It’s a place to slow down and enjoy the simple things - fresh air, countryside walks, and spotting local wildlife. If you fancy eating out, you can take an easy 8-minute stroll to The Crown at Clunton, a lovely pub just down the lane, known for its great food and friendly atmosphere. There’s plenty to explore nearby too. Take a short walk up Clunbury Hill, or venture a little further to Bury Ditches, a fascinating ancient hillfort.

History lovers will enjoy visiting Hopton Castle, Clun Castle, and the medieval Stokesay Castle, all within a short drive. For a bit of shopping or a day out, head to Ludlow Farm Shop or the nearby market towns. As A.E. Houseman described it in A Shropshire Lad, Clunton really is “one of the quietest places under the sun.”
