Chill stay a bit away from historic district

We had a lovely time at this apartment. It is on the first floor and had a lovely walk out porch. It is not in the crazy busy part of town so during the peak of tourist season its not crazy here but you still have good access to the bus system. Bus stop is just around the corner or down the street, Because it was on the first floor (and it was early May, so the building didn't have the heat turned on) it stayed COLD in the apartment even when it was 80F outside. Sometimes at night we wished we could have turned on the heat because it was so cold. Also, there were no dish towels or dish sponge for the kitchen. Something that was inconvenient was that the bathroom vent wasn't working so during a shower the only vent was a window into bedroom. A little annoying if you leave it open all the time and smell the bathroom from the bedroom. There is a really friendly neighbor cat that will come to the porch and windows whenever you open them. Super sweet but he will also try to get into the apartment if you leave the window open. Property manager was really responsive about the shower not draining well and it should be fixed now. Overall, pretty happy with this reservation and would book it again.

Oct in Rome

Good location -- 15 min walk to Metro. Quiet neighborhood. Grocery stores, pasty & gelato shops and resturants nearby. Only disappointment was that there was no clothes dryer, but we got along OK with drying racks. Heads up for Americans: European coffee pots are a little small!!!

NIce place

This is a nice place to stay. A wonderful terrace expands the space wonderfully, and the couch actually works great as an extra bed. It's further from the historical places in Rome, but you can walk to the Colosseum in about 35-40 min. The food scene is harder to find here, but there are some excellent ones once you find them. The nearby Indian Restaurant is fabulous, and there is another spectacular inexpensive gourmet Italian Restaurant around the block. We did not get into the nearby Tai restaurant, but it was filled with Tia locals every time we tried and we could not get a seat, so I expect it is good. You might get in with a reservation or early dinner. The hosts and their help are very responsive and supportive.
