Healdsburg Shot gun home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property Needs a bit of work . Was comfortable for my wife & myself . Would have been uncomfortable for another couple . Bedrooms are extremely small . Shower was so small hard for me to fit . Main bathroom lacked hot water . It’s a small 3 bedroom home that they have taken in the garage . The main part of the house was very livable. The master was so small they’re wasn’t even a closet . This place would be great for a small family , but awkward for another couple . Possibly a bunch of family . The outside is the real value as well as the proximity to downtown Healdsberg . Main bathroom is not connected to the master . Place certainly grew on us .

Lovely New Year's Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic location minutes from the heart of Healdsburg! Easy check in and out, great communication with host, and well appointed and clean home on spacious property. We were here during a rainy New Year's week and were content to stay cozy indoors, but a summer time rental would be amazing with the pool, fire pit, and bocce ball court.

**Very Disappointing Experience — Would Not Recommend**Unfortunately, our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. The home was dirty and showed significant deferred maintenance. The problems started upon arrival. The gate lights were broken, and the wall was damaged and in disrepair. Upon entering, there was an extremely strong chemical cleaning smell that was overwhelming and took nearly two days to dissipate. Despite the smell, the house itself was not clean. The windows were extremely dirty and appeared not to have been cleaned in a very long time. The pool furniture was old, dirty, and in poor condition. The pool cover did not work, leaving the pool freezing cold and essentially unusable. We were also never given advance notice that pool maintenance and landscaping crews would be coming onto the property while we were staying there. This was unexpected and disruptive. The **worst part, however, has been the handling of our security deposit**. It has now been a month since I requested its return, with no response. I ultimately had to contact VRBO to escalate the issue. When I called, I was told, **“The check is in the mail.”** Totally false.Based on the condition of the property, lack of communication, and especially the unacceptable handling of our security deposit, **I strongly recommend avoiding this property. I would never rent it again.**Do not rent from Birdsong Properties in Healdsburg.

Amazing Property

We had an amazing time celebrating my wife’s birthday. It exceeded our expectations. It was a peaceful stay. We enjoyed the amenities from the pool to the hot tub to playing bocce ball. Loved the layout of the property as well, from hanging outside on the deck bbq’ing to lounging inside. Highly recomed this property!

Mixed Bag

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pool, hot tub, and outdoor spaces are great. But there is a consistent and loud hum of traffic noise from 101 and Alexander Valley Road -- don't expect peace, quiet, and tranquility. Also the bedrooms are VERY small, and with nearly no drawers to store clothes.

Great outdoor space!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outdoor space is exactly as it looks- amazing. The location is great- just outside of Healdsburg and very near to many vineyards. The layout of the house is good, nice kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. My only complaint is that the house is missing a lot of little things- for example there are no shelves or drawers in any of the bedrooms. There were about 5 clothes hangers in each bedroom. The showers are just ok with funky shower heads. The pillows suck. For about $2000 the owners can make this a truly comfortable house just by adding a few small amenities. Overall though I did quite like this house and the amazing outdoor space would bring me back.

Lovely House & Property with so much seating!!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very nicely arranged with SO MUCH SEATING indoor and outdoor. Lovely place for a group to gather and cook and spend time. The BBQ and outdoor tables are great, and the kitchen is open and great for entertaining. Would highly recommend a stay here. There's also a pickleball and basketball court! The management company was professional, once I got ahold of them. At first it took a couple weeks to get a response and the phone number was for a voicemail box that was not checked. I was worried this was a scam until Shante reached out and was super great to work with. For future reference, use the emergency line to reach a person instead of the unchecked voicemail answering machine.

Great house, great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was immaculate, the location was great ...just a few minutes from downtown Healdsburg which has great shops and restaurants. The house is well maintained and comfortable, we appreciated that it offered items like a portable bluetooth speaker and beach towels, which we were unable to travel with. The grounds of the property and pool area were also well kept with plenty of seating available. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The only frustration was the bedrooms should have a small dresser to keep clothes in. The closet in our room was extremely small and had only 3 hangers. I lived out of my suitcase throughout my stay. Just a small detail and suggestion for making future stays more comfortable. I would definitely return to this house if in the area again and would recommend to others as well.

Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay here, we wish it hadn’t been raining the entire time so we could use the basketball & bocce ball courts as well as the fire pit. Awesome Rental!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed here for a 5-night getaway to Healdsburg. The house was perfect for everyone, adults and children alike. The inside has a big open floor plan with plenty of space to comfortably hang out and the outdoor pool/hot tub/deck is so awesome. The house location is also right in the mix of tons of vineyards and short drive to downtown. Great spot all around, would highly recommend.

Wonderful Healdsburg Retreat!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is beautiful! Large and stocked kitchen, great hang out spaces (indoors and outdoors), and wonderful scenery. The bedrooms and bathrooms are more than adequate. I would say that it fits 2-3 couples best if you want privacy (3 bathrooms, but only 2 with showers). Though 8 people could comfortably sleep (4 beds).

Perfect family Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was fantastic. Perfect location, just a stones throw away from downtown healdsburg. The house was fully stocked with plates, appliances, serving platters, even kid friendly dishes for our little ones. The pool and outdoor was exquisite. We fully enjoyed spending all our time at the pool, on the loungers, at the basket ball/ pickle ball court. The living room gather area was perfect for our family to enjoy lounging indoors. All in all a great trip made even better with the attentive and responsive staff at Birdsong rental.

Nice, but not polished.

We arrived a bit early, and as directed by management went to drop items off at 1pm. The cleaners were just arriving and were not very kind. There is no place to drop anything except for the hot porch FYI. The cleaners told us to come back in 2.5 hours, even though check in was 2 hours away. The house is nice, but small inside. You should know the house is "loved on" inside and especially outside. The furniture outside was not very nice at all. The pool can NOT be heated, or at least they weren't interested in doing so, even for a fee. We were told, "if we do heat the pool, it will mess with the propane in the house"- or something to that affect. Getting a hold of the property managers is as difficult as everyone has written about here in reviews. The shower in the first bathroom is somehow broken. The kitchen is stocked "ok" at best. The outside tree lights did not work at all, nor did the pool lights. So that was dark at night. Almost pitch black. The house is NOT made for more than 6 couples. The pull out bed is IN the dining room- just an FYI. Bring ice- and ground coffee. The outside is cool, and that is where you will spend your time. Basketball court was fun.

Beautiful slice of heaven

We rented this gorgeous home to celebrate my friend’s 50th and it did not disappoint. The house was recently redone top to bottom and they covered every detail down to the kitchenware. I was especially impressed that I asked if there were champagne glasses and they bought the home new ones ahead of time. A+++

Great House!

This house was exactly what I was looking for! My friends and family had a great stay, it was so quiet, and relaxing! We had people coming from out of the area, so the 3 car maximum was hard to coordinate. I ended up calling the Healdsburg Police Department because the rental agency wasn't much help on where to park. Which brings me to my only complaint - the communication was very challenging with rental agency. I had to call VRBO to get them to call me back. I had sent numerous emails, and called numerous different phone numbers to no avail. This was a bit frustrating, and added stress to the situation. Once we were there, I have NO complaints! It was beautiful and clean!

Wonderful Two Weeks in Healdsburg!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my third visit to this property and once again it delivered. It is private, clean and well appointed. The management is very easy to deal with and attentive. My only recommendation would be an upgrade to the patio furniture b/c it is well 'loved' given the popularity of the property. I will be back! Thank you!
