For the price we were paying, we didn’t expect to have our electricity monitored daily and charged if over the daily allowance. There was an infestation of bees and flies that should’ve been taken care of prior to our day of arrival. While the house looks very nice, the window placements really didn’t take advantage of the wonderful breezes-it was definitely more aesthetics than usefulness. Blanca was amazingly responsive and a wealth of information!

Thank you again for your rental and I am sorry you were felt disappointed. Utila is known for having very expensive electricity, which is privately owned. Most rentals in Utila have an electricity allowance which is a necessity because if a guest let all the AC run throughout their stay that would result in a financial los for the owner. When I built the house, I put in far more windows than is typical on the island, and most of the windows have screens and can be opened.

Beachfront vacation

Beautiful home right on the water with beach. Beautiful views of blue ocean and breezy nights. Plenty of room for all. Infinity pool, large kitchen and living area, washer & dryer, gated home perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Great stay!

We highly recommend Rocky Point. The location of the house is fantastic, management goes above and beyond and is easy to work with (Blanca is awesome), the house is clean and is as described. We will definitely return.

Fantastic home and location!

We had a wonderful time staying at this home in Utila. The breezes keep the bugs away, the home is close to town but far enough to be quiet, and having the coral island off the shore is a big bonus! Blanca was very helpful getting us situated and up to speed on Utila. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Spot!

My family stayed at Rocky Point house for a week and absolutely loved the property! There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone, the house was clean and well stocked, and the pool and ocean access were a must for the June heat! The house caretaker couldn't have been nicer, which made for a relaxing stay. It's a short drive from the main strip, so a golf cart or moped is advisable. Overall, a great place!

Great beachfront property

Lovely view, shaded back porch & pool. Immaculate. Blanca was so helpful in meeting us at the airport and helping arrange transportation, etc. The dirt road to the property needs upkeep, which they said is scheduled but has been delayed due to frequent rains. A golf cart managed it fine.

Wonderful Tradewinds Home with a Spectacular View

We absolutely loved our stay at Rocky Point House. Adam’s house is more than you can imagine. It has everything you need for a great stay and Blanca was so attentive and kind. She was available to reach out to if ever you needed anything. From almost everywhere in the house you had a fantastic view, especially from the deck and relaxing in the pool. Our daughter and her boy friend acquired their Advanced Diving Certification while in Utila and were able to snorkel off the dive boat with a wild pod of dolphins! It was a memorable and fantastic vacation. Thank you Blanca and Thank you Adam for sharing your lovely home with us! Kathy & Anthony Rosling

We had an amazing travel experience in Honduras! The house is great. We enjoyed our time spent there. We are a family of 6, (three generations). Were there some hiccups? Sure! But you have to remember we are in a Caribbean climate and the wear and tear on the electric systems and an unreliable electrical source causes damage to both the appliances of the house and the circuit breakers. There were more issues than we expected, but we rolled with it! The house manager, Blanca is an angel on earth. She was on top of any concern we had. She did her best to fix any issues with grace and kindness.With that said, this house is amazing! The view couldn’t have been more spectacular. We loved watching the sunrise from bed! Utila is not only naturally beautiful, but the people and food were nothing short of phenomenal. While there, we enjoyed Scuba, snorkeling, exploring, and eating our way through the island. Mango Tango and Mahmmut steak restaurants are not to be missed. Back to the house, we loved the outdoor shower and dunk tank to wash our gear. The backyard island is a quick swim from the beach, and was so much fun to explore. And finally, but most importantly for us, was the reef just to the right of the house! It was so healthy and vibrant! It had a wonderful variety of sea life. We swam with dolphins just off the backside of the island in the backyard.We would return. Great memories were made!!

Feels like Paradise!

Our family of 8 (parents plus 3 adult children & spouses) thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at the Rocky Point House. Blanca welcomed us at the ferry as promised, oriented us to the property, and was available via WhatsApp throughout our stay for any needs or questions that may have come up. I agree with other reviewers that the pics for some reason do not do this place justice. It is even better than it appears. The great room space being on the second floor with all the windows overlooking the ocean is a space I never wanted to leave except for the fact that the master bedroom space was so wonderful as well. Never have I had the opportunity to wake up to such beautiful sunrises. The tradewind breezes truly do keep the insects at bay so we had little problem with them while at the house. (Needed bug spray for eveningsin town.) We enjoyed snorkeling around our own private island just outside our door. Overall it’s just a lovely place to spend time and we would definitely most highly recommend to anyone visiting Utila.

Best Trip Ever- Rocky Point House, Utila

THIS PROPERTY IS AMAZING! The home is gorgeous, much more *wow* factor than shown in pictures. Sunrises from the home are like no other. SO MANY WINDOWS!! The kitchen is well stocked with all needed supplies. We even had fresh coffee from the Utila Chocolate Factory personalized just for the Rocky Point House! Between the fans and trade winds, it was often sufficient to keep rooms cool. We did use the AC units most nights. There were books, card games & ping pong for rainy days. The infinity pool was gorgeous. A little chilly due to rain, but kids still loved it when we needed a break from the ocean. The sandy beach directly in front of the property is the best/largest on this side of Utila. Tons of shells. There is some trash that washes up too, but that’s just part of island life. The kids took a trash bag down & competed to see who could gather the most trash. It was also a good lesson for the kids (& us adults) on why recycling & not littering are so important Great snorkeling. We saw octopus, large crab, barracuda, & tons of other creatures right by the house! You can walk (or swim) over to the island out front. Mostly coral but at low tide it has great small, soft sand beaches Warning- in the evenings, the sea spray really gets to blowing. If windows are open, the tile can get very slippery. The home is so sturdy. I don’t like to hear floors squeaking and hear every step your housemates make. Not in this home! Even with 3 stories you can’t hear any stomping around from footsteps above you! It’s so easy to get to town… one road! The main road of town is paved but turns to dirt after the bridge. The dirt road takes you straight to this property. This road does get pot holes and mud puddles during the rainy season. Locals said it’s usually graded 1x/year at the beginning of spring (March/April-ish). A tuk tuk ride from the house to town is about $2 per person 1 way. We did this the 1st few days then got tired of paying & just rode bikes or walked to town! The walk can be tiring for little or older legs in the mid-day sun (15-18 min), but it’s a pretty easy bike ride, 4-5 minutes. You can bike from one end of town all the way to the other in just a few minutes Lastly, Blanca. She is a saint. She made the entire trip easy breezy. Met us at ferry, answered any question, organized horseback riding, tuk tuk rides, made sure we had everything & more, even surprised my daughter with birthday balloons & a gift! We would come back just for her!

Great place for the week

The property was wonderful to stay at with a great view and plenty of space. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival and Blanca was very helpful throughout the week. The house is a bit of a walk from town, easy enough to go once a day but if multiple trips in are planned bikes or a tuktuk are the way to go.

Perfect house on the perfect beach

My girlfriend, sister, and two of our daughters in their late teens did a girls trip. We could not have chosen a nicer property Period the wind on this particular beach is a little bit higher there for almost no bugs to speak of. When the wind died down we did have some... The reviews from this property are outstanding. The rooftop deck was incredible for sunrises and sunsets Period we absolutely loved having a pool. The house is beautiful and very well-maintained and has everything you will need for your stay. Blanca, the property manager, made sure we had everything we need and met us at the dock upon arrival. She was also kind enough to make sure we had a birthday cake and lobster tails for a special dinner. I would highly recommend this property!
