This is the most special place I’ve ever been. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself it’s stunning but the outside terrace and pool area is a dream. I will absolutely come back here again if I get the chance. The host was very helpful, communicative and kind.

Es war fantastisch! Die Kommunikation und Organisation war super und problemlos, die Ferienwohnung geschmackvoll typisch-toskanisch und das GelĂ€nde wirklich toll. Der Ausblick ist absolut Postkartenreif.Greve selbst ist schnell erreicht und ein netter Ort, mit schönem Markplatz, Restaurants, Shops, etc.Die Lage der Wohnung ist super um diverse TagesausflĂŒge in verschiedene tolle StĂ€dte wie Siena, Florenz, innerhalb von 1-1,5h zu unternehmen.Wir sind total zufrieden und können einen Aufenthalt bei Babette wĂ€rmstens empfehlen!

Great location in the heart Chianti. The host was very welcoming and the apartment was perfect. very comfortable bed and very quiet location. Nice terrace and pool but unfortunately the weather wasnt warm enough for us to enjoy the pool. There is a dirt road to get to the apartment but very easy to navigate so dont be worried about it. Thank you Babette, we hope to have the pleasure of going back sometime.

Die scuderia Ist ein integraler Bestandteil eines wunderschönen HĂ€userensembles oberhalb von Greve in Chianti. Die Anfahrt ĂŒber eine in weiten Teilen Schotterstrasse ist staubig. Die Lage am Zielort entschĂ€digt dafĂŒr umso mehr. Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön eingerichtet und herrlich kĂŒhl. Die Gastgeberin Babette und auch ihr Mann sind warmherzige Menschen, die uns in unserer Aufenthaltswoche herzlich begegnet sind. Die Krönung war die Erlaubnis, den Pool nutzen zu dĂŒrfen. Danke fĂŒr die schöne Zeit!

Sehr schönes Anwesen mit ĂŒberwĂ€ltigendem Weitblick

Wir haben die Gegend erkundet, waren wandern und Vino/Olio probiert. Von der Terrasse blickt man weit ĂŒber das Chianti.Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich, zwar nur 2,2 km lang, aber teilweise unbefestigt und steil.

Toscane merveilleuse

C'etait au mois d'avril avec une meteo mediocre... peu aprÚs le débordement de l'Arno.La position entre Florence et Sienne permet de visiter toute la région.Appartement trÚs bien decoré mais le soleil était parti en vacances ailleurs: cela n'a pas empéché un séjour trÚs agréable avec un trÚs bon accueil.

Wonderful authentic Tuscan experience

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The property is clean, filled with everything you need, beautifully furnished, and truly a fantastic house. The host is helpful and responds quickly to any issues. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Little slice of heaven!

This little slice of heaven was just perfect! It was very spacious and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal
and lots of fun dishes to serve it in! The location is very remote
.you do have to drive up a very steep dirt road. We enjoyed the day in Greve and also drove to San Gimignano, which was about an hour away.

Toskana Urlaub

Nach einer abenteuerlichen Anreise, auf die man aber vorbereitet wird, sind wir in einer wunderschönen Ferienwohnung, wo jedes Detail liebevoll eingerichtet ist angekommen. Wir sind von sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermietern, die uns sehr geholfen haben, empfangen worden. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

A hidden gem

Wow! What an amazing place. Every bit as much as we needed. Quaint, clean, out of the way. It is in a very small village away from Greve. Babette was a wonderful host and made us a wine tasting reservation. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We cooked almost ever night I highly recommend this property, but know that it is in a remote area few minutes away from town Thank you Babette

The view is stunning and a perfect location to use as home base to explore wineries in this part of Tuscany. FYI You need to book appointment for wine tasting . WE. Found this out the hard way Its a little piece of paradise. It was not easy to find so make sure you arrive during day light hours .Its about 2.5 KM up a dirt road with no address. The key was not where we were told it would be so that caused us a little stress after a long day of travel. There is a coop store for groceries in town but beware they are closed on Sunday and there is no other place in Greve to get groceries. If you arrive late on a Sunday just come prepared. Thank goodness the owner of the restaurant LaCantina took very good care of us. He send us to the villa with food and wine This restaurant is a must when visiting this area. Staff and owner are amazing the food is so good. The bathroom does have a nasty sewer smell.I did mention this to the owner and she told us how to fix it. It never really did go away but was not as strong. The place was very clean. The bed was very comfortable but no top sheet. You are pretty much on you own when staying at this location. The owner does live in the complex but was a way during our stay. Her son was helpful in locating the key after calling the owner. Bring bug spray if you plan to use the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view that comes with this unit. The open air windows have no screens so bugs can be a bit of a problem.

Beautiful setting

Scuderia was a very pleasant spacious apartment. The view from terrace patio was spectacular overlooking the Chianti hills from a high vantage point. The only thing we did not like was the 2 km rough dirt road that climbs to Ruffoli.

Beautiful and spacious

This apartment we wanted quietness and views. The apartment delivered with views of the rolling hills and panoramic terrace to have coffee to enjoy it. This apartment was hug for just the 2 of us and the location a bit remote- just remember to get food/supplies before you go. But, it is as we wanted with being in the country. We only booked for 2 nights and next time would do longer. Very clean and all supplies needed were available from towels to wi-fi to kitchen supplies. We would recommend this to everyone!

Lovely but Remote

We arrived in Greve with the help of Google Maps and when we were looking at a dirt road in front of us I thought the app had made a mistake. It didn’t. This property is located on top of a mountain which is serviced by a very narrow, rough 2.2 km dirt road for most of the way. Once at the property the view is incredible. You look out over the valley of miles of grapes and olive trees. We stayed for five days and found it adequate for our needs. I was a bit disappointed that the VRBO site showed a flowered patio with a couple chairs that had a beautiful view of the valley below which wasn’t available to us and was locked. We used the apartment as a jumping off point for visiting various places in Tuscany. Because of the drive, we’d leave in the morning, head to the piazza for breakfast and not return until night. There was little or no contact with people, including the owners, while at this property which was a bit disappointing for us since we are people persons. After all is said and done we enjoyed our stay.

Toskana Traumurlaub

Wir waren zwei Wochen in der Wohnung, die sehr stilvoll und praktisch eingerichtet ist und alles, was man braucht, in FĂŒlle hat. Die Matratze ist sehr gut; das Bett ist mit mit einem Moskitonetz ausgestattet, was notwendig ist, weil es recht viele MĂŒcken gibt. Babette ist eine sehr zugewandte und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin und hilft bei kleinen oder großen Nöten. Unser Hund war auch willkommen. Die Terrasse hat einen wunderbaren Panoramablick auf die HĂŒgellandschaft bis nach Florenz. Von Ruffoli aus kann man viele Ziele der Toskana gut erreichen. Uns fehlte zum vollkommenen GlĂŒck nur gelegentlich ein Pool (wir wussten natĂŒrlich, dass keiner vorhanden ist) ; der wird wohl bald kommen. Dann ist alles perfekt. Wir kommen wieder.

Hard to find and no one to greet us.

We had a hard time finding the house and no one was present to show us where to go. We ended up in the wrong room and had to move late in the evening. We had no information about our unit or the surrounding area until 2 days later. No AC during the hottest time of year and the mosquitos prevented us from opening the windows.

Über die sympathische Gastgeberin und die stilsichere und wo notwendig moderne Ausstattung des Hauses ist bereits alles gesagt worden. Alles Sehenswertes zwischen Florenz und Siena ist in TagesausflĂŒgen erreichbar; RĂŒckkehr wie ins Paradies. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist berauschend, der winzige Ort eine Perle. Alle notwendigen Besorgungen in Greve (4 km) möglich.

Wonderful experience in Ruffoli, Greve in Chianti, Italy

Charming, comfortable, clean, wonderful hostess and family describes our experience in the Scuderia cottage. The view overlooking the Chianti valley is spectacular and we saw some beautiful sunsets. The cottage was tastefully and artistically decorated and fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, dinnerware, and linens. Altogether it was a fantastic stay!
