Für einen Erholungsurlaub ohne viel Action drumherum genau richtig. Ein Auto sollte man zur Verfügung haben, der nächste Intermarché ist ca 10 Minuten entfernt. Die Kinder waren hellauf begeistert von den ganzen Spielmöglichkeiten, die zur Verfügung und hatten viel Spaß mit den hofeigenen Katzen sowie der täglichen Fütterung der Fische. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
