Stayed here previously and enjoyed out stay. We like it because of the location. Its very quiet and a nice view of the lake. Centrally located and close to restaurants and state parks. The best spot in the house is the deck where we spent much of our time. The place does need updating. Old furniture and the dining room chairs are stained. The beds were clean and comfortable though. Has a new tv downstairs but it would have been nice if they left instructions on how to use it. There were 3 remotes and may be confusing for some people. The fan in the master bedroom makes noise which makes it a little difficult to sleep Also the area where the hot tub was dirty. Your able to use the dock which is nice for swimming in the lake. The were kayaks on the property but I guess were not for guests because there were no paddles. Nice backyard to sit and see the wildlife. I even saw a mama bear and her cub in the yard. Its a nice walk over to the Wisp through the trail near the condo. Overall a nice time by all

Not to bad.

Where the jacuzzi was the floor looks like it hasn’t been swept in years the outside tables and chairs where all dirty the grill lid was broken.. we have to play scavenger hunt for the remotes .. but overall the house was okay

Overall it was a nice stay

I don't normally like to complain but I have a few small points....stains on the living room ceiling, looks like something leaked. Cobwebs everywhere, basement bathroom definitely needs work done. Seems to be a hole under the carpet of the smaller bedroom upstairs, couches we're both gross looking and dusty. There was no sweeper to be found and we had to have someone check the dryer. Our stay was enjoyable but the place could be updated. I loved the location, the view was spectacular and most everything we went to was within walking distance.

Perfect Location

Great location between Lake and Wisp with close proximity to lots of activities and stores. Great hot tub, fire pit, swing set, and lots of room! No AC which was not disclosed but fans were provided. . No WiFI which was disclosed Caution to anyone with toddlers, the railing is not safe with spaces far enough apart that toddlers can fit through. They did provide baby gates for stairs but my nephew had to avoid the main level so as to avoid any falls through the railing.

Very disappointing stay

Upon entering the townhome, we were hit with a musty, dusty smell. Walking through and investigating the origin of this smell revealed very outdated, filthy conditions. The cloth covered dining room chairs were covered in stains, the throw rug under the dining room table was dirty and smelled, two pedestal fans were covered in dust (which we took apart and cleaned in order to make use of them), a towel hanger in the upstairs bathroom was torn from the wall, outdoor door mats were covered in hair, outside furniture covered in dirt, living room furniture was old and also stained. The only redeeming value of the townhome is that the beds were comfortable and the showers nice. I stayed at this home with my brother for a family getaway. If either of us had children, we would have turned away, but we made use of the townhome simply for sleeping, showering, and bodily functions. I wish I could upload photographs taken to support my claims above. I will not be reserving this property if ever again vacationing at Deep Creek.

Do not waste your money....

The listing is innaccurate. It lists cable and satellite- there was a cable box but it did not work. The radio in the dining room did not work. The property was not clean: dried eggs on 2 frying pans, dirty rag in shower and the entire place smelled musty. This place needs a DEEP clean and an update. The hot tub key and lock are rusted which made it difficult to access. Water hose/line not working so we couldn't refill water. Offering NO WIFI was extremely annoying and does not make sense considering what we spent for 2 nights - should be plenty to cover basic wifi access. After spending 10 months in quarentine we decided to plan this trip for a change of scenery. Needless to say we won't be back. If you enjoy staring at a wall after quarentining for 10 months then this place is for you. Booking online, check in/out process and location were fine. The extra single day bed in the lower level was appreciated.

Cute Lake Front Townhouse

Great place! Only thing was there was no WiFi and reception wasn’t great, I would recommend for owner to consider getting WiFi for guests. Beautiful spot right on the lake with a super clean and comfortable hot tub on the back deck. The surrounding neighbors and overall area was very quiet. The upstairs bedrooms were very very hot and there seemed to be no central air or window units, just fans for the bedrooms. Overall, I would come back here it is 2 minutes away from town and 10-20 minutes away from many state parks in the area!

Highly impressed with this getaway at Deep Creek

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious townhouse in McHenry. We were able to save money during our trip by cooking our meals (including a cookout one night on the grill!), we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, and spent the day kayaking and exploring the beautiful and vast Deep Creek Lake. The townhouse is well maintained and feels very clean and inviting. We enjoyed our stay and are already talking about when we’ll return!

Relaxing

We enjoyed time to be away with the family at this home most. The hot tub is a great addition and the lake to play in just a few short steps was fantastic! People said this place is outdated and yes it has some outdated parts, but this is a place for peace and has everything one would want! Great town too!

Don't do it.

Great location!!! Great dock!. Condition of the property was sub-standard. Mice, ants, musty smell, dirty coffee cups, dirty hot tub. I called this to Vacasa's attention, their only response was to thank me for calling it to their attention....an honest apology is appropriate. Nothing. So if figured I better warn any other potential renters. The location is super, as long as you are not particularly concerned about the condition.

Very Basic but has everything you need

We did enjoy our stay at Ski Cove! But Here are the Pros and Cons Pros: Pretty clean Supplies you with everything you need Great dock! Great location Affordable Hot tub is nice and clean Nice tennis courts Close to everything Fun Games Cons: Very outdated Musty smell when you walk in Mattresses are not that comfortable Showers are musty and smelly TV's are very small. Could not get the DVD player to work downstairs sleeper sofa is in terrible condition No A/C Window did not close

Sleep, eat, bath and leave

The only positive about this unit is the view of the lake. The decor is dated and tacky. The kitchen is small and dated but well stocked with dishes and utensils. Looks like they're in the process of refreshing this unit but they have a long way to go.

Location was perfect, place needs updating

The location and lake view were perfect! The home fit our basic needs and when we needed a set of sheets for the sofa bed, vacasa quickly responded. The hot tub was relaxing and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. Cons: The home had a musty smell and most furniture was damp to the touch. The screen door to the deck is about to fall off the hinges. A dehumidifier and a few simple updates would make this home more appealing.
