Great place to stay in Florence

Marco was our host and was fantastic. From showing us all the amenities of our stay, to making recommendations for food and shopping, Marco was outstanding. The accommodations were great. It is close to everything we wanted to see, but also far enough from the crowds to be quiet in the evenings.

New Years in Florence

This place was amazing. It is right in the middle of everything that you want to see. We loved the outdoor balcony, the painted ceiling in the living room and all of the furnishings. There was even a decorated Christmas tree. They were waiting for us. Teona was a wonderful host.

Perfect Place to Stay in Firenze

The property was in a wonderful location and well kept. The property manager, Marco, was a wonderful host, providing recommendations for dinner and things to do in the neighborhood. It was a wonderful stay.

Great central location in Florence. Lots of shopping, restaurants and small super market around the corner. You can walk to anywhere. Comfortable beds and living area. Would stay here again.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Florence

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at the Bargello Terrace! Great central location close to all the major attractions. Very clean and beautifully decorated and maintained. We especially enjoyed having our morning espresso and evening wine on the terrace!

Excellent location, great apartment and an amazing host..!

We absolutely loved our stay in Florence and our host (Marco) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Marco not only suggested great restaurants, he also helped with booking reservations. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Cute and comfortable apartment in an ideal location, central to everything. Checking in and out was a breeze and the host even provided some good restaurant recommendations. We had a wonderful stay in Florence!

Excellent location, beautiful apartment!

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous apartment. It is in a wonderful location, we walked to all of the sights, including to and from the train station easily. The neighborhood has wonderful shops, cafes, and restaurants. Our favorite part was the terrace and the beautiful view. We would definitely stay here again. John is a wonderful host, he made everything very easy.

Fabulous Florence Apartment!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We stayed at the Bargello Terrace for a second year in a row and loved it just as much as ever! Great location, wonderful space with comfortable beds! The pull out couch is truly like another bed…so you can truly fit 6 if you wanted to! We love the terrace overlooking the Bargello castle. Magical!!! Marco was fantastic and incredibly reliable. Whenever I reached out to him he responded immediately! He also gave us a few restaurants! Grazie Florence!!! 💕💕💕🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Perfect in every way

Such a lovely stay and John was amazingly accommodating with a late departure. The apartment is close to everything, yet very quiet. Wisteria terrace with view of Bargello is dreamy. Thank you!

Please be aware that this is a very central location.in the old central city of Florence. It is on the 3rd floor with stone steps. You must be in good physical condition to get up the stairs to the apartment The terrace is lovely

This apartment was absolutely wonderful. John was a superior host, very friendly, available, and quick to respond to any challenges. The apartment is very spacious and worked out well for myself and my guests. My stay was 1 month, and happy to say that my temporary home couldn't have been better. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful base for exploring Florence

Spacious, clean apartment on a quiet street, within steps of the Bargello Museum. Beautifully decorated living room, two comfortable bedrooms, a well-stocked kitchen and a lovely terrace for watching the swallows swoop at dusk above the rooftops. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

A week in Florence

We stayed for nearly a week in this central location. The apartment is well equipped, with comfy beds, nice linens, pretty kitchenware, hot showers, and a lovely terrace to sit in the mornings and plan each day. We were able to walk everywhere we went, including the bus station for one day trip to a vineyard south of the city. John left clear instructions and helpful suggestions. It felt like a real privilege to be able to stay in the heart of such a culturally and historically rich city.

42 stairs and no elevator. Make sure you can handle the climb. But if you can you can’t beat a better location.

Elegant refuge in the heart of historic Florence

The apartment is clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. Steps from the Duomo and the Uffizi, it was the perfect getaway from the heat when we couldn’t walk anymore. The kitchen and small balcony are adorable. We enjoyed cooking breakfast before heading out for the day, and some wine at night with cheese. The owner, John, was very helpful and responsive, with good recommendations for various meal options. Only 2 things to note: the apartment is on the third floor with no elevator and the bldg is located in the historic zone, so need to follow John’s suggestion for the garage to avoid fines if you drive in. Would stay there again!

Perfect base for Florence

This apartment is very beautiful, well decorated, and comfortable for a family of four. The kitchen is well stocked and having a washing machine is a bonus. We enjoyed having the small patio to sit and relax on. The location is very centrally located and we were easily able to walk everywhere easily including Boboli Gardens, Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio. The neighborhood is quite lively and chocked full of wonderful restaurants. One thing to be aware of is the stairs leading up to the apartment are not lit at night. I found it a bit odd since there are several flights of stairs to ascend.

Fabulous Florence Stay!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my stay in Florence at this beautiful apartment. Property manager John has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. My daughter is studying this fall in Florence and I wanted to have it for an extended period of time and invite friends for a little getaway from the states. The apartment was clean, beds were incredibly comfortable, the outside space overlooking the Bargello Palace was just beautiful. Tons of space in the apartment and it was close to everything! I could not have chosen a better apartment to stay at for three weeks! It felt like home away from home. If you are looking for a comfortable space with a truly wonderful owner, you have found the right place! Don’t be afraid to just pop in to some of the restaurants right near the apartment… You don’t have to have a reservation everywhere in Florence. 5 stars for sure!!!!

Wonderful Apt in the heart of Florence

We recently stayed in John's apartment in Florence. The apartment was just beautiful. Well maintained, clean, up-to-date with decor, comfortable beds and quality linens and towels. The location was fantastic. Just a few blocks from all of the significant landmarks of Florence. There is a bakery/cafe and small grocery store just around the corner as well as many restaurants and gelato that you can image. John, the property owner, is a fantastic communicator. I really appreciated his promptness to my messages as well as his attention to detail on information relative to our stay. For those considering staying here, there is no lift and the apartment is on the 3rd floor. If you have any member that has significant mobility issues, they might be challenged. Our age ranged between 55 and 68. We all managed the stairs just fine but just want to provide a heads up. The apt, location and view was worth the extra steps. If I find myself again in Florence, I for sure would see if this apartment was available for a repeat stay.

Location & Comfort

We found the apartment just as listed. It’s large with room to relax and rewind after a day of sightseeing. While it is listed as the second floor, keep in mind Italy calls the first level floor 0. Getting into the property was simple; the host provided good instructions. The apartment is accessed through a locked door to the street followed by a locked gate to the staircase. The stairs up to the apartment have motion sensor lights that provide ample lighting for safety. The stone steps do get very slippery when wet so beware when the cleaning staff mops the entry and stairway! The apartment itself was secure, and we felt very safe during our 3 night stay. The bathrooms are small as are most in Italy. Towels were large and comfy which is always appreciated. A hairdryer is provided. The second bathroom functions more as a half-bath; it is a “wet” bathroom with a shower head but no contained shower stall. The apartment has a large coat closet at the entry and an armoire in the second bedroom for hanging clothes. The kitchen is equipped with cookware for making meals; groceries can be picked up at a small store nearby. The small, private terrace was nice to have. The location was perfect with piazzas, restaurants, shops, and our friends’ hotel a short walk away. The street from which you access the apartment is clean and we felt safe walking back late at night. The price was comparable to a small hotel room in the same area but offers comforts of space and privacy.
