Nice, relaxing stay

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this property. The loft area was a great area for our 10 and 14 year olds. The creek was a fun place to cool your feet in after a long, hot day at Mesa Verde. Everything was nicely labeled. Would recommend to friends/family traveling to this area.

What a delight

The owners of this house make so much pride in their property. It was an absolutely pristine place, highly organized and wonderfully appointed. Organized with great amenities and thoughtful layout. Loved it as did my wife and 6 children.

Nice Quiet Place

We stayed here over July 4 to visit Mesa Verde and viewed the fireworks in Cortez. The home was great - nice and quiet with dark skies. It was fun to see the Milky Way for the first time in a few years because we live in a more populated area. Sitting by the canal reading in the morning was peaceful and calm. The home was clean, very nicely decorated, and well organized. Our three daughters slept upstairs on the two queen beds, a son slept on the couch bed, and my wife and I slept in the master bedroom. It was an easy drive into Cortez and on to Mesa Verde. If we ever return to Cortez we would definitely consider staying here again.

Perfect ranch getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was labeled and organized so well. Everything has been thought through. The windows/doors give a great view! Our kids enjoyed some of the games provided. The waterway nearby was flowing because of the rain was peaceful in the morning. The house itself was extremely clean. We would stay here again, hands down!

Girl weekend

Beautiful home and location. Enjoyed the 4-legged neighbors (horses). Host thought of everything you might possibly need. Recommend highly. Will return with spouse for couples' getaway!!!

Quiet Rustic Home

Comfortable with all the amenities needed for an extented stay. Everything labeled to make it easy to find what you are looking for. A great kitchen with quality kitchen ware. Beautiful porches and openness of home where wildlife can be viewed from the inside or outside. A very friendly and welcoming hostess.

Awesome home with easy access to nearby sights

We were looking for a launching point to visit Mesa Verde, Durango, the Four Corners, etc. and found this listing. We're glad we did. The location is nice and quiet with only the animals grazing in the pasture to delightfully entertain. The path down to the creek is cute and a great spot to paint or just relax. The wifi/Internet speed is decent and the overall accommodations made this a nice 4-night visit.

Perfect Family Vaca Spot

The name of the house perfectly describes the experience. Tucked away by a little creek you find this rustic cabin where you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor view of the woods, large tree or creek. The inside had rustic cabin interior. The place was clean and comfortable for the family. We also enjoyed the games.

Ranch Experience

We had an awesome stay at The Hideaway Ranch. The ranch ambience was exquisite! All the little touches of horse shoes and great communication made it clear the the host wanted to provide a good experience. The porches and outdoor seating was perfect. The kids enjoyed all the yard games. We had a delightful stay and would definitely recommend this quiet spot away from it all!

Great stay

The property was great inside and out. The house had everything we needed and was thoughtfully labeled so we knew where things were. The location was perfect to enjoy all the wonderful history the region had to offer. Selfishly, I hate to reveal a great property like this one. We would stay again if we come back to the area.

Magical

This was the word we all thought of as we entered the Rustic Hideway. What a fantastic place to stay!!! The owners have thought of everything. My niece forgot her toothbrush…. And there was one she could have in a basket in the bathroom. The home was clean, charming, and well appointed. If we were down this way again we would stay here for sure.

Magical

The cabin and the land around it were fabulous. The cabin was so thoughtfully organized and had everything you might possible want or need. We loved all of the outside space and my kids especially loved the creek. As one of my 12 year-olds put it, 'this place is magical!' They also went way above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a gorgeous weekend. We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful and luxurious property! We especially loved the outdoor spaces and well stocked kitchen, bathroom & laundry. It was the perfect place for our family to meet while day tripping the area. The host was responsive and thoughtful.

Outstanding

We loved our stay at Montezuma County. It's such a charming, clean and well equipped house (plenty of bedding, kitchen and bathroom supplies). Nicely decorated too. Very relaxing surrounding, with the trees and river nearby. We felt like if we were at home, not in a rented property.

Perfect place!

This place was great for my family. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was cozy and quiet. The surroundings were beautiful and the yard games were fun. We will definitely stay again and wish we had stayed longer! Communication with Tammy was prompt and helpful.

Great Little Cabin

This cabin was small and in the middle of nowhere- if you are looking to get away from it all- it is perfect! Owner was great at communicating when we had an issue. Tastefully done, perfect for 2 people.

A Day of Rest

We were very thankful for our stay near Cortez at the Rustic Hideaway! We needed a day to rest after lots of driving and hiking leading up to our overnight at this house. The setting is outside of town and very quiet. Yay! The house is super cute and has everything we needed and more. There are two queen beds upstairs with a half bath. (There is a privacy room divider between beds.) There is also separate bedroom downstairs with a queen. The full bath is off the kitchen/living area. My favorite amenities were outside with the large grill on the nice sized patio and the tree swing in the back yard. Thanks for a great stay!
