• Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September
• In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March

Great short break

We had an excellent stay at Lower Mill Estate. Everything went smoothly from booking through arrival to swimming and kayaking. The views on Howell’s Mere were tranquil and inspiring, lovely trees and so many birds. The whole estate is beautifully kept and amazingly quiet for a half term holiday! We were also very lucky with the weather. We will certainly return.

Great location and excellently equipped

Beautiful views in a fantastic complex, the apartment is really well equipped and very comfortable. Orion holidays were super responsive and professional and easy to deal with.

Wonderful stay

We travelled as a family of four and really enjoyed our time at the lower mill estate. The apartment was very quiet and peaceful. Easy to access and good communication from Orion. Will hopefully be back!

Lovely apartment

Great apartment on the lake, good condition and well equipped. We really like the Lower Mill estate, it’s great for families with lots for young children. Spent 4 nights there as a group of 6 which was a bit snug but would recommend.

Excellent facilities.

Fantastic place, great amenities, weather was good but you only have sun on the balcony for a few hours in the morning. Only thing stopping me going back would be the cost.

Beautifully apartment

Extremely comfortable and well stocked apartment, everything was a high quality. Excellent location for the Cotswolds Spacious balcony with large table over looking the lake. Lots of places to sit. Extremely well stocked kitchen.

Size of apartment amazing. Modern. Clean. Sufficient amount of towels. Kitchen area fabulous. Scenery beautiful. Usage of pools great. Parking good. Quiet which was amazing.

Howells Mere Sept '23

Well appointed flat, nice balcony view over the lake. My only negative is the signage around the grounds. It's a very large site, with a lot of accommodation blocks. Signage to locate the property was poor, especially arriving in darkness. Thus, a frustrating start to the break, but overall would recommend the Lower Mill Estate as a good place to stay, with decent amenities and lots of activities nearby

A lovely stay in a great location

88 Howells Mere is a lovely apartment, with plenty of space and a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The location is spot on, just a short walk up to Balihoo and the Spa. It has everything you need, with comfy beds and a spacious lounge to relax in. Highly recommended!

Amazing place and beautiful setting

We have stayed at Lower Mill Estate on several occasions. This was one of better kept properties we stayed at. everything was in working order and lots of towels and extras were at the property. Orion Holiday rentals were very helpful too. lovely place
