Wonderful little house.

Great Stay on a long Weekend

We come to CC every October for an oktoberfest event. Every year we have stayed someone different, this is one of our favorites so far. It was perfect for our short stay, price right, well stocked and newly updated. It clear the owners put a lot of thought and care into setting up the home. We have 3 young kids and everyone had a great stay.

Cape Charles Get Away

Lovely, comfortable home. First floor open plan and great kitchen- loved the fireplace and loved the front porch- we sat on in the evenings before going out. Walking distance to everything- the main street, the beach or the harbor, or a very short drive. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Highly recommend- everything was perfect!

Cozy, very clean, comfy stay

This is our second time staying here, and, like our first visit, it was exceptionally clean and tidy. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the outdoor shower is a great touch. Owner was helpful during communications! Backyard playground was a hit. Our family of four (w/ two small kids) was very comfy here and would definitely return!

Wonderful Getaway

The house was our “home away from home” after a busy day at the beach. It was great to come home and cook dinner in the amazing kitchen/open floor plan. The bedrooms are all upstairs so your partner can sleep in while you make breakfast for them. The outdoor area is neat and well landscaped. The outdoor shower was terrific. It was a fantastic spot for a short vacation. I only wish I would have had more time to make it a longer vacation. Highly recommend this property and the owners.

Wonderful property

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and living area is a good open layout. 3 bedrooms and the bathroom had ample space. Would suggest some hooks in bathroom to hang towels or toiletry bag. Kitchen had the necessary amenities. It is a short walk to the Main Street and the beach although we drove. We had a wonderful time visiting CC!

Wonderful location

Beautifully decorated, but not overly fussy, the on-line photos are 100% accurate. A lovely front porch to sit on, and a nice backyard spot. We used the grill for several dinners and the kitchen was with well stocked with everything we needed to cook. We loved walking to the beach and exploring the neighborhood. The hosts responded quickly when we had questions, thank you!

Nicely redone home with plenty of room. The outdoor space is very nice as well. Great location and neighborhood. Short walk to shops and restaurants. The beach is right at the end of the road. Lovely place to stay!

Our favorite rental ever!

We stay at a lot of rentals every year and this is by far our favorite and here’s why: 1) It’s impeccably clean. 2) You can tell the owners invested in high quality furniture & furnishings which holds up well throughout the season. 3) We stayed here two years ago and since then it’s held up extremely well. There is hardly any wear and tear (because of #2). 4) The decor is perfect. Not overdone, tasteful beachy. 5) It has just what you need without the unnecessary extras that tend to bog down other rentals. 6) The location is amazing! 7) Outdoor shower!!!!! 8) Owners are extremely helpful and easy to work with. You won’t be disappointed staying in “the fish house”. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

We purchased this home in 2013 and immediately began a complete renovation (and re-configuration!). The goal was to maximize the modest size and allow the property to function like a much larger home, while maintaining the original style and charm. The renovation was completed in 2014. Over the years, we have expanded the outdoor space to include a patio and playset for children. Our family has made many memories in Cape Charles, and we welcomed our first VRBO guests in the fall of 2017. Since then, we have enjoyed sharing all the town has to offer with others.
