Beautiful historic cottage renovated in 2023, situated in a tranquil Peak District village and surrounded by fields.. Ground Floor:
Living room: Smart TV, Woodburner
Dining room: Patio Doors Leading To Garden
Kitchen: Electric Oven, Induction Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Coffee Machine
Utility Room: Washing Machine, Toilet

Bedroom 3: Bunk (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating (underfloor on ground floor), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. Rear garden with garden furniture and BBQ (June to Sep). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a stream in the rear garden. There is no mobile signal, however, Wi-Fi calling is available. . Easter Lane Cottage is a beautiful, historic property, set in a quiet spot on the edge of the picturesque village of Butterton in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The cottage lies in the south-west part of the White Peak and is an excellent base for those wishing to enjoy all the Peak District has to offer. The cottage is within easy reach of towns such as Leek, Ashbourne and Buxton which all are worth a visit. They all offer independent shops and cafés, as well as high street names, plenty of restaurants and bars, and Buxton also has the opera house, where you can watch shows making for a good night out. There are also several National Trust Properties nearby and the Peak Wildlife Park is within 5 miles. If you are more of a thrill seeker, then Alton Towers is a mere 10-mile drive.
Butterton sits high above the Manifold Valley. From the cottage, you can get straight onto this trail and walk for miles, connecting to other neighbouring trails. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the Peak District is within easy reach. Tissington Trail - popular with walkers and cyclists - is only 5 miles away. The local inn in Butterton is less than a quarter of a mile from the cottage and offers delicious food and ales. The property has been renovated to a high standard in 2023 with sustainable materials and underfloor heating to the ground floor.
As you drive through Butterton, to get to the cottage you pass through a ford, and from there you can see this inviting and welcoming cottage. There is ample parking outside and the stream runs by creating a relaxing atmosphere as you listen to the sounds of the water whilst enjoying the large garden this property offers. Inside the house is a kitchen with all the appliances and equipment you should need to make your favourite meal, a dining table that seats all guests, and the cute addition of a cushioned window bench; the dining room has patio doors opening it up to the garden, which has great views through fields to the distant hills. The sitting room is a comfortable and cosy space with a roaring wood burning stove to warm up in front of, after a day of walking or exploring. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed, a second bedroom with kingsize zip and link bed (which can be made into twin beds upon request), and the third bedroom with a full sized bunk bed. There is a family bathroom with walk-in shower. The ceilings have been opened up giving this first floor the âwowâ factor. It is a truly unique cottage bursting with character, perfectly placed in this quaint village, by the stream for pure relaxation and to take in what the Peak District is all about.

There is no mobile signal and currently no TV reception at the cottage. However, WI-FI calling is available and TV streaming services (iPlayer, Netfilx etc.) on Smart TV.
As of 1st March 2023, Easter Lane Cottage is currently being renovated. Pictures of the interior will be added once complete. The renovation is being done to a very high standard with strong eco credentials.
