« La Petite Maison » is the ideal holiday home for accommodating for 2 people with a maximum of 4 persons. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout gives this property a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, perfect to enjoy your holiday for however long. There is an entrance lobby on the ground floor following through to a good sized double bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space leading on to a shower room and separate toilet with a hand wash basin. On the upper floor is a spacious open plan fully equipped kitchen / Dining area with table and chairs for 4 people / lounge with wood burning stove. The lounge area has a sofa bed if accommodating more than 2 guests, the lounge-can seat 5 people as two arm chairs and a sofa bed seating 3 people , free wifi , English satalite TV and French cable TV through smart Wall mounted flat screen TV .

“La Petite Maison” is ideally situated in the picturesque village of Pont d Ouilly set in the heart of the Suisse Normande, close to the medieval town of Falaise and birth place of Guillaume le Conquérant, under an hour from the ferry port and only 30 mins from two main line train stations direct to Paris 2 hours away, making this a perfect holiday destination. Both the River Orne and Noireau flow through Pont d Ouilly adding to its charm and beauty and with so much on offer from outdoor adventures including kayaking, paragliding, horse riding, cycling and the numerous walks to just relaxing on the terraces of the bars and tasting the culinary delights of the region, this village is suited to all. From spring onwards there are numerous musical events and every Sunday afternoon why not partake in the dancing (La Guinguette) accompanied by an accordionist or just enjoy being a spectator on the banks of the river. Pets are welcome more than one must first please request.

I am from England originally but lived and worked in Switzerland and then settled in France over 23 years ago , I also have a B&B plus a camp site near thury harcourt just 15 mins from my work place in pont d ouilly not 3 minutes from my small house that I rent out .. so I am a very busy person .

The area is so beautiful with stunning views across the area , the river Orne allows for so many spots ,swimming ,kayaking and fishing , the area is well known for hand gliding and the courses run for all ages. This area has some fantastic mountain biking tracks and roads for road bikes . The walking treks are some of the best in France were you can follow the river or trek through the deep valleys . This is a walkers delight.

It’s a modern well thought through accommodation with beautiful furnishings, very snug and has a warm homely feel that you don’t want to leave ( at least that’s what people tell me ) it has all the modern appliances you need as well as a lovely round glass fronted wood stove . It is situated in the centre of the village and even has a pizza machine not 20meters from the front door , the park and the boules sand pits are just across the road that runs along the river front , free parking and a electric charging point is also just opposite not 50 meters away .
