Family friendly apartment with parking in central Ambleside
Libby's Place is a lovely ground floor apartment just a five minute walk from central Ambleside with off street parking. A great space with two bedrooms and two shower rooms as well as a roll top bath ready for you to soak in after a day exploring in the Lakes. Ambleside is perfectly located in the South Lakes so if it's cafes and restaurants, beautiful views, outdoor thrills, a bit of history or just some de-stress contemplation and relaxation you're after, then look no further.
The Property:
There is one step up to the entrance hall for the apartments but Libby's Place is all on one level.
You will enter the apartment through the communal entrance hall. Once inside, you'll find the utility on the right. This is the place to store your wet and/or muddy boots and coats. You will also find the washing machine and dishwasher in here, as well as a heated drying rack, dehumidifier and shoe dryer.
At the end of the entrance hall you will find the shower room and separate toilet on the right before you reach the twin bedroom.
Turning left you will enter the open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and grill, gas hob, microwave oven, fridge and freezer. The lounge has a Smart TV, DVD player and a Playstation 2.
From the lounge you can access the King bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom has a roll top bath with a hand set and a separate mains shower with a drench head.
There is also a shared area outside the entrance to the apartment with outdoor furniture where you can sit and enjoy a drink and watch the world go by.
You will have the whole property to yourself.
The Local Area:
Ambleside sits at the northern end of the Lake District's largest body of water, Windermere. So if it's water based activities you're looking for then head there for boat trips and boat hire or take your paddle board or kayak out for the day.
For those looking for adventure then take a look at Brockhole Tree Top Treks, Go Ape at Grizedale Forest or the Via Ferrata at Coniston.
Those of you wanting to walk the Lake District have chosen the right place to start with plenty of routes beginning from Ambleside.
History buffs should take a look at the ruins of a Roman fort near Borrans Park, or venture a little further afield to Sizergh Castle, Blackwell House or Wray Castle. And for a bit of family entertainment there's Zeffirerellis independent cinema or the White Platts Recreation Ground.

The property is set up to allow remote access with easy self check-in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed.
Please note: Check-in is from 16:00 and Check-out is before 10:00
Parking and Public Transport:
There is a single parking space provided at the front of the property which is marked with a number 2. Please do not occupy any of the other spaces as they are reserved for other residents.
The closest bus stop to the property is the Loughrigg Avenue stop approximately one minute walk away and Windermere train station is approximately 10 minutes away by bus or taxi.
We Provide:
We provide a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, oil, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil and greaseproof paper as well as a washing-up pack, oven gloves and tea towels. The consumables should last at least a couple of days. If you do need to top up your supplies there is a Tesco Express in Ambleside, just a five minute walk from Libby's Place, where you will be able to do this. We also provide locally made hair and body wash and hand wash in refillable aluminium bottles from Bath House and some cleaning products in case you need them while you are visiting. The cleaning products can be found under the sink in the kitchen.
Additional Fees/Charges:
A pre-authorisation fee of ÂŁ100 will be applied to your credit card 24 hours before checkout as a damage deposit. This will be automatically refunded if not needed 10 days after checkout.
A ÂŁ50 charge will be requested if you check out or check in up to an hour outside the set times without prior permission and an extra night's rate for any time greater than this.
There will be a ÂŁ50 call out fee if keys are locked inside the property and a ÂŁ100 fee if keys are lost or not left in the key safe on your departure.
Parties are strictly prohibited.
Extra guests are not allowed unless you are advised otherwise.
Respect for our neighbours is much appreciated so we ask you to keep the noise down between 10pm and 7am.
Please note that check in time is from 4pm and check out is before 10am. Unless you have advance approval for an early check in or late check out, these will be charged at ÂŁ50 for up to an hour and an extra night's rate for any time greater than an hour.
