The location is wonderful, the ocean views are beautiful!! The home itself is very roomy. The hosts do go out of their way to help and make things right. We did have some issues but they tried their best to get things right. Upon our arrival the power went out for a bit over an hour and at first I was not concerned since they had advertised they have solar panels/generator. Neither works!! They had a power surge that ruined them, the master bedroom ceiling fan and the fridge were not working properly. The big tv in the living room also was damaged so they did bring in a small tv. I bought ham 3X for sandwiches and it spoiled 3X so I stopped buying food. I did report it so hopefully they will fix it. The home is in need of some TLC as well as the outdoor furniture. Due to the issues we did have I want to say the hosts did try to make us as comfortable as possible & they are very responsive. The home takes forever to cool off in the livingroom b/c the ceilings are so high and the fans do not work properly. The master befroom stays warm too. Utila is beautiful and you will love the island but make sure to pack some off with deet of at least 25% b/c the mosquitoes will eat you up. Good food at The Point right up the road and Buschâs is the best grocery store.
