La Pagliera di Badia a Passignano offers the perfect couples retreat in a Tuscan villa immersed in the Chianti countryside. Its idyllically located by the Badia a Passignano, the abbey not only has a 1000 year history but its surrounding stone structures offer restaurants and bars. The villa was once the hay barn of a watchtower where the current owners live.
The surrounding scenic landscapes produce excellent wine and distinguished extra virgin olive oil. If you explore the dense clusters of ancient trees in the woods beyond youâll discover that fallow deer, hares, wild boars and pheasants run freely here.
This is a Tuscan villa to escape to when you want to escape from it all. It has one beautiful double bedroom, an elegant open plan living room, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. You can enjoy al fresco meals on the patio that sits next to the vegetable garden. Here a dining table overlooks the Tuscan hills. A path across the courtyard leads to the pool garden which is private for guests of La Pagliera di Badia a Passignano and has a covered external lounge, should you need to take a refreshing dip.
Thereâs plenty to explore beyond the natural delights on your doorstep. The villaâs views encompass the spectacular Chianti area where you'll discover Panzano, Greve in Chianti and the dual carriageway to Siena and Florence is within easy reach.
