A tastefully restored apartment with 2 double bedrooms and sun terrace. Flexible accommodation for couples or families.
The living area has a generous kitchen and dining area with all you need to dine in style. With many original features blended in for modern comfort.
Comfortable sofa with French TV available music centre (with i-Pod docking station), DVD player, books, magazines and games. Can sit in the living area or on the sun terrace to overlook the St Vincent Cathedral.

Bedrooms:You have a choice of four poster double bedroom or a therapeutic remote control double bed (which can be separated to two singles). Both bedrooms are light and airy with many original features with a real french ambience. Each bedroom has ample storage with luxury bedding with dressing tables and hairdryers.

Bathroom: A luxurious double walk in shower complete with body-jets and overhead sprays.
Sleeps 4-6 with convertible sofa bed.

We enjoyed our stay, it was close to the train and bus station which made it easy to access. The deck uptop was lovely. It was a close walk to the walled city and restaurants were close by.

Excellent location in a beautiful old building. The terrace is up a floor which is a tight turn if you have mobility problems. It is a good base and comfortable place to stay.

A lovely, cosy little oasis hidden in the back streets of the town, but just a 5 min walk to the heart of Bastide Saint Louis, and only 20 mins walk to the medieval Cite. Rooms nicely decorated, apartment very clean and well kept, kitchen well supplied, and with an excellent shower! Two supermarkets within 5 mins walk too, which we found very helpful. Recommended.

The apartment met our needs and is in a great location. The castle is a 'must see' and there are some excellent restaurants all within walking distance.

Great location, great located

We spent here 3 nights for visiting the Tour de France
The cozy and well equipped apartment with covered roof terrace is great located, just few meters to the finishline and few meters to anything else!Even for three nights we recived a welcome wine bottle and basic items as coffee, sugar, oil etc. were also provided.Thanks Richard!

Carcassonne apartment

The apartment was in a very good central location for sightseeing, it included everything we needed for a holiday, and was very clean and tidy on arrival. An added benefit was that Raymond the owner picked us up from the airport and gave us a short but informative tour.

Lovely big apartment in a well renovated historic house. Had everything necessary plus a balcony which looks onto trees and a belltower. Great location for all of Carcassonne. Close to the canal and station. Airport pick up by the owner was a nice extra!

Great location. Wonderful church bells.

The location of the apartment was perfect for exploring the area. Walking distance to the train station, even with suitcases. Spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. We took a local bus to a most enjoyable lunch at a nearby town. The English language tour of the Medieval City was essential to understand its rich, layered history. We had come from Toulouse by train and then left in the other direction for Paris via the regional and fast trains - direct to CDG.

Lovely week in Carcassonne

Just returned from a very enjoyable week's stay in this lovely accommodation. In an excellent location within the lower town of Carcassonne, the apartment was quiet, secure, spacious, rustic, very clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. Ten minutes walk from the main square, the apartment is very close to supermarkets, shops and restaurants. In the other direction, the flat is a ten minutes walk to the station and bus stops (for the Cité Médiévale although this is also walkable). I would also highly recommend using the proximity to the station to do day trips to Toulouse, Perpignan or Montpellier. The apartment also had a private terrace with lovely views of the old cathedral and made for a great place to unwind with a local bottle of wine of an evening. Richard was an excellent host and very easy to make contact with before and during our stay. Ceiling fans would be a good investment for those hot summer nights. 10/10 and I would highly recommend booking this place to stay. Thank you Richard and Helen.

Emplacement bruyant, impossibilité de dormir la nuit

Il y a aucune luminositĂ© dans la piĂšce principale, les fenĂȘtres sont trop hautes (impossibilitĂ© de regarder par la fenĂȘtre), environnement trop bruyant. En ce qui concerne la terrasse elle ne fait pas partie du logement. Nous devons monter un Ă©tage. De plus elle est commune aux 2 appartements, ce qui n'Ă©tait pas prĂ©cisĂ© sur le site. Il manquait le fer Ă  repasser, la pomme de douche Ă©tait peu solide, il n'y avait pas d'Ă©ponge pour laver la vaisselle, les oreillers n'Ă©taient pas assez ferme. Puis il Ă©tait notĂ© qu'il y avait un parking sur l'annonce. Du coup nous avons dĂ» nous garer plus loin, sauf que la voiture en a fait les frais... Cordialement,

Un apartamento ideal para visitar Carcassonne y alrededores

El apartamento estĂĄ muy bien situado para visitar toda la ciuidad de Carcassonne andando. Raymond dues muy amable y hospitalario y nos explicĂł cosas que ver en Carcassonne. Las camas son muy cĂłmodas y la ducha estĂĄ muy bien. La terraza del apartamento es muy acogedora y se estĂĄ super bien cenando. El apartamento no tiene aparcamiento pero se puede aparcar muy cerca.

Fascinating

Property was clean and very authentic. Fans were needed as very hot in apartment . The hosts very friendly and could call them anytime but did not need to. Terrace was also welcomed and sat up there for breakfast . Al in all a fantastic week . Janet and Christine

Beautiful!!

We loved this spot. Near the center of town and a lovely walk to the castle. Quiet street and we had the warmest welcome by Raymond and his wife! Delightful!!!! We could have stayed a week easily.

After holidaying in the area for many years, we decided that the laid back French way of life was definitely for us. We came across the property a few years ago. It was in a terrible, run-down state and we have worked hard to lovingly restore this property to its former glory. We hope our guests enjoy the area and that they appreciate the hard work we have put in to restore this charming 16th Century house and retaining most of the original features.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We loved the fact that the property was right in the heart of Carcassonne, with all the amazing shops, restaurants and cafes on our doorstep.
We love spending weekends down on the Mediterranean which is just 45 minutes away.
There are many lovely villages to explore nearby, especially the famous book village, Montolieu and Saissac with its amazing Chateau.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We spent a lot of time making sure that the property retained its original features but also had all modern facilities.
The lovely terrace is perfect to enjoy a glass of wine or simply enjoy the views of St.Vincent Cathedral. It is very rare to get outdoor space in the heart of Carcassonne and that is one of the reasons that we were attracted to this property.
La Cite is just a 15 minute walk away, and there are so many restaurants and shops to explore nearby. Place Carnot is particularly nice to sit and enjoy a drink and watch the locals going about their business.
