River Ness runs through the heart of Inverness and visitors can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Ness Islands - a group of islands connected by footbridges.
Just a short drive from Inverness, lies Loch Ness, one of Scotlandâs most famous and mysterious bodies of water. Loch Ness is renowned for its mythical creature, the Loch Ness Monster or "Nessie". Visitors can take boat tours to explore the lake and learn about its fascinating history and legends. Additionally, there are several walking trails along the loch, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Other places that are within a 30-minute drive are close Muir of Ord, Fortrose and Nairn.
