Cosy apartment with balcony close to the historical center, free parking & wifi

The apartment has a bedroom with a queen size double bed, large wardrobe, baby bed, a 55 inch smart TV with Netflix, small desk and chair, radio, CD player, books, a safe deposit box and a balcony.
In the spacious kitchen a large Miele dishwasher, Miele stove and oven, Miele refrigerator, filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, toaster , plenty of dishes, a sitting sofa and a wardrobe. In the bathroom a shower, sink and WC. In the balcony a table with 2 chairs and an awning.
All our 3 apartments are located in a small house in a quiet neighborhood, at most 15 walking minutes from the historical center. Each apartment has a private parking place in the yard, Common to the 3 apartments is a washing room on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble drier, for use of our guests. In the little garden in the back you will find an open hut for bikes, in case you decide to rent one.
Bedlinen and towels are provided.
All apartments are non-smoking apartments. Smoking only on the balcony or in the garden.
You will find a folder on the table with a list of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets close by , on the way to the center and in the center.
You'll find several restaurants in the neighborhood, at a walking distance of 2 to 10 minutes, also 2 supermarkets at most 10 minutes walking distance and a bakery about 5 walking minutes from the apartments.
Bus number 27, at about 3-4 minutes walking distance in Ganshofstrasse takes you to the center. Bus number 1 on Maxglaner Hauptstrasse , about 5 walking minutes away, takes you to the center and to the train station. .Bus number 2, about 5-6 minutes walking distance on Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse will take you to the airport.
Check in time: If there are guests leaving on the same day, check in time is 15 o'clock. It is possible to deposit your luggage in the apartment from about 10:30 o'clock.
If there are no guests leaving on the day you arrive, you can check in anytime .

We had a lovely stay in this apartment. Ruth was very helpful re check in and everything was at it said. It was nice to sit outside at the end of the day. It is an easy 15 minute walk into Salzburg and the buses are convenient too.

Salzburg Cozy

The flat is well equipped for a short or long stay. Nice and cozy to go back to after a day of touring. Within walking distance to old town but it is a bit of a hike.

Stay in Salzburg

My wife an I stayed in this apartment during our visit to Salzburg. It is located just outside the old town, within walking distance. The property was well kept and had ample parking for us. The host was also quite helpful in answering our questions and giving us recommendations. I would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Ruth was fantastic to deal with even though she was away at the time.. the location was easy to get transport.. we had our own car but the bus was easier...couple great places to eat nearby.. all amenities were available ..overall it was a great stay

This was by far one of the best I have stayed in. Fully equipped, including a safe. Very clean , bright & updated. The owner was very accommodating and was quick to answer emails. I would give this a 5 . It is an easy walk into the old city.

Christmas in Salzburg

Ruth’s apartment is conveniently situated in a quiet residential street within walking distance of the city centre and various attractions. The apartment is comfortably appointed, warm with everything you need for a short stay. Communication with Ruth was easy with rapid responses. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful

We chose Salzburg as the place to stay for easy access the the Konigsee and Berchtesgaden National Park. Our stay was very enjoyable and met our expectations. Our apartment was in a residential area with access to local food and other services and a comfortable walk away from Salzburg’s beautiful old city. Our host was helpful in providing lots of information to facilitate check-in and guide our stay. Highly recommend the pizza at nearby Ristorante Roma. We had a good time.

Tidy , well appointed apartment.

We enjoyed our stay in this well located apartment . If was very clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The owner contacted us very promptly and provided helpful information . She checked in with us while we were there to make sure everything was Ok. I can recommend her and also the accommodation. We had a great time in Salzburg and very much enjoyed driving around the lake region nearby which is truly beautiful.

Very nice small apartment in a very quiet neighborhood. Not far from old town. Short walk to many buses or little longer walk through tunnel to old town. The shower is a bit small for large people, but was fine for us. Ruth left many instructions and suggestions for Eating and connections.

5 days in Salzburg

The house is very cosy, nice to live in for 5 days. The location is perfect, it only takes 5 minutes by bus to get to the center. It's silent outside and you can sleep very well. As it says it's quite small for 4 people, but for 2 couples is perfect as you should like sleeping close to each other. Well we were absolutely satisfied and we miss it already! Very comfortable and sweet for a perfect visit to Salzburg!

Great quiet location yet close to the action

What a great place to stay! Ruth was so kind and amazing, gave us a personal tour of the property, answered all our questions and even helped us get back a ring that my partner left by mistake. She even took the time to give us a map marked with the closest groceries, restaurants and bakery, totally above and beyond. I recommend this place as a wonderful spot to stay and Ruth as a gem of a ,person, kind and considerate! We will stay there again for sure. The perfect way to see the lovely city of Salzburg. Many Thanks for a wonderful time.

Comfortable and well equipped

We loved the apartment. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped. The owner provided detailed information for us before we arrived; when we arrived she had prepared a great guide to the apartment and the area. She was extra helpful by arranging a taxi for us. We liked being away from the tourist areas. However, it's only 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the center; it's also on a busline.

feeling at home in Salzburg

I had a wonderful holiday in Salzburg, and it was due to the lovely Ruth' studio, as well. Ruth provided me with clear instructions and she managed as I found anything I needed. the apartament is very clean and well furnished (tasteful furniture) and everithing works perfectly. Last but not least, the free space to park the car in the yard. Wonderful! I surely recommend this comfortable studio to my friends. Ilaria

Great Location

Very satisfied. It was easy to find, it had sufficient parking spaces. We had the ground floor studio apartment. Clean and comfortable, TV, but no English laungage channels, which was not a problem for us. Great shower, with a very efficient boiler, but a very big boiler, you WILL bang your head on it when getting off the toilet. Easy walking to the city, no need to use your car or the excellent public transport. I was very happy to stay here. The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute walk away. Turn right as you leave the property, then take the first turning to the right, go to the end of the road. Turn left onto the main road. The supermarket is called BILLA is about 200 meters on the right.

Cozy and clean

The apartment was as advertised. Dr. Ruth does an excellent job communicating and had a binder with helpful information in multiple languages. The apartment was within walking distance to the old town...about 17 minutes for me. There are several restaurants close by, two grocery stores and a bakery. We did not feel the need to have a car rental as everything was close and public transportation was efficient. We would recommend the apartment for those looking to stay just outside the old town and in a quite neighborhood. We walked back from town at night and never felt unsafe. If you are a larger person you may find the shower is a little snug. We would stay here again next time we are in Salzburg. Thanks Dr. Ruth!!!!

wonderful Studio Apartment

Thank you for a wonderful 5 night stay in your studio apartment. Well furnished, nice and cosy (whilst a winter wonderland outside!). It was a pleasure to return after a busy day exploring Salzburg and the Christmas Markets, to your warm and well equiped home. Very convenient for buses - to and from the airport, and into old town. Flat is within walking distance from central sights (husband set off on foot one day) but as pavements a bit slippy with all the snow and ice, we tended to catch the bus, which runs very 15 mins (into late eve). All mod cons including fast wi- fi, a bonus if you need to keep in touch with family. Most comfy bed settee we have ever slept on. Would highly recommend staying in this apartment and self catering. Cuts the cost down a bit as Saltzburg is rather expensive to eat out all the time (though would recomment Hotel Sacher for coffee and Torte!) Thank you Ruth for for a lovely stay in Salzburg.

over the top

i am a 70 year old woman who enjoys traveling by myself & go on 4 two week adventures a year. very rarely do i stay in a hotel & have found wonderful rentals on vrbo. this rental is at the top of my list. dr ruth dick is an amazing woman whose attention to detail is second to none! the apt is so well equipped that one could easily live there! i am a gourmet cook & had everything i needed in the incredibly equipped kitchen. it was so nice not to have to run to the store to get salt, pepper towels, dish soap, etc, etc. ruth met me @ the apt & showed me around. it took me 20 mins to walk to the ctr of town & it was an easy walk. i felt safe & walked home in the dark all 5 days i was there. it was a pleasure to rent from dr ruth dick!

Great stay in a comfortable apartment that was conveniently located

I stayed in this apartment for 2 days while my partner and I visited Salzburg and it’s Christmas markets in December 2022. The apartment was exactly as described, super clean, very comfortable, and easy to find. The washer and dryer available on site were also great. The owner, Ruth, was very helpful with all of the information she provided us, including about how to easily get to town and to the nearest markets and bakery (thanks for the great map!), and was responsive to all of our questions and needs. She even arranged a taxi for us on our last day! The location of the apartment is quiet, slightly outside town and very near bakeries, several good grocery stores, etc., as well as an easy and pleasant walk to public transportation. It’s a straight shot on the bus to downtown Salzburg (or anywhere else you want), and public transportation is very easy to take here. It’s also quite close and easily accessible from the train station. All-in-all, we had a nice time in this lovely apartment and I would highly recommend staying her, and would do so again in the future. Thank you Ruth!

I live in the mountains about 90 km. from Salzburg. Therefore I am unfortunately not always able to meet my guests. I come to Salzburg on average once a week and love to meet my guests if I have an opportunity. I have a neighbour at Ganshofstrasse who takes care of my guests when I am not there. I also love to travel and when I am travelling my son and my neighbour take care of my guests.

I like this area because it is a nice, safe and quiet residential area and only 15 walking minutes to the entrance of the historical center, Neutor. Also at most 5 walking minutes to the next bus stops and a bakery.

This apartment faces 3 directions so there is always sun coming in from somewhere. It has a private parking place, which is a big advantage in Salzburg. This apartment is on the ground floor. There are only 6 apartments in the whole building, 2 on each floor. The apartment has an electric heating which the guests can control so they can control the temperature in the winter.
